I imagine if it's a normal golf cart he just trimmed the motor. One of my friends did that to theirs. It was a very old golf cart but he trimmed the motor to make it run faster. I'm probably completely wrong though too. :D
The GTR is a different animal. It's all round performance is incredible. Snow and off road it can handle no prob, not many performance cars can say that. You can get slightly better track times with the porsche equivalent but you feel you're risking life to get those times, whereas the gtr is stable as hell.

This comes from being over 300 kg heavier, having a much better differential for 4WD and having over 100Nm more torque. The porsche is much lighter at the front end but if the tyres leave the track just a little, you know about it. Staying alive in the Nissan is much easier when achieving similar track times, simple
