Dont blame Katherine Heigl's career downfall on Misogyny.
She had a history of biting every hand that ever fed her dating back to the Film that actually made her a box office Star in the first place with her bad comments about Knocked Up.
Alot of people get their careers sabotaged but Katherine did it to herself and thats why shes been relegated to TV now because shes proven to be a Box office Poison and someone who likes to consider themselves bigger than the projects their attached to.
Yeah... she doesn't carry herself well. I remember her Emmy award speech in particular because the immediate reaction I had was "Did she just insult everyone?" (especially writers of her show), it was very jarring. At first I just thought that it was a poorly thought out speech, which is not uncommon. Then years later rumors of her being difficult really hit. Now that speech made so much more sense. lol

Well said! She does not strike me as being the least humble or grateful. If she were a CEO, that might be an advantage. But in the acting scene, she does need to play nice with others. Otherwise, people will blackball you. Not because you're an “outspoken woman” but because you're a bad coworker.
@@biocapsule7311 What exactly are you talking about? I looked up her emmy award speech and only found one for grey's anatomy in 2007 where she didn't seem to insult anyone
@@wiiztec Oh yeah... it isn't the Emmy award speech, it was the Emmy nomination withdraw reasons she give, the year after. *My bad (all I can recall now is it's an Emmy thing, so I assume the award).* If I recall correctly, it amounts to 'she "did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant" a nod. So she basically insulted the writers first and foremost. The people who also got nominated that years and the people who didn't get nominated as well. That's near about the time people start hearing there's a lot of difficulty on set, and the writers for 'Grey's' really didn't like her. It was later over shadowed by what happened with TR Knight.
Not gonna lie Christian Slater in Mr Robot & Archer felt more like Upgrades too me.
Can't really consider TV a downgrade now. Shows like Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones have shown TV can be bigger than movies.
Winona Ryder goes much harder as Joyce Byers than as Veronica Sawyer.
So I seen that Mr Fatman and Mr eggman are in the comments spamming again. Also Dr greenthumb is them because they all make immature comments just like them.
As far as movies, I can imagine Reese Witherspoon will be reprising her role as Rosita in the upcoming Sing 3 movie.
I would call Bob Hope's movie career fame short lived. Do you know how long the 1930s to the 1970s is? And how many movies he made in the forty something years? A lot of movies. Maybe check the IMDB before you call a career "short lived".

@@jimbo9208 saying banished to TV is a pretty negative connotation. I get it, before it kinda was...since before TV stars tried transitioning into movies, not vice versa...and if someone who was big in movies suddenly did TV, they were looked upon washed up...but that changed by the the late 2000's
Yeah. Determining how they had the title set up (with "BANISHED" in all caps, especially), I thought it was gonna be 10 actors movie producers/directors didn't want to deal with due to behind-the-scenes drama with the actors and thus they "banished" them to TV.
Disagree. Cuba as OJ was the worst Part of the show because his high pitched voice doesn't match With OJ's at all.
It still holds true. As great as television has become it'll still never have the impact of film. Compare any great film to any great TV show and it's leaps and bounds.
Barbara Stanwyck is an absolute legend! If you haven't seen Double Indemnity or Ball Of Fire, I definitely recommend them. Fantastic performances from her.

One point on Heigl: She had every right to say what she did about *_Grey's Anatomy_* . That show has long outlived it's relevance and freshness.
Maybe…. But she kept biting the hands that fed her. Not likable.

I’m going to add another actor to the list - Brendan Fraser…after Hollywood “blacklisted” him, he dropped out of sight and in 2018, he made a comeback with an episode of the show Titans as the voice of Cliff Steele (Robotman), a role he then reprised on the 2019 series Doom Patrol in addition to playing Cliff when he was human

@@jimbo9208 The title reinforces the old school mentality that television actors are less relevant than film actors. Whether an actor works mainly on either television or film should not be factor in judging the quality of their work.
Katherine Heighl has a history of being VERY difficult to work with, she constantly trashes the projects she has taken part of

Exactly and stranger things as a whole doesn't touch the first 10 mins of that film. Although she is good in the first season.

Shame she badmouthed shows she wan on. Grey's Anatomy was one for years.Ellen got old in it. Reese was always super popular. Nice she makes good shows. Don't touch G. He rocks😀Elizabeth Taylor is absolute legend! Of course her roles were few as the years progressed. But she was fantastic. She was Fred's mother-in law😂Winona ruined herself with shoplifting. NGL, but Barbara Stanwick in The Colby’s was pretty horrible, but it was impossible to work with that script. No wonder it was cancelled. Poor thing couldn’t catch a break by the end.
Seeing Sandra on play the older sister in "quiz show lady" was so weird bc she's supposed to barely be older but irl she's got like 20 years on akwafina. And my mom has been married more times than Elizabeth Taylor...so....eat THAT 😅
Chris O'donnel got a razzy for Three Musketeers? I love the Disney version of that story and never thought he was that bad in the movie.

So Heigl is impossible to work with (proven by COUNTLESS PEOPLE SAYING SO) yet because all men are supposedly mysogynists, that makes Heigl an amazing actor again......RIGHT! So even though many, many people (including women) say shes impossible, i guess thats just discounted due to some on those being men.

Hello , Lucille Ball .James Spader . Vincent D'Nofreo . Robert Patrick . Jeff Goldblum . Keifer Sutherland . Martin Sheen . Charlie Sheen . Television is NOT the poor cousin of Cinema anymore . A good Television Actor can earn Millions per Episode and a successful show can run for Years .The Actors that I mentioned made far more Money from Television than they made from Movies and they ALL started as Movie Actors .I would have put Lucille Ball at Number 1 . Who didn't watch I Love Lucy ?? She got higher ratings than Apollo 11 . Well almost anyway .
Here's food for thought: Lucille Ball went from movies to TV. Most of you would not know that Lucille Ball got her start as a chorus girl for MGM. The fact that this is not commonly known reflects that it's not the role that defines the actor, but the actor that defines the role. Television is a downgrade only if you believe it is, and for Ball, it was a full upgrade.
Or that it's been 75 years and people just don't know that obscure piece of trivia
And without her, Star Trek would have NEVER existed.

I'd say tv shows r'n have way more interesting parts.
For those who haven’t noticed, it’s 2023, tv series are more popular than movies so this isn’t a bad thing.
Popularity doesn't always mean better caliber. The saying still stands: once you go to tv, you don't go back to film.
