In this folk-horror tale/dark fable, set in 1875, a slow-witted man meets the Devil in the woods and tries to bargain for his life. Link to IMDb Page: www.imdb.com/t...
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was making people think he didn’t exist but the greatest trick People ever pulled him was making him think we where stupid
One thing I am puzzled by: Wasn't one of his wishes that he 'not be abnormal anymore'? Yet at the end, he doesn't seem to be an 'everyday' man. Or is he? He had some smarts all along, I must say....like a Wizard of Oz wishing-for-what-they-always-had. Good work on this, the casting is great....the film locale is perfect. The story is chilling & truly 'dark fable like'.
Thank you so much for watching! So SPOILERS!!!!!!! for anyone reading after this... But to answer your question he had 3 wishes. The fist wish was used to think of something clever. The second wish was protecting himself from the Devil. For the third, he spoke about wanting to be 'normal' in the eyes of others but he never actually made the wish because he was interrupted by the sound of crickets. That's when he ran and saw Miss Josephine lying dead. He actually chose to use his final wish to bring her back to life. My ideas behind this was that he wanted to be a man from the beginning and in making this third wish he actually sacrificed for someone else, thus leaving his boyhood behind after that point. So he did not get that particular wish of being an 'everyday man' as you put it. But he did gain something else. Hope that clarifies.
@@FairytalesforLostGirlz Ooh yes you are right! I missed that 'slip of the tongue' that he did during the first wish. Very clever! :) I actually thought he gained maturity, wonderful maturity, yet realized it was also okay to stay as he was...in a sense we all carry our childhood with us forever....& he has now found a balance....& some peace. Good work on this!
What a huge cast and crew. The only position I hate seeing is a 'Covid Compliance Officer'. Geez Cali, stop trying to shut down small businesses and small productions.
This was an AWESOME story! Loved it!

That Defiler mask from immortal! 🤌

nice work Katherine!
Great job - very well done
That's not who I think of when Ithink of Thomas Seymour... but great work regardless!
What was the clever thought he had?
That he wouldn't be put into the jar or killed by the devil once he was released...
Yes, like tash17kids said, it is that the devil would not be able to hurt him or take revenge for putting him in the jar.
Got it, don't need 50 people saying the same thing. Thanks, I just missed that part.
A true folk horror.
🙏
ok.....
Cute

Geez. Stop trying to kill humans with your ignorant, puritanical, anti-science drivel.
