I really agree with you that romances don't need to be that long. I read "Things I wanted to say but never did" by Monica Murphy this month and it's was 640 pages long. That's just too much.

I also read Her Soul to Take in July and the whole time it reminded me of Vampire Diaries!! It was chaotic with all the supernatural elements it felt like VD episode 😂
If you liked "Her Soul to take" I can only recommend the "Losers Duet" by the same author, if you haven't read it yet. It's a dark romance reverse harem and it is so good. I went into it thinking it would just be only smut but I was not prepared for all the emotions.
I agree with your opinion about Praise. I recommend skipping the 2nd book in the series and read the 3rd book Give Me More. You will get the “more” you’re looking for.

I can NOT do this with your videos, you’re far to high energy and put me in the best mood, a few minutes of watching and I’m wired plus you get me motivated to read when I usually procrastinate. Thanks for the warning on June First! Agreed I just wouldn't be able to get over it. I felt the same way about What Was Meant to Be. I just couldn't get over that man had been at her birth and watched her grow up. It was just icky to me and I couldn't move on. I know people loved it and I'm sure it was a beautiful romance but I just couldn't get over this person who had known the love interest as an infant and grown up with them. It grossed me out.

If you're looking for new thriller books, you should give the author Natasha Preston a try. Some tiles include "the island" " the lake" "the fear" "the twin". 😊

I had the same feeling about Five survive and I had a few problems with it that made me rate the book also 3 stars, it just didn’t hit like I wanted it to.
