Hi, I’m the Hog. This was definitely not an ego vod and I appreciate the criticism. I never really looked close at my hooks but now that you mention it, it seems so obvious. I caught myself whincing a couple times at my gameplay. It might be that in game I’m not focused on my hooks being bad that I miss and don’t think about it and then it happens again and again. Irl I am also an impatient individual so that might be bleeding into OW or I’m just coping. I appreciate the tips and I will for sure work on my hooks.
Is ur sensitive & dpi high, it seems like you're missing some flicks n shots, try too learn the movement pattern

Your explanation of overshooting/rushing Hooks applies really well to Brig's Whipshot as well and other similar abilities. Very helpful tips here for more than just Hog players!
Him wasting hooks right before doom blocked was driving me insane. Everytime doom blocks and you hook him out of it. He will get no value
He mentioned that hog vs doom is an easy dub but (I’m only first first round in) I don’t see him even hooking him most of the time

these are the kind of tanks i would absolutely risk my good positioning for to pocket as a support bc theyre so fun to follow around (this is why im low elo LMAO). i hope they climb, this was definitely fun to watch and i almost never find doom players fun to watch
Kiriko can be really good for pocketing a tank without sacrificing good positioning much!
@@karamei im def practicing her a lot more but i cant tell u how many times i have swift stepped to a teammate and they have used their movement ability to immediately leave me there with the entire enemy team staring at me (im looking at u reaper)
@@catdaddie Oh yeah, that happens and it's frustrating. You generally just gotta use swiftstep selfishly. If a teammate who has a way out is in danger in a position you'd need to swiftstep to assist with, that's on them, not you.
I can't wait for the live spectating! It'll be so helpful for the person being spectated and I think other players would also learn from it

I also wanna mention this, someone in chat at the beginning said “he tried to heal while under the affects of Ana’s nade.”
I’ve heard Cyx (top 500 hog 1 trick) say, he does it for 2 reasons.
1: he still gets the damage reduction just not the heals.
2: he wants the heal affects to start the moment the nade is off so there’s no delay at all between the 2.

As a doom main , the hog hacker and hinder is top tier fml .
My guy was struggling with his hooks then became a sigma playing doom that was nice

As a hog main, the only thing I can say that would def help him win the game was to not play payload princess in second point. If you take the stairs and claim highground you will be soooo oppressive on second point, the cart will never stop.
But instead, he remained on top of the cart and let the enemy team roll his team multiple times from all directions.
Diamond 1 is so miserable, it is so flip flop with the players you get

Skill issue, hook can be avoided same with hinder and hack can be interrupted if your fast enough, everything has a solution you just gotta think
