- Here's another brief video from the 2021 Bernina Gran Turismo, an event born in 2014 with the aim of keep the memory of the legendary Bernina Pass hillclimb race of 1929 and 1930 alive. The protagonist in this case is a beautiful raw aluminium bodied Shelby Cobra 427 S/C who participated in the event lined up in the timed competition. Listen to the roar of the Ford 427 (7.0L) V8 engine on the beautiful, Swiss winding roads!

The originals were built entirely by AC Cars in Britain. Shelby installed the Ford engine and gearbox.

@@paulblore589the most important components. That was in the very beginning,when Shelby ordered, don't quote me ,100 chassis. Then everything was built in the US after that 🔥

Nope. That's a Kirkham. Oh, it's possible Ole Shel sold a CSX badge to the owner, but that car originated in a Polish MiG factory. It's too perfect to be original.

31 427 S/C models were made. Yet there are probably 500 videos on 427 S/C Cobras on YT. Count on it, if it's on YT and the video title has 427 S/C that it's lie.

It is the kind of car that will try to cash in your life insurance check.... Then try to buy hookers and blow with it 😂😂
It probably has a 351W small-block bored out to 427 cubic inches. Not as 'raw' sounding as a big-block 427, but definitely has the horsepower, not to mention the 200 pound or so weight savings on the front end helps it take those curves without as much drama as a big block.
