Back in OW1 I ran into a cheater who was playing on DPS but i guess had programmed other bots to be with him. He had a rein, lucio, and mercy attached to him permanently. Lucio always speed, mercy blue beam, rein shielding. Was funny as hell to watch back
Everyone on the bot team with the exception of InkyCrane was named after some type of fantasy creature. Lich, Wizard, Satyr, Ghost. For this reason I presume that InkyCrane is the head.
it's either Inky or ghost. they died together a lot and the moment they died, the rest stopped moving. the repeated left-clicking at the beginning matches better to mercy trying to select a different teammate than any kind of shooting you'd do with that team. could very easily be both and they just swapped between the two.
I'll never forget the first time I seen someone multi-box in WoW. Dude was controlling like half a dozen frost mages in a battleground. Basicly 1 shotting other players. They stayed stacked up like it was one player, but you'd know as soon as he moved or cast spells on moving targets.
The second cheater was very interesting. It looks like it's a team of 5 bots with synced input that the cheater can switch between. At 6:36 you can see all of them using their primary fire at a wall before quickly switching to secondary fire. Looks like the cheater was on Mercy trying to switch between heal and dmg boost maybe. Then at 8:05 the cheater uses 'E' which makes Tracer recall for no reason, Sym places a random TP, Sig shoots rock at cart, Mercy does nothing cus there's nothing to rez, and Moira shoots a well aimed orb. At 8:09, Moira gets hit by an Orisa spear so she immediately hits 'Shift' to fade, Mercy does a short GA, Sym throws a turret at the wall, Tracer blinks forward, and Sig uses eat. 8:14 Moira dies and cheater can't enter inputs so all the bots stop moving.
I think the Moira might have been the leader of the 2nd game, since they stopped immediately after she died first fight, but then every fight after they stopped moving roughly when the death-cam turns into the kill-cam, since they could no longer see their surroundings in real time
I watched a push game with a team of bots, the other team won easily and got multiple team kills. It wasn't a "perfect run" though, one bot stalled the point for a while and had to be killed there.
Real talk: This could be a good gamemode idea. Two players each controlling a team, either akin to an RTS or like GW2's Solo Ops, swapping between the heroes on the fly with bot AI filling in for the ones the player isn't controlling.
OH MY GOD YOU'RE RIGHT I unironically always loved solo ops/getting a birds eye view and just being able to command people, aka boss mode. That would be a cool as hell gamemode, and for all i know, it's easily possible in workshop given enough time and effort.
I think one time someone made that a mode in overwatch 1, except all of the extras were one character. It was wild Granted birds eye would make it better

The one where they all move together is called multiboxing, and is somewhat common in MMOs. In WoW it used to be a way for more dedicated players to farm gold for bnet balance. Was also used to blow up people in uncoordinated world-pvp. Ive been away from the game, but Wow nerfed the way people did it and also nerfed the economic factors that incentivized it, so I doubt its much of a thing any more outside of rich kids spending daddies money to screw around. Edit: flats was calling them bots, they aren't bots. There's no scripting in this type of thing. The person who is controlling them is mirroring the controls across all the characters. Thats why they all move left/right forward and jump at the same time. Its why they "corral" them using the corner.
I mean I respect the fact that they aren’t harming any other players while deranking, it always sucks to have someone who’s intentionally throwing ruin the game for the other 4 players on the team
Reminds me of an old workshop mode game I played where you play 5x of one character. Played some good 1v 6 matches on it but it was a a tad unstable; especially if you had multiple Dva bombs or Hamster mines going off.
I encountered an enemy team like this in Silver and thought a teammate somehow had control of the enemy team. I didn't realize it was the enemy purposely de-ranking accounts.
as an ex-bronze player, i used to run into these kinds of bots all the time near the end of ow1. on one hand, it was literal freelo, but on the other hand it was sooooo annoying and disappointing. wait 5 minutes in a queue just to not actually play the game basically lol. and disappointing because you know some random is gonna buy one of those accounts if they're selling and end up in bronze and trolling people's games / absolutely rocking their shit.
I couldn't imagine being bronze. I remember when I first started playing when the game came out I placed silver. It didn't take long to climb out and get to plat. It was the plat to diamond grind that took me a long time (years). That was on console mind you. Now, I've recently become a fully fledged PC gamer who never used a mouse for aiming in a game in his life. I'm still not used to keyboard controls so I'm holding my Xbox elite controller in my left hand for movement/two abilities, and the rest of my kit is on my mouse. It works very well but my friends make fun of me for it lol. Anyway, the point is I placed gold 1 DPS, plat 5 tank, and plat 1 support which is basically equal to my console ranks except I'm Masters 1 support on console. I expect to get there again when I get used to and improve my mouse aim. What does this have to do with anything you said? Idk. I just thought about what it would be like to be bronze and my brain had to protect me from the trauma by forcing me to type out a stream of consciousness comment that serves no purpose other than being my glorified diary entry. I think I'm having a mental breakdown because I can't stop typing now. Perhaps someone will find this rambling interesting... Perhaps others will think I'm going to lead to a joke or some snappy ending zinger that made reading all of this worth it... Sorry to say, but that's not the case. My theory is that its a chain. It goes sigma>tracer>moira>sym>mercy (Not sure abt the order of the last 2) Thats why when the moira dies it instantly turns off mercy and symm, bc the chain is broken while she respawns

They pretty much ignored the payload and walked past it and directly attacked my team. Of course they were mopped down time after time, but we were left confused like what was even going on. Soon enough we realised they were like 4 bots and 1 real player against us. Their tank was only one who even wrote something and it was "report my Ana". That was weirdest comp match I've had in awhile, and leaves me wondering why would anyone do this shit. They weren't even watching their K D:s.

2nd game used to be a very common sight in tf2. 1 guy controlling 6 bots. Usually snipers, or duos of vaccinator medics with a sniper or heavy, just being egregious and following the controller around.
The reason the throwers are going to a secluded spot is so that the games will go by faster., with the new placement system it takes even longer to de-rank, even in a stack.

I recently had a game that was really similar to the second one at 6:13 Instead of all moving together tho, they would move a little more independently rather then going up against walls to group together better. We were playing on My original theory was someone attempting to maybe train an ai that was in the early stages. But, seeing this again with what I'm pretty sure are different accounts from when I saw them the first time a few weeks ago is super weird. Other thing I noticed, is that all the accounts have usernames that are two words put together. Lemonsatyr, Goldlich, etc.... When I saw this, I remember the usernames did the same thing. Edit: after rewatching the video, I'm pretty sure these are the same accounts. From what I remember, the team comp was the same. And I'm also pretty sure the usernames are also the exact same.
I think I get it with the collective. It looks like the characters were simultaneously receiving the same key input from a single user. So that's why the Moira was healing nothing as the other characters shot, and how the Mercy could res as well as the attempts to use different doors and clump up. I can't even imagine what the user's view looked like.

My original theory was someone attempting to maybe train an ai that was in the early stages. But, seeing this again with what I'm pretty sure are different accounts from when I saw them the first time a few weeks ago is super weird.
Other thing I noticed, is that all the accounts have usernames that are two words put together. Lemonsatyr, Goldlich, etc.... When I saw this, I remember the usernames did the same thing.
Edit: after rewatching the video, I'm pretty sure these are the same accounts. From what I remember, the team comp was the same. And I'm also pretty sure the usernames are also the exact same.

I think I get it with the collective. It looks like the characters were simultaneously receiving the same key input from a single user. So that's why the Moira was healing nothing as the other characters shot, and how the Mercy could res as well as the attempts to use different doors and clump up. I can't even imagine what the user's view looked like.
