Thank you Peter for posting videos, yours are easily some of the most enjoyable to watch and please don't feel as though we are going to stop watching just because you can't post that often, I guarantee there is a group of people that will watch them nomatter what, I get excited everytime I see 'edgeprecision' come up in my notifications.
Peter doesn't use any fancy editing techniques, no animations and no premade scripts and they aren't made to be as short as possible. Despite of that, his videos are far superior to most if not all other machining channels. Being able to watch him with his 40+ years of machinist experience doing daily complex cnc work, troubleshooting in the shop and even more FOR FREE is just priceless. As someone that just finished the machinist apprenticeship Peter is my role model and any video he uploads is indeed the most enjoyable and informative
Good to see you back. Take it easy and don't bee lifting those anvils 'till you heal. Would love to see a video on your new plasma cutter and related software when you can spare the time. Best regards Daniel
Subject matter expert in 3D modeling and CNC machining, does electric work with nothing but heat shrink and zip ties. I love it! Glad you're back and recovering.
I'm glad to see that you are ok. I'm also glad that the big mazak is up and running again! I've been watching for years and always look forward to any content that you deliver.
I really enjoy all your videos, glad to see you're alright after that. If you want to make more videos I know I'd be interested in one on how you used to find jobs or even just telling some stories or giving advice about whatever.
Glad to see more of your work. Just waiting to see more. Truck work is looking great. Heal well. Thank you for the time spent to inform/educate/explain, means a lot.
Glad you are all in one piece Peter, Seeing you tip the oil in the machine took me back 43 years as one of my first jobs in the tool room was helping out getting a J&S cylindrical grinder in place. The machine had to be filled up with oil and cutting fluid, so Stan the main grinder was holding a tub of oil with me at 16 shaking my head...Barry the boss was watching also..Stan said I suppose you can pour it in with out making a MESS!! Growing up my Dad had racing bikes which ran on expensive fuel and oil so I learnt not to spill any....Filled up the J&S with out spilling a drop lol Stan over the years showed me all he could on the grinders.
Thank you for still finding the time to film and edit with everything you have going on. That was a great idea with the little taco making it into a flatbed. Those are amazing little trucks, and it's no surprise to me that a guy like you wouldn't want to see that thing get scrapped lol. I aspire to be at your level of problem solving one day.
maintenance videos are just as interesting as machining content. I learned a lot, there's so much that goes into the operation of these machines, thanks as always!
Hope the recovery isn't too long and the injuries are too disruptive. Great to see you back. Wishing you a speedy recovery from across the pond. Rochford UK
Nice to see you back and I'm so sorry for your accident. I've been wondering where you have been since I love your videos and look forward to every new release. Thank you for all you do and please take care of yourself. I lost an index finger in a milling accident a few years ago, so I can relate to how injuries can impact your day-to-day activities.
Your videos are always a good watch Peter. Some time I learn from them and sometimes it is so advanced I don't but always enjoy viewing them. Like everyone, glad that you will be healing up from your accident, bad stuff sure happens fast. I bet many would love to hear how your "little project" in Mexico is coming along among all that is going on with the Covid-19.
Keep your head up Peter! You are such an awesome person! I swear, bad things only happen to good people! I'm sure you'll get threw this just fine! If you were to need any kind of help, just ask. You reach so many people here on UA-cam, I'm sure someone would step up and help you out! Me included! I have been following the flatbed build kind of wondering why you decided to do it. Now I know. It really looks like you are doing a great job designing and building it! I look forward to seeing the finished product! I wish you and your family the best and hope you heal quickly! Dan @6-4_Fab Glen Rock, PA
I noticed on one of your other videos on setting tools, the Mazak has several tool numbers that looked different but have the same tool number. That might be an interesting video explaining what's going on there. It's nice to see a Top Machinist in action, keep up the good work.
As far as soft tissue injuries, give it the rest it needs. First six weeks is when the repair takes place and after that is when you start physio. Do not let them make you take physio before the healing has taken place. Vitamin "C" has the acids required to promote soft tissue regeneration. Nice repairs on the truck. Great maintenance video!!!
I'm glad you're better , it was good to see an update . Nice to see some maintenance action too :D . That was an unfortunate accident , perhaps you should have done the surgery , but 12 weeks off is no joke .... Just don't overexert yourself .
Best of luck to you Peter. Some years back I torn up my right arm, You don't realize how much you work your body until a part doesn't work. It looks like you have plenty to keep you busy. Stay cool.
I appreciate your videos and respect your work very much. Please don't feel obligated to make videos. Your health is the most important thing. I look forward to all your videos, get well soon.
Hi Peter, Realy sorry to hear about your injury, hope that you come back to full strenght, I am glad to live in a country with free healthcare for everyone.
Good evening Peter. I am glad to see that you are okay. I was starting to wonder where you been. I hope that you heal quickly. I see that the pictures on your monitors have changed. It appears that you have also been working South of the Border. Glad to have you back and thank you for another awesome video.
Heal quickly. Age isn't on our side unfortunately. Be well and thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos. Always highly anticipated and enjoyed.
Keep your chin up. I'm not a machinist, but I still find your videos are always informative in one way or another. Again, keep your chin up and remember the positive comments you referred to ... :-)
Glad you are ok. I had the same situation. My gf at the time (now wife) was the witness and the insurance would take her word. She was driving behind me. It is a sucky situation to be in. After that I bought a dashcam and all the mishaps later I just send the video to my insurance and it get taken care fast. Sad to say ppl are not very honest these days.
Sorry to hear about your accident Peter, as others have already said, don't worry about how often you post a video, I will still watch every second of it 😁
Wow, that was a nasty injury. I hope the recovery is going well and you are not over working. That replacement truck bed is going to be a lot stronger than the original; looks like you are making lemonade from that lemon. ;-)
Hey Peter, sorry to hear you had the accident... I had something similar happen to my arm. I was 20 feet up in a tree and a branch I had been climbing on all day broke and I fell on my left side. My upper arm bone shattered into 19 pieces and the ball was pushed over under my peck on my chest. I had surgery and they wrapped the bone in some kind of fiber and put me back together. I have got back about 50% usage of the arm but it hasn't slowed me down or kept me from doing what I want to do. If there is something I can't do like I used to, I figure out some kind of rigging or leverage to make it happen. I know you are the same way by seeing your videos. I thoroughly enjoy your videos but don't push yourself. Take it easy and get well soon Sir!!!
@Right Round Yes sir, I have seen limbs fall and do lots of damage. I had one that was about 6 inches also fall and my brand new truck was under it. I was blessed and the power line coming to my house caught it and it didn't even touch my truck. I drove the truck out from under it and chainsawed it to get it down. That was wild!!!
That's terrible to hear! 😧 I really hope you a speedy recovery. It's never a bad thing to be selfish from time to time when it's your health and well being. And don't worry about us, we'll still be here.
Nice repair on the chiller fan Peter. You look like you are making good progress on your truck CNC plasma tables are a huge fabrication aide. Regarding your accident, what a sad state of affairs. I would have hoped your insurance company would have taken a more active role in pursuing damages from the other person.
Love all of your videos. Btw that over temp alarm might still have happened because you were test running the condenser without the side cover in place so the air would not be getting sucked through the heat exchanger, just taking the path of least resistance thru the open side. Probably only didn't alarm out because the machine wasn't under any load I guess...best wishes for a speedy recovery. Skip the surgery, heal, then do some PT.
Thanks tajelly! I did reinstall the side panels. I just didn’t show it in the video. Before the machine would get a alarm just setting idle. So I think it’s a good indication if it didn’t get the alarm after. But we shall see Monday when I’m running a job.
Hi Peter, I'm glad you are OK & hope that you heal quickly. One thing that sets you apart is your attention to detail and precision. If you are stuck for content, give your body a rest and show us how you maintain your tooling and metrology equipment. This'll be productive, keep your mind busy and a load off your body. Stay safe and well :)
Sorry to hear about your problems with the arm and car. I've had a bum shoulder for a few months now, and it isn't a lot of fun. I hope things get better for you quickly! If you feel you need some filler material for your channel you could show welding on the new flatbed for your truck. I'm sure most of us would watch it. I would.
A person close to me just went through something personal and traumatic recently, too. Just today they were telling me about how they didn't know what to do, and didn't know what to feel or think about it. Thinking abstractly, I think that "What we should do" is "The most important thing we can." Makes sense, right? So what's at the most important thing we can do, that should be at the top of our priority lists? Though we all love and are grateful for UA-cam and your projects - the most important thing we can do today is take care of ourselves! So I'm grateful that you had taken a little time to recover, and I hope that you wait even longer for the next video, if it's something that you think is going to be "best" for you! Long story short: Take care, man! Don't forget all the follow-up physical therapy and stuff for that shoulder...thank you!!! Edit: I also really like that broken key. 😂
My brother had a similar bicep surgery and now says he wished he hadn’t done it. So you’ll probably be better off just toughing it out. Recovery time and healing ain’t no joke...
You must have really had a rock solid grip on that shifter. Glad you did'nt get hurt worse. Make sure to rehab, it'll come back quick if your diligent.
sorry to hear about your accident.good to see your on the road to recovery. i look forward to your videos, you do some amazing work . the bed project looks interesting. how about some videos on that?
Peter, bad luck with your car and the resulting injury to your arm. I hope things get better from now on. Your car is definitely getting better than the original spec's knowing your building standards. I would love to see the process of rebuilding it on youtube also. I don't use instagram and I'm not planning to do so. My head is already busy enough with input from private live, phone, newspaper, email and work as a one-man show just like you. If you don't find enough time to make a new video; I don't unsubscribe and patiently wait until you do so or not. Doing the best you can during circumstances is the only way to go. No surgery, bite the bullet and continue; you're a tough and amazing guy! An example for all the soft dough folks who stay home after a drinking night as being "not well or maybe sick" What's the Mexican story? I probably missed it or didn't view the right video yet. Maybe you can explain some more? For now; get well soon, stay safe and all the best! Job
Wow dude, glad you walked away from that accident... Don't stress about us, your dedicated viewers, we will be happy whenever you get any video out! Convenient that CNC plasma cutter arriving then, nice toy, I wonder what it's capacity is. The truck will look good as a tray. Woody?? Look after yourself.
Peter I have heard you mention something about Mexico several times, is it something you could share with us? Is it something that has to do with Machining?
Not a problem. My wife and I are building a small Hotel in the city of Guanajuato in the state of Guanajuato Mexico. The photos on the big screen TV in my videos are of the construction in progress. Look at the beginning of this video for example. It shows a portion of the building and two of the guys working on a stairway.
Dainius Ivaska there is a city of Guanajuato that’s in the state of Guanajuato. The state is pretty good size. The things you heard about are out in the country far away from the city of Guanajuato where we are. But thanks!
Hope your doing well, watch that arm, sometimes you have to take time off to be repaired and heal. I think you've said there isn't much support on the machine, are you finding it harder to find parts for it.Is there a aftermarket for that, dont know how many of those were made. Neat project on your truck, albeit a unfortunate circumstance. Would like to see a tutorial on your plasma,I'm looking to purchase one.stay well.
Sorry to hear about your accident. You really should get the surgery sooner rather than later if you can afford it as it will be a permanent disability. You only get one right arm and they don't grow back. Your Chiller will have a cooling circuit for the live spindle and the main spindle motors. It would be good to see the chilling oil being changed once it gets contaminated/oxidizes it really looses it's effectiveness. It may be oil but it really should be changed and flushed every 12~24 months depending on the duty cycle. Hydraulic oil should be replaced as well but it is no where near as critical to the down stream components. Well that's my experience with Okuma that uses a similar system on their spindle motors. Those chillers are usally an external buy in for the machine tool makers so it probably only has a single alarm output that covers everything. BTW those fan motors can be sourced so you could rebuild the old fan unit if you wanted to. Cheers
This fan was very reasonable in price. The two day shipping costs almost as much as the fan. For the muscle injury there is sort of a time limit to doing the surgery. After that it can’t really be done. So I elected not to have it. There are football quarterbacks that have had the same injury and haven’t had the surgery. And their lively hood depends on their arm. I think it will be OK.
I’m dying “DONT GET ALL EXCITED YOU SAFETY PEOPLE” I love it
These videos are wholesome and informative. It's no surprise people want to give you encouragement.

I'm back at it! I enjoyed the trip to the home shop. It sounded like you were on a motorcycle.

Good to see you back. Take it easy and don't bee lifting those anvils 'till you heal. Would love to see a video on your new plasma cutter and related software when you can spare the time.

Always love seeing the inner workings of those machines, thanks for sharing!
Subject matter expert in 3D modeling and CNC machining, does electric work with nothing but heat shrink and zip ties. I love it! Glad you're back and recovering.
Welcome back 👍 good to see you, wondered where you’d been . Hope your recovery is quick. It could have been worse!

Being without a truck is a handicap I can’t tolerate. I’m glad you’re ok.

Hope the recovery isn't too long and the injuries are too disruptive. Great to see you back.
Wishing you a speedy recovery from across the pond. Rochford UK
good job on the chiller repair! Im a cnc repair tech and we have 19 mazaks at our shop! 15 HCN 6000's and 4 FH6000's.
muy bien..da gusto ver tanto conocimiento compartido..muchas gracias por tu tiempo y mucha salud
Glad you're doing alright. These maintenance videos are pretty cool every now and then- like a look behind the curtain.

I'm sorry to hear about the accident and your arm. I would hate not being 100%. You are our hero Peter. Keep doing the great stuff you've been doing
No worries mate! Take it easy, God bless, & have a nice day!
Sorry to hear this Peter...get better..your one of the best on UA-cam...I am learning something in every video...thanks!!!!
Sorry to hear about the accident.
Thank goodness you're OK.
Sending you best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Glad you weren't hurt bad in that wreck! Lucky the frame didn't wind up twisted from that lick it took. Hope you heal up nice and quick.

The flatbed build looks great, I'm sure many people would be happy to see more of it and your plasma cutting for it.
I have in mind a video on just that. Thanks!
I noticed on one of your other videos on setting tools, the Mazak has several tool numbers that looked different but have the same tool number. That might be an interesting video explaining what's going on there. It's nice to see a Top Machinist in action, keep up the good work.
Stay safe Peter, none of us are getting younger. Sincere thank you for managing this video even with all that’s going on. Keep going buddy 🤙🤙
Good to hang out with you again, sir!
Good luck with your recovery.

Running that plasma table must be such a cakewalk for you after programming the Mazak etc.
I'm glad you're better , it was good to see an update . Nice to see some maintenance action too :D .
That was an unfortunate accident , perhaps you should have done the surgery , but 12 weeks off is no joke .... Just don't overexert yourself .

Hi Peter, Realy sorry to hear about your injury, hope that you come back to full strenght, I am glad to live in a country with free healthcare for everyone.
Wish you well man, be careful and get better. Dont pick up heavy stuff
Good evening Peter. I am glad to see that you are okay. I was starting to wonder where you been. I hope that you heal quickly. I see that the pictures on your monitors have changed. It appears that you have also been working South of the Border. Glad to have you back and thank you for another awesome video.
Always a treat watching your videos Peter. Take care of yourself, that bruise looked nasty.
Really sorry to hear that, man. Wishing the best for you and your family.
Glad to see back on line! Sorry about your accident!
Glad you are ok. I had the same situation. My gf at the time (now wife) was the witness and the insurance would take her word. She was driving behind me. It is a sucky situation to be in. No worries man, take care of yourself FIRST! We can wait for your cool videos!
Wow, that was a nasty injury. I hope the recovery is going well and you are not over working. That replacement truck bed is going to be a lot stronger than the original; looks like you are making lemonade from that lemon. ;-)
Stay safe and i hope to have quick recovery sir.
@Right Round Wow, that could have ended bad, glad it turned out missing you!!!! Close call.
Take care of your health Peter, you only have one right arm! Nice repair of the cooler.
Oh wow bro that’s a really nasty injury hope you recover quickly but take some time out - good luck and all the best with your injury - cheers
Very sorry that you have been injured. Give yourself a chance to heal. Important thing is that the accident was not worse and your OK.
Mate take your time!! Don't feel like the anvil is big priority. Do what you need first!, we will wait!!
Love your vids...You're a top man!!!
That's terrible to hear! 😧 I really hope you a speedy recovery. It's never a bad thing to be selfish from time to time when it's your health and well being. And don't worry about us, we'll still be here.
Thanks again for the video Peter and take care of that arm and shoulder
I'm sorry about your accident and I wish you a complete recovery soon

Nice to see you after many days, get fit soon.i am waiting for your next uplode.
Thanks for taking the time... Assume its in short supply these days...
Glad to see you are OK -- don't let them over treat you - in medicine, less is most often better.
Isn’t that why they call it practicing medicine? No I know my sister is a doctor. Believe me I know.
That Tundra took the impact like a champ. Should be back up and running in no time.
Your content has always been quality over quantity - which is how it should be.

@@EdgePrecision best of luck with that Peter. Although i've heard some disconcerting things about Guanajuato in particular. Hope you stay safe!
Dainius Ivaska there is a city of Guanajuato that’s in the state of Guanajuato. The state is pretty good size. The things you heard about are out in the country far away from the city of Guanajuato where we are. But thanks!
@@EdgePrecision i can honestly say that i am happy to hear that!
Hey Peter, You are *amazing*! Sorry to hear about the Accident.
Oh man sorry to hear you got hurt I hope you're feeling better.
Get well soon. Keeper it up! Love your Videos
Glad your ok Pete still watch your videos wether you post or not
Hang in there. Tough times don't last . . . tough people do.
I'm glad to see your ok peter.
