Does anyone else find it incredibly annoying that position changes come before training boosts?
Yes, very. I like to make my changes based on the upgrades. I can’t tell who’s the starter till I see the upgrades.

I don’t agree that de emphasizing ratings is the move. Editing ratings shouldn’t even be talked about. More power to ya if you edit ratings, but it’s not a normal mechanism of the game. Editing ratings just makes everything else irrelevant

The point here was, abilities are so important in development. I made another video going over this too, players use skill points to upgrade their abilities. So starting with better abilities means for points used for their overall.

Just a quick tip to unlock abilities on players. During the position change period, you can change a player's position then change it back to their original position and as long as they meet the ratings required for the ability it will unlock it for the player.
The issue here is they may lose other abilities if their archetype changes. So be very careful when touching a good player, use this mainly on lower overall players or guys without abilities.

What are the best abilities per positions? Never looked into abilities . I thought road dog is what let a qb do audibles but it’s headstrong I see. Any videos on that?
I’ve noticed two things. If you change their ratings players seem to abilities faster because they spend skill points towards that. Also there’s a HUGE BUG! I figured out if you look at player ratings during the “skill position change” part of the off season the game will glitch out and delete that player from your roster for good. Has happened to me twice.
That's weird. I've done that several times and not lost anyone. But this was pre this patch

That has happened to me as well. I moved one of the guys from 87 speed to 94 speed and it blacked his face out and took all his ratings to “1” 😂

it could be that your roster had too many players and they moved them it happend to me
I was one of the people who commented in the last video about this and everyone jumped on me in the comments when all I was tryna say is ok cool we can change ratings but that’s WEAK I understand every game has it and you can do it blah blah blah but why not just give us more coach points/levels to get all the good things in our coach tree to get the best recruits and develop our recruits to the full extent of they abilities and in 2014 we could respec coach points and repsec our assistants tooo and that was 10 years ago!!! At minimum bring that back!!! Dang!!! 😡

You can unlock physical abilities by cheesing certain skill ratings. But yeah the mentals you cant

Correct, however focusing on abilities first when recruiting is super important.
Wr takeout ability is so op 💯💯 so clutch on the wr they fly past Db no problem I found 2 WR with 98 and 99 speed with takeout them 4 years was so much fun I threw for 85 touchdown 1 single heisman mode
It's all random. Nothing matters in recruiting. I tested this. When the game first came out, i recruited 100% and never simmed. I restarted a dynasty and only recruited or went to the portal a couple of times, then simmed the recruiting every week afterwards. The first way, i got all 3 stars. The second way, i got all 4 and 5 stars. For some reason the game erases your points on a lot of players. Recruiting sucks on thia game.
