I use the "iVMS-4200 3.2.0.10 Client" software and watch live video on my laptop just like on mobile. By mistake i clicked on the "Stop live view" icon at the bottom right of the lap. Now it is empty. What to do to watch the video

Hello. Is this a standalone setup? Meaning from dvr/nvr directly connected to the pc?
Sure, you can connect directly to pc using a network cable. Be sure to put static ip for PC and NVR/
DVR.

You can also install the software in your pc and add the device and view.
If you need to use user management system , I mean some restrictions for some user, you can do it in inside NvR or DVR, then while adding the device to their pc application, use the user name and password created for them.

May be you added the device using Local IP Address. Please confirm you added the device by using serial number.

@@GigiDAmico it's the old version of hikvision, the company has stopped the ip address, it can be watched only on the local network. you need to purchase it again, to get a static ip.

Can this software transmit the camera feed if the vcr is connected via ethernet cable & being used through IE11.

@@amtecho in my setup the desktop monitor has only a VGA port, no HDMI port, so in order to run both vcr & the desktop, I connected the VCR through ethernet cable & seeing the live feed & pkaybacks through internet explorer 11(since other browsers don't support the plugins). In this senario can IVMS-4200 software be used for camera feeds.

Sure, you can use IVMS 4200. It is a stable better idea for view.
Complete all the instructions but it says that camera is offline and in the device manager, the DVR is tagged as offline in the resource usage status. Pls help.
Please make sure that the DVR have a proper IP and it should be able to ping from the PC which the application you installed.

@@amtecho we have 6 branches in different cities and all branches have different folders. when I restart my Laptop, ivms4200 merges all 6 branches in one folder.
How you added those branches..?? Through p2p.??
