- USJ Super Nintendo World Yoshi's Adventure. When I went to USJ before, I couldn't enter Super Nintendo World because of number restriction. But this time, I could enter Super Nintendo World and enjoyed there to my heart content! USJ close temporarily now because of coronavirus, but I want to go there again.

The designers made incredible use of vertical space in a relatively small area and despite what the artwork looked like, the sense of being in a massive Nintendo land is sold completely. The SECOND this hits Orlando I'm there because I can't go to Japan. Tokyo Sea looks amazing too.

They need their own park with more space so every franchise can have a land.
They pulled all of that of with just that small amount of space.

@@danielcurren2119 I agree. I can just imagine how cool the rides would be. Since zelda is a slightly more mature franchise than mario, they could have faster more intense rides.
For example, they could have a death mountain mine cart ride, with goron animatronics being hard at work in the caverns. The waiting area could be themed like goron city!
They could also obviously have Hyrule castle in the centre, where character meet and greets of zelda, link and gannondorf are.
Maybe even a water ride based of the king of red lions, or the ghost ship from wind waker?
What about a rollercoaster based off of one of the 3 dragons in botw?
And imagine if the gift shops played the shop music from ocarina of time.
So many possibilities...

Or a space-themed ride inside a starfox arwing in which you could actually shoot enemies and feel the ship shaking each time you get hit..
And if they could make a windwaker water ride that starts on clear blue sea, then make it so the sky turns to thunderstorm and we see the pirate ship (hologram) appearing, and stuff..
..that would probably be some of the best rides in the world.
As all the comments are praising, the management of space is great too, but I'm just ASTONISHED by the usage of music in this place.
The transition between themes for the overworld, peach's castle and yoshi's island, and the sfx of travelling in pipes is all so smooth and nostalgic!
How does that even work?
@@SnowinBinxers probably by laying out the speakers in a specific distance in each location... not sure tho lol
Yeah.. the speakers would be set up very specifically at certain angles and the length of each track set at specific intervals. It’s incredibly well thought out. That said I could never work here. It wouldn’t want to take the change that the music would eventually become irritating.

Imagine how perfect a Pokémon SNAP ride like this could work. You get in the Zero-One, which is on rails anyway, and it brings you through a Pokémon world, with Pokémon everywhere, and you get rewarded for taking certain pictures or depending on how many of the Pokémon you find. And at the end you can print the pictures you took and keep them.
I would imagine it would be the perfect ride for people to get back in line and do multiple times in order to get photos of all the pokemon

This is something that us fans that grew up with Mario could only dream of back then. Oh, to be a 9 year old again with something like this.

It’s so magical, and the work on the animatronics is so smooth, I’m starting to think Nintendo found real magic and uses it for this park

@@carr0302 The piranha plants move a bit too slowly imo. But I suppose it must be impossible to get them to move faster
I love how everything really feels alive with all the little touches, like the individual Pokey segments shaking or the Piranha Plants opening their mouths a little bit, they really did a good job making everything feel natural
I bet it's creepy as hell when it's closed and everyone is gone.
@@Sandman_Slim well obviously then turn everything off. It’s not like they keep the animatronics moving all night. I would also assume they have some sort of shelter to put over the whole park, that way there’s not just puddles of water left everywhere after it rains

I'll never forget that horrible day. The day my dad took us to Super Nintendo World but accidently got lost and we wound up in Atari Jaguar world 😣

I get especially nostalgic for all the N64 references. Peach's Castle looks amazing, and the music from Super Mario 64 and Yoshi's Story is super satisfying to hear. I've got to make it to this theme park before I die.

The spinning coins are adorable, they really went all out with this park huh?
Imagine if they had like a hall of mirrors incorporating the power ups so one mirror makes you look bigger and a mega mushroom power up sound plays, a mirror where the tanooki leaf sound plays and when you look in the mirror it looks like you have a raccoon suit on

They should incorporate other Nintendo worlds into this like a donkey Kong jungle section, or a luigis mansion section where you actually explore the haunted house irl. They can definitely expand upon this. It has way more potential, especially once they go international
PERFECTLY FILMED! You really made the space priority. I mean, just perfect. Even the weather made it visually optimum with a clear blue sky. It looked like a living video game! The pacing of the filming was perfect, and no one crossed in your foreground. The coins looked nuts!
The coins are absolutely the most well executed piece of the illusion. I remember in the reveal of the park, I thought the coins were added in post or something, I couldn't believe how well done they were
I absolutely agree. This was done so well I wouldn't feel the need to see it myself.
Should have turned his camera around more, so we can see left and right. Kinda kept it still the whole time.
The line itself is insane. They really prepared for any busy days, the line itself is super long, beautifully decorated, and toadette interacting with the line. There's even a huge surplus of vehicles, albeit distracting a bit.
You almost never get this at Disneyland, even with newer rides.
This is one of those ENDLESS rides, so there is always a seat. Disney has them as well {Buzz lighyear shooter game}
disneyland is super well decorated and themed. there's always some sort of details to look at, just not on the older rides.

i dont know about disneyland but disney world has a ton of rides like this and while its a neat idea all the interactive stuff in line usually just slows the line down. i walk around people that are just sitting there fucking with buttons longer than a minute.
Half of the line is in between two buildings outside without any decoration

Visiting this place as my 8-year-old self would have fucking melted my brains. This is insane. The only issue I have is, maybe everything is too cramped together? Other than that, literally my dreams while I played DS
It’s a pretty small area they were given, idk if they could make it less cramped
I heard there is going to be a donkey kong expansion coming, so it may be bigger than this

The coolest part is the amount of effort they put into making stylized game assets almost exist in real life. The colors are super vibrant, but the most important part is the materials and textures. The dirt wall look so cool because they actually extrude where the little rocks stick out and each part has a different texture. Like grass is glossy, dirt layers are bumpy.
My favorite part of the Super Nintendo Worlds is the fact that there's just so much kinetic energy and so much going on in them.
Hearing the music from Yoshi's Story hit me extra hard in the nostalgia feels ❤

This video has made me realize that there’s a 100% chance I’ll cry because of sheer joy when I go to Orlando’s Super Nintendo World.
I legitimately cried tears of joy just watching this Yoshi ride man

This is some of the best craftsmanship I have ever seen
The use of walls made to look like trees and hills to completely block out sight of anything outside of the themed zone is genius. It makes it completely immersive without the distraction of seeing other buildings or structures to break you out of the game world.
This is just incredible! It doesn’t even feel real but it is.

Nintendo really started out as selling game cards to making 2D childhood video games to now this, thank you Nintendo for guiding me to a real childhood.
I would literally be crying the whole time I’m walking through the park because it’s so cool and overwhelming. It’s literally my childhood dream coming to life.
I love how the entire park is modeled around super Mario 3D world. It’s really a blast to 2013 and a wonderful Homage to the Wii U

The detail just take you to another world ...brings back childhood dreams and memories...... complete with Mario enemies this is breathtaking...I would love to experience someday

There is something magical about the moment you enter the park. It’s like you really have been transported to the mushroom kingdom.
yeah, because when you enter the pipe to the world, you can't see anything foreign to mushroom kingdom.
Love how they block the horizon so it actually feels like your in the Nintendo universe

The attention to detail is beautiful. A totally immersive experience. Love that so much is interactive. You could just go there for the atmosphere.
This is insane, it's so immersive!!! The way there's coins everywhere, SPINNING even, and that you can actually hit the bricks and mystery boxes... and my favorite detail jas got to be the little goomba walking back and fourth next to the piranha plant. Holy shit it actually feels like your in a mario level. I'm more impressed by this than half the stuff at Disney land
Or all the stuff at Disney.
And that's just the beginning. Donkey Kong Island is already under construction. Pokemon and Zelda are rumored as well and it wouldn't surprise me coming from the company that built 3 different Harry Potter lands.

I'm curious if Universal will have trouble maintaining this land when it comes to Florida. Orlando heat is notorious for fading outdoor paint rapidly, and there's a lot of bright colors here to upkeep.
Disney keeps their theming looking top notch in my opinion so I don't see how Universal will struggle
Japan gets very humid as well. Only thing they have going for it is they get winters unlike Florida
I heard universal is working on an other theme park called epic universal! It's gonna be a while tho till it's being done. But ik they are adding this park to it.
If they care about the land, which I’m sure they will since it’s new and popular, it will be fine. I.e. the wizarding world of Harry Potter looks amazing day to day. On the other hand, when they neglect it, it’s pretty obvious. And you don’t have to look very far to see it in effect at Suesslanding. But they’ll be dedicated to the new area and new park in general

@@martillery there’ll always be crowds in these parks. Same with Disney land. Besides it’s better being surrounded by fellow Mario enjoyers instead of feeling alone with no livelihood around the area to soak in

The Orlando one will be even cooler apparently, as it'll open out of the gate with 3 areas while the Japan one will only have 2 at that point.

the Piranha plant animatronic above the Mario and Luigi meet & greet is so impressive and fluent! I also love the SM3DW remix in the background AND the attention to detail, as well as the interactive blocks!

The attention to detail in this little park is amazing. Why can't we have something like this in America? I'm really surprised it's not busier. I guess it was some special visit you were a part of for this.
They're building versions in both Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal Studios Orlando; the one in Orlando is even going to have a Donkey Kong minecart rollercoaster that isn't in Japan or Hollywood.
Universal Orlando is getting a third gate called Epic Universe. One of the lands is Super Nintendo World, which will not only have the Mushroom Kingdom but Donkey Kong Country

On top of everything looking incredible I love how they have the Thwamps moving up and down, the Pirahna Plants actually moving around and their mouths opening and closing, the coins spinning and the Goombas pacing. They could've made all of those stay still but they didn't which makes it even better.

Holy lord this thing is a marvel to look at from a design and engineering point of view, the way it uses the vertical space to block out other buildings and landmarks, completely absorbing you into the space. Lot of very talented people worked on this

As stated by others the use of space and color here is immense. It feels so immersive. I love that the bright look of Nintendo games carries over to this park. It really is a perfect look. It’s amazing how clean and bright everything is too!
