Love the vids. Just want to mention that against a triple option vet, the last thing you want to give up is the FB dive. A smart player will put a good RB at FB & punish the defense. You want someone to forget about the FB dive. Makes your job easier.
That's real football bro. In this you're better off making them live with 3 yard runs and potentially getting stuffed rather than giving up runs outside where your defenders take the worst pursuit angles ever.
@@BigfoxN-A-chiccenhouse nah bc one flukey shed ends that plus like civ shows here you can swoop in to shut down the fb dive. I agree with what you say conceptually in football but not on this game.
One thing I'd like to see you go over, I played in a tournament and got torched by someone running Michigan Orji to the wide side of the field, and spamming levels divide or a bunch of in routes. I typically run cover 4 match defenses and kept getting torched by the QB if I close the routes off usering MLB, or the ball thrown behind me if I attack the rollout. I tried adjusting by hot routing a spy, and QB containing but I couldn't do it. I know its kinda a weird way to play but I can't imagine its uncommon. TLDR: I'd love to see a defensive minded video covering an opponent who spams rollouts with a mobile QB and in breaking routes for early and late action. Man, Zone, Match, blitz, adjustments, user preferences etc. Love the videos man, you've helped me take my game up several levels.
Bro your cover shell video just helped me get a pick six rage quit. I still don't fully understand it so I'll have to watch again. But I play a lot of cover 3 and didnt know a good player will instantly know that.
Thanks for all your help! I understand everything in theory but when I try to implement it in game I find opponents to sometimes be just too hard to predict. Would love a deep dive into situational play calling and how you string together defensive plays and identify commonalities. I would love a deep dive into dynasty when it comes to meta player archetypes and things like weight and height and what to look for and value, as well, maybe how to structure your depth chart and read between the lines, but I know you’re a gameplay guy so maybe that’s too big of a wish. appreciate you brother!
Good info. Always helps to see simple reminder videos. The only criticism I have is in regard to using a safety to defend the jet passes or outside runs. I don’t believe you ever referenced that a savvy player seeing you user a safety will go to a play action or go with one of the trick pass plays that will have you completely out of position. Something to be prepared for… otherwise, great content.
as an Army player, I'd say manning up the halfback is gonna do a lot. if I had to defend the Rocket Toss and didn't feel like blitzing, I'd call something like a Cover 2 Flat, shade the coverage down, play press, and set one of your linebackers as man coverage on the back. after that, it's just guessing which direction if both backs are good enough to be handed the ball.
These are your best vids i get more out of these then even the paid stuff on civil gg and dont get me wrong the paid stuff is great but these just hit different ..thanks for these man
2:20 if your opponent IDs you as the Mike, wouldn’t that cause the guard to pick you up as their assignment. Would make it harder to just break free for an easy backfield tackle.
This better have wide stack and flexbone/Maryland mainly Maryland becuz those are so annoying hard to stop the run when u have to worry about the stemmed down corner route
@civil need help against a buddy. He runs a wide bunch. And if you don’t run man he does rpo cheese. (Flats won’t guard it because you don’t have the numbers), so then he does motion routes when in man. Any advice
I have to be honest - these videos don't help at all. It's not because the info isn't valuable, it's because my blockers do not block like anyone else's. My defensive line does not shred like anyone else's. It's very blatantly obvious that people know things I don't. I could be the best user on earth but it won't matter when my AI blocks and plays are lower levels than my competition and I am quite literally devoid of any control of that.
Friendly note, if you’re not calling out the mic on run plays offensively that’s part of why you’re getting inferior blocking. By calling that out pre-snap, it tells your lineman where to focus their blocking.

@@matts.441 I’m giving FB 10+ carries off top. Let him avg. 4 yds it goes to 15. In this game. Now you’ll pinch your line. Now it’s over.
I shut down everything inside against a triple option last night. If you are aligned right in the box the fb ain’t doing shit
@@doctrdeez1001 that’s the best way to stop it. Force it outside & hope the user doesn’t know the qb can actually run.

As a user though, if I see you usering the safety to take away my run game I’m gonna hit that play-action over where you just pulled that safety from.

Civil..I must admit..you do a freaking awesome job of explaining everything very well. 👏
I can’t seem to stop the play inside crosses out of empty quads hb. If I press Y and down like suggested he hits me on the streak for an easy TD

your videos this year have been awesome
Please tell us how to stop the QB rollout flood zone. The 2 man game is impossible vs UM, Bama, or Ohio State

Would have loved to hear your thoughts on stopping Rocket Toss out of Flexbone. When I play Flexbone players that’s the hardest thing to stop for me

Was hoping to see speed outs in here. How do I stop those? Cover 3 shaded underneath?
Yes we needed this

I'm surprised you didn't include rpos in this lol. I have found that 0 cover man defense does pretty well against the pass of the rpo.
Yeah those can be annoying. Man works but its inconsistent. I just stack the box to stop the run and user the pass option myself.

Make us a vid on how to beat the most annoying defense spammers
I need a video how to stop wide stack inside zone
The meta runs are power outta the eye

try coach adjusting your hard flats to 0 or usering a cb to take away the rpo bubble
Damn this is a good one
This whole video was money bro!
