I was using a mixer wagon to put straw down for the cows on the Barvarian map. I put a couple of straw bales in the mixer and when I put the bedding down it was straw pellets in animal menu
Yeah, I had the same with a Robert straw pack mixer wagon. I dunno if it's a bug or a feature but I'm using it as the second. Was setting up a cow barn and didn't have the cash to buy a straw blower. So I tried to use the mixer wagon for it. It's basicly the same ...right.. It rips a bale apart, then dumps it.
However. It is a 1:1 ratio. 9000 litres bale of straw goes in, 9000 litres of straw pellets come out. I then dump it into a multigrain silo and use a standard cart to transfer it to the straw pack heating plant. I also use the silo to keep some pellets on hand in case I have the mixer wagon full and I need to give the cows something to defecate upon.
All of this on Hobo's hollow 4x map btw.
Games cashed plenty using the baler!
Also the glitch with the pellet palletiser shed. Using the squeezy fork crane tool registers as taking 800 litres of pellets, then if I change it to bucket it (if open!) dumps pellets onto the floor!
So I have some full 2000 liter pallets and some 1200 litres 🙃
I had issues with pallets getting stuck, so I ended up dumping the pallet out on the spot and refilled the hopper with it.
Never touched the crane again
(Plus I find it easier and quicker to zip around in a forklift)

I believe the pellet creation with a mixer wagon happened on 19 as well.
Hopefully they fix it but I don't think they will.
Mrsealyp I loaded the mixer wagon with straw pellets that I picked up using the method you showed here then I put in some hay and it turned it all to hay when I put it in the cow pen
Hi. Great vid as always. Not sure if you have mentioned this before, if you have I apologise for my error. In relation to the feed mixer wagons which require mineral feed I have found if I mix some up using silage,straw and hay without mineral feed then put it into the wwoden silos which hold 5000000 or 10000000 liters and then refill the mixer wagon it puts mineral feed in automaticaly. Saves on mineral feed or it is a possible glitch.

Auto load bale forks possibly cause a problem when loading to the feed belt when you are loading them. I had some become " bale not recognised"
Great video and info as always MrSealyP 👍... just wondering have you or any viewers tried using the forage pickup in conjunction with the comprima to see if it would speed the process up in the field?.. keep up the great work!
Tested it today with the Forage Pickup and a TMR Mixer/Feeder wagon and can confirm it only works for me with straw and not with hay and/or grass. For baling I use the KroneBigPack120_80 mod and collect the bales with a bale trailer.
you can just use a self-propelled mixer wagon :)
I havent tried it with pellets but i use the trailer from the lizard rumbler van and its biggest capacity for stuff im holding to eventually sell
Yep just had the bale collector catapult my Quadtrack and baler into space. Started work again and the complete freeze and crash.
10:40 the cow barn readout in lower right corner shows it as straw pellets but still has a 0 value for straw. Under the animals menu, it changed the words from "Straw" to "Straw Pellets" and gives the value. On my Calmsden farm with the 5 on-map cow barn it allowed me to add straw pellets to the barn which already had straw in it, so it must allow the use of both.
ETA: Just tested it, and it seems that it does let you have both in the same barn at the same time, at least on this map.

Crashed once but it was due to another mod but straw mod hasn’t had any big issues besides the bucket tool in the warehouse automatically gets pellets
Appreciate the video sir. This mod lasted maybe a few hours on my system before I got rid of it. Just like the pumps and hoses dlc, amazing mod work by the way team that made it. Just not worth using for me personally. I’m sure others love it and that’s great but I just didn’t enjoy using it.

Any suggestions on emptying pellets from the mixer into some sort of storage?
Hi there when I'm making big grass or straw bales the square bales disappear in the machine and no square bales come out of it can you show us how to fix it in Farming Simulator in 22
I’m having a problem with the conveyor belt for the finished pallets. It tells me it’s full of pallets when I’ve already moved them all out of the way. How do I fix this?
Can't get the mod to work even on the base game maps. When I deselect all mods it works but will not work when mods have been re-selected. I am currently playing on Silver Run Elmcreek and the Horch maps and the mod still won't load and freezes at 50%.
I remember in fs19 when this mod came out, if you used straw pellets for bedding for your animals, it would fill up the straw capacity instantly in the animal dialogue box and never come down. Straw would stay at 100% forever. I tried it on fs22, and THAT glitch didn’t carry over, unfortunately 😂.
Hmmm I played Hella straw harvest on fs19 on ps4/5 and never XP'd that issue.

Does anyone know if the straw pellets can be used on the biomass heating plants on the base game maps? I haven't gotten a chance to try selling them at the Zelonkia biomass plant
I think Creative Mesh did a pretty poor job. Nothing really changed compared to the last version in FS19. They did have a lot of time to make this but it seems like their attention went to the Emergency Pack (which is pretty useless in a farming game). There are a lot of buggs and glitches and so it seems like they just rushed it and didn't spend the time in optimizing it for FS22. Overall I am happy that it finally came out and it is absolutely an amazing mod but they could do a better job ik my opinion. Peace!

Does anyone know if the pellets from the pellet clench mod are compatible with the palletiser hall?
What if any differences are you find between straw harvest for 19 and 22?
The bale catcher wheels glitch out a bit sometimes and the crane bucket attachment in the warehouse automatically gets the pellets when switched to it for some reason

just be careful though as I thought i'd cheat a bit and use the pellet clench mod to mass produce my pellets and then use them on the pellet packing factory ............... it doesn't work , not compatible !!!

Hmm! Never could get this mod to upload to the game. Really upset about it.🤬
I use ps4, and I run over 300 mods with no problem. Then I downloaded straw harvest, and it won't load past 50 percent. It does work with just the official FS dlc content, and I also have the czs pack for the tools and also the government subsidies signs, and it will work. If I can't run the mods, straw harvest is useless for me. Shame shame shame
I had that problem too.
Then I cut down the mods from 50 down to 20
