Here’s our POV of the Mario Kart Attraction with AR Glasses on! ua-cam.com/video/jZxr3jYY1R0/v-deo.html It’s a very different experience compared to not having AR Glasses!
Everyone's wanting a roller coaster, but what about something that actually gives a full mario kart experience? A hybrid trackless dark ride/indoor go kart track, designed to simulate an IRL game of Mario Kart?
Everybody keep in mind that while all this is going on, the AR goggles have you actually shoot shells, make turns, and actually have you play a game while on the ride. It's very hard to capture on video, but it makes for a really fun ride experience!
Less than five minutes in as an "I know of Mario and co. having watched gameplay videos while not playing them myself" person and this queue line theming alone makes me want to buy into Mario Party. Well done, Universal!
Is it just me or does the dark ride aspect just seem very underwhelming, I'm pretty sure I saw a lot more detailed course for the ride in the concept art like that one bit for a kart jump and everything... while this just felt more like Midway Mania with augmented reality and digital mapping.
Yeah i feel the exact same way. I dont like how they did this. I miss the old school rides instead of this new tech.. It was very disappointing they could have done so much more. But they do have good aesthetic and it's a lot better then disney would have done. They really made you feel like you were in mario. The long walk getting into the ride was nice seeing how creative they were. Thats the only good thing i can say about this ride.
@@will4486 That’s what the original schematics for the ride had shown, a high speed roller coaster built with augmented reality and technological advancements that made it feel like you were actually drifting across rainbow road, this, the one we got, this is just sad compared to it.
okay, so it kinda looks like you do a little, but I would have made this ride with a combination style of The Buzz Lightyear and Men In Black Ride. I would have kept the side-by-side track so you act feel like you're racing a Kart on the other side and would have limited it to a 2 person car like Mario Kart Double Dash. You could run over box icons on the ground that gives you weapon choices to choose from in your Kart, and you can hit the other cars, making them spin out. Like put a sensor on them to impede their progress, like how they have that 1 moment in the Men In Black ride where it thinks the other car is the enemy in disguise and you have to hit it, and along the way, I would give them iconic stuff to shoot at to earn more points/coins, and at the end have a big Bowser head as they did with the roach that you have to "destroy" for max points.
3:39 Eyyy that music’s from the 2023 Mario Movie! Also, wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a meet & greet with Bowser outside this ride, so you could be “recruited” into his army? Like Megatron with the Transformers ride. Heck, I’d gladly bend the knee and pledge my allegiance!
I think it's one of those things where they just have a ton of money and get lucky because they get a bunch of brilliant ideas out of nowhere then mess up the execution like let's just put flashy things everywhere splash mountain is probably the greatest theme park ride of all time, entertaining things, suspense and thrill
You really need the glasses to get the full experience. Sure to many people it seems like a slow kids ride, but its surprisingly well made, and while its going, it seems faster than in this video. Not worth the wait rn tho.
There's really a lot more chaos happening within the AR goggles then what's outside viewing the ride itself. Gotta hand it to them with how unique the interactions are upon each kart that runs through. I quite enjoyed it the first time I went.
I can't wait to go on the Mario Kart ride! I like the way you recorded your POV of the ride! I'm definitely planning to record my video of the ride too with my iPhone 14 Pro Max!!
I thought it would go a bit faster. When I rode it I was expecting a thrill ride. Not Toy Story mania mixed with Winnie the Pooh and themed like Mario cart . It was a bit disappointing because universal is known for thrill rides .
One thing I miss about living in Southern California is being able to take the light rail train to enjoy this park. Sadly, I moved before this was done and I couldn’t really afford the park admission nowadays.
Awesome!! There was some interaction from the Dino's. I liked that to where got close enough for that one could have easily snap at the riders. The pterodactyl flight with the coaster car was HUGE, OVER THE TOP, CRAZY ride over the dinosaurs. That ending was totally epic right there inches from a possible snap. I was smiling! Never gave such praise for any ride but the pterodactyl looking down was freaking the best part!! Loved everything about this thrill ride!!
After riding it I would say it was pretty disappointing. More than 50% of guests aren’t going to understand how to play properly especially young and older crowds. They could have done so much better what a let down universal. 😢 sad when transformers ride is more thrilling than Mario kart!
You would think a Mario Kart ride would give you some actual speed to experience, like Disney Epcot Test Track. This moves so incredibly slow, like it's only meant as ride for young children. How sad...
I liked the video but not sure I want to watch it yet. Just like Rise, I want to be surprised. But question if you know the answer. Are the Mario Kart rides all different themed? This one is Bowser and not sure what Japan's is. Will Epics be also different theme?
The ride experience is exactly the same, but the wait line queues are different. Japan's seems much larger than this in space, and rumors are saying that Epic Universe's Super Nintendo World in Florida would be slighly more bigger than Japan
Lots of ride queues in SoCal are like that, because it doesn’t rain often. If you’re familiar with Disney, it’s a fundamental difference between the California parks, where lots of queues begin or are entirely outside, and the Florida parks, where queues are almost entirely indoors or under cover since it rains every day there. (For example, the entire queues and loading areas of Big Thunder and Small World are outside at Disneyland, versus inside in Florida.)
It's not Express, this ride atm is the one ride Express doesn't cover. People who get the VIP experience package (which is around 300-400 depending on season) get to go there. It might also be used for single rider access
The theming looks awesome, but the ride itself looks slightly disappointing. The line que seems longer then the ride itself. I hope they do something better at Universal Florida. Controlled Spin Coaster - Racing through bowser's castle would have been awesome.
I first thought when it first started this was a gonna be like a bumper car race track type race 🎯 but that would be fire if they had the race track like dat along with the googles
Here’s our POV of the Mario Kart Attraction with AR Glasses on!
ua-cam.com/video/jZxr3jYY1R0/v-deo.html
It’s a very different experience compared to not having AR Glasses!
They should’ve made Mario kart roller coaster, and save this ride type for Luigis haunted mansion
Everyone's wanting a roller coaster, but what about something that actually gives a full mario kart experience? A hybrid trackless dark ride/indoor go kart track, designed to simulate an IRL game of Mario Kart?
Tell me youve never ridden mariokart without telling me you've never ridden mariokart
Everybody keep in mind that while all this is going on, the AR goggles have you actually shoot shells, make turns, and actually have you play a game while on the ride. It's very hard to capture on video, but it makes for a really fun ride experience!

Is that good or bad?
There are very few of the rides are accessible for the mobility challenged. So thank you for doing these videos for us.
Is it just me or does the dark ride aspect just seem very underwhelming, I'm pretty sure I saw a lot more detailed course for the ride in the concept art like that one bit for a kart jump and everything... while this just felt more like Midway Mania with augmented reality and digital mapping.

Something more akin to Radiator Springs Racers at Disney would’ve been way better

@@BlazeRBXonYToof yeah that’s sad. At least epic universe will have the donkey Kong roller coaster
Seems more OVERwhelming to me! Major sensory overload!
Can’t wait to see the insight and review video 😊
The ride looks better than it actually is when you put the goggles on. I've rode on this about two or three times.
okay, so it kinda looks like you do a little, but I would have made this ride with a combination style of The Buzz Lightyear and Men In Black Ride. I'll stick to my visits to Epcot,SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure

Can you imagine how long it would take to get round to the ride if the waiting line was right back to the entrance to the ride
Wow! The video alone had my jaw dropping. I can only imagine what it's like in person.
Rode it last month and I am so sad that they made Mario Kart a slow ride
So sad they had to put a cage over the model all because people can’t keep their hands off things
Ohhh, I was wondering why it was like that when I went on sunday!
Over which model?
@@gamertwo6263 The Super Mario Kart 2D Model in Bowser’s Castle. Should be around the 5:14 mark
@@bolbi1016 where I don’t see it
You go to a place like that and you're expected to want to touch everything. Germs save lives.
Out of all the routes they could have gone with this ride, this is what they come up with.
What a long que... for... no one!
Moooooo! LOL
This would have been a great concept for Luigis mansion. They REALLY should've made a coaster for this.
They want the land kid friendly and make it fit Mushroom Kingdom.
I think it's one of those things where they just have a ton of money and get lucky because they get a bunch of brilliant ideas out of nowhere then mess up the execution like let's just put flashy things everywhere splash mountain is probably the greatest theme park ride of all time, entertaining things, suspense and thrill

At full capacity this line looks like it would be a 9 hr wait time 😳
I am so excited to ride this when I go there!!
I thought it would go a bit faster. When I rode it I was expecting a thrill ride. Not Toy Story mania mixed with Winnie the Pooh and themed like Mario cart . It was a bit disappointing because universal is known for thrill rides .
Right u better off riding transformers 3d the ride
One thing I miss about living in Southern California is being able to take the light rail train to enjoy this park. Sadly, I moved before this was done and I couldn’t really afford the park admission nowadays.
so incredible
Nice walkthrough of super Mario I know I would be geeking out it’s nice the studios made the ride a casual ride for people
Awesome!! There was some interaction from the Dino's. I liked that to where got close enough for that one could have easily snap at the riders. wOw !! what is the camera you use ?
CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE THIS!
Super footage, amazing to see from the other side of the world 💙
What?!? A ride based on a video game?!? Now that I think about it, this should have happened decades ago.
After riding it I would say it was pretty disappointing. More than 50% of guests aren’t going to understand how to play properly especially young and older crowds. They could have done so much better what a let down universal. 😢 sad when transformers ride is more thrilling than Mario kart!

Both rides are exactly the same
Both are identical, they have an AR component which determines wether bowser wins or not
The ride experience is exactly the same, but the wait line queues are different. Japan's seems much larger than this in space, and rumors are saying that Epic Universe's Super Nintendo World in Florida would be slighly more bigger than Japan

Weird, stairs and an uncovered que. What if it rains?
Lots of ride queues in SoCal are like that, because it doesn’t rain often. Some of the wait line are different from Nintendo World in Japan. I also want to go to Nintendo World in Hollywood🤩
Why did you set it to 10cc
Is this faster with the glasses on?
What’s the loading area music
A remix of the Wii menu music, which I absolutely love that they did!

Wow 😳 wow 😳 wow 😳 wow that's awesome I love that beautiful. Mario party
Too bad they could not make this a trackless ride.
The issue here is the experience should be on the same level with or without the headset.
I surprise they didn’t choose the trackless style of riding like ratatouille or mickeys escape…
they didn’t put the augmented reality visor over the camera to see all the effects in tue ride
disapppointed in this, missed opportunity to make it an actual race
Facts and universal is known for thrill rides Jurassic World ,Jurassic Park river adventure,The Mummy, just to name a few
I went to that ride with my cousins last summer.
This ride has way too many vehicles I see so many videos where the car stops because it can't go to the next scene it's so bad for the experience
Il est où le parc ?
Visibly needs more fine tuning but looks so much fun!
The glasses they give you makes it more realistic!
THIS RIDE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ain't gonna even waste my money 💵 at Universal's Epic Universe Park either
why is it so slow
Why is nobody there? Such a small line
Excellent visuals but very underwhelming ride experience, tbh...
They should have taken inspiration from Test Track at epcot.
Reliving memories but from a different point of view is weird
Its giving Men and Black with an updated element... Still down to do it and dust everyone
Looks epic
Is that freckle? 😂

It's a me, Mario. 😁
So Mario themed, but It's a Small World speed (I know that's Disney, still...). Who is the ride really for? Not for true gamers, that's for sure.
It is funny how the line is more than half of the video😂

Not a big fan. It’s more like Mario kart meets Mario party. For a Mario kart ride, I would’ve expected more of like a go kart race.

I would think a Mario Kart ride would at least have a fast portion where you are "racing".
They should've made this an immersive virtual reality ar type attraction kind of like Transformers the ride or Mission Space at Epcot
Is this what Bill Burr was talking about?
Can't wait for someone to go on this ride in Luigi cosplay, and win by doing absolutely nothing.
