Thx for showing the Survivors in Manatee County. Most the kids my sons grew up with are all already dead now. Now we all live together again in order to survive in Florida in 2024.🙏❤️🔥💔❤️🔥🙏
I lived in Bradenton and Bradenton Beach for several years as a kid. My Father (Tom Lake) managed the Bradenton Marina next to the Desoto Landing. My Mother (Frances) worked at F.W.Woolworth and Pete Reynards Yacht Club as the Hostess. I was a youngster who loved being around Pete and his wife; they were great folks and ran a beautiful restaurant. I THINK that his yacht club is still there. I have seen overhead views of Bradenton Marina and not a whole lot of it has changed. The boat slips were covered then and there was a large dry storage building that is gone. The last place we lived was only a slight distance from the entrance to the DeSoto Monument. The only thing there at that time was a small area that the Conquistadores re-enactors used each year. Whenever I needed to get around as an 8-11yr. old I would hitchhike all over the Bradenton area from downtown to the DeSoto Mon. area and back again. All I remember is that Bradenton, and Bradenton Beach, were great places to live and a lot of adventures for kids. When we lived on Bradenton Beach all I had to do we cross the street and go swimming, day or night. BUT, after seeing this video, and the arial videos of the "better side of town" views it has changed SOOO much into one big NASTY and OVERLY wealthy bunch of folks that I am thankful to God that my dad moved us back to Indianapolis when he did. This video is depressing and just blew the crap out of my childhood memories and dreams.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS do you have one of that features 16th st west my grandma used to live there aner im curious how much worse the area has gotten since she passed
Papi, Jackson and Birmingham led the country in homicides in 2023. Most California cities were down. I hope you a do crime update in a few months. Happy new years, jose.
The city of Sarasota is much nicer than city of Bradenton, two differnent worlds. There some nice spots in West Bradenton though. Once you get east of I75, Bradenton turns into Lakewood Ranch, which is really nice as well.
Dont be confused the hoods in Sarasota are worse than Bradenton. I go anywhere in Bradenton but avoid some spots in Sarasota. LWR is nice so is west Bradenton.
Please stop bashing Bradenton and other city's man find something to do better with your life join a good church or do something to help better the world thanks
Hey don't forget to show some of the nice areas too if you're showing the streets of Bradenton you only really should the ghetto parts I would say at least 70% of Bradenton is pretty nice you didn't show anything off of Manatee Avenue or by 75th Street 59th Street you didn't show anything past 36th on Cortez it just feels like you're trying to portray Bradenton as a s*******
@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS it really depends if you're talking about the greater Bradenton Area or talking about just strictly the city limits. We're talking just in the city limits of Bradenton the Riverview area is nice in the area between 59th and 75th are also nice. West Bradenton is lovely palmasola Park is lovely Lakewood Ranch is a nice area. But these are all not technically Bradenton your video was shot in Bayshore Gardens South Bradenton samoset and oneco very little from Bradenton city limits. All I'm saying is try to show all of the city not just the degenerate derelict areas of town its 2024 try to be optimistic
@@moves3297 no… the core of this video was filmed off US41 the heart of Bradenton. I dont even think I went south of 70 to be in Bayshore Gardens. Doesn’t matter what city limits are I am way far east and my Drivers License says Bradenton anyways.
sadly, you would be hard pressed to find another city with a larger homeless problem outside of Fresno California and Philadephias kenssignton. this crap aint normal. dont try to normalize how bad our issues are. Our beaches are the best tho,
So defensive today I watch almost everyone of you videos, and I'm from palmetto and live in cape Coral. I saw your summertime videos about the beaches just saying that when you drive around the streets of Bradenton and you don't seem to be representing any of the high-end or middle class in between Cortez and manatee Avenue from 24th Street through 75th Street are all middel class homes. Your video was shot between 14th Street AKA hooker Alley North 41 onico And over by Southeast High these are the worst areas of Bradenton and are not representative of Bradenton as a whole. I'm not trying to downplay the homeless population I'm simply saying every town has old parts that are run down.
Looking to move there. Every town has homeless and bad areas. I come from Phoenix where the homeless are everywhere. I know there are nice spots. It’s been rated a family friendly place to live. As long as the people are nice, I don’t care what their home looks like.
@@tvv1881 sorry that’s the case brother. It was an amazing place to grow up in the 80’s. I couldn’t have asked for a better place. I had a great education and got to fish/go to beach/sail every single day of the year. The county commissioners really are the ones who ruined it with their visions/aspirations of enriching the county to make it more like Sarasota was at the time. Lakewood Ranch was given a full green light decades of zero tax liability and zero impact payments for the roads/access/water/sewers/schools/police/fire. Those costs were shouldered by the natives in Bradenton while they watched their town become disintegrated by folks would move in like a torrent and had nothing in common with them; all while crushing the markets and making it a pressure cooker. The areas between Bradenton and Sarasota were always the lower income and higher crime areas (picture south of Cortez and west of 41). All of what I listed above turned that area into a runaway rental trap/abuse problem and the drugs and crime grew worse and worse. That then drifted north until the space between cortex and manatee ave became like what used to be only a bayshore problem. Just go and look at how many schools had to be built in the county in just a few years; the population explosion killed that town because it wasn’t organic… it was contrived like a poisoning. Despicable in my mind 😞. Yep, the Marine Corps was my path and too this day, NW Bradenton/Anna Maria/West Palmetto all remain 1990 in my dreams ❤️
I lived in Bradenton twice, once in the early 80's and in 2000 -2002.And I don't recognize it must have been working a lot or sailing and fishing in Sarasota Bay .
So how's the Day Labor places doing in Florida and how much are they paying daily? If you had a driver's license and a car seemed like Day Labor was a temporary solution for income.
Used to live there like by bayshore gardens but decided to move to Ohio miamiburg and is so much better and cleaner idk about other far areas but there's so many nice parks within less than 30 minutes , malls and many big shops
I saw video yesterday on youtube about NYC homeless they put fridges on the streets in NYC they give free food that Florida needs do that at local gas stations local churchs do it maybe you put idea out there.
You're not showing the really beautiful, well kept, exclusive areas that the elite keep from us poors. The rest of town has to look like this so all the money can get funneled into Lakewood Ranch and such. Sort of a microcosm of the US economy in general.
i lived in a trailer park in Naples and people were always over the top. in these types of hoods people do interesting crap all the time. I had novelty mailboxes.. one was made form computer motherboards and looked like a speceship. another was a FULL SIZED pink boat.. but katie ran that over with a convertible we had LOL
Bradenton has some run down parts but the eastern suburbs are smooth and nice
LWR is great
Happy new year Jose and Katie 🥳🫶🏿 all the best to you both for 2024❤
It’s really sad to know the amount of suffering . It makes me very grateful for my blessings , every day.
Very true. You have to he thankful daily because theres people out there really going thru struggles
It's kinda comforting that nothing changes in Bradenton. I guess that's my sickness talking from having too many not great memories there.🤦
More traffic. Left in 2012. Went there a few times earlier this year for work. Traffic definitely increased by a lot.
breaks your heart seeing the misery and suffering in our city 😢 theres only so much one person can do to help too
A place that is rich but has some rundown areas.
With the disappearance of the middle class over the last 4 years, I’m surprised there isn’t even more crime here.
Thx for showing the Survivors in Manatee County. Most the kids my sons grew up with are all already dead now. Now we all live together again in order to survive in Florida in 2024.🙏❤️🔥💔❤️🔥🙏
Your not the first person to say that and its absolutely heartbreaking 😢 I only lost one friend to drugs in Naples. How can this be possible?
I lost one friend to drugs, Chelsea. Losing her alone was more than enough for me to NEVER touch drugs.
Sort of sad...I was there a few times in the '70s, and it was a nice place....
Thats the problem for Florida standards it’s an older city.

I dont even wanna go record in those two towns, add BR to that list.. Memphis too.
And it's 90+ degrees for 10 months.
Lots of urban “grubble in B/town. It’s been on a downward trajectory since the 1960s!

It’s embarrassing that Bradenton is ran like that. City with such a good potential.
The best beaches here, how can just a beautiful place be in this condition? Whatever happened here is a failure
i just found out bout yo Channel, good work bro, im from the 941 area
The village of the Arts is looking nice though and yeah a lot of Bradenton has run down spots but I think you can find that in any City

where the hell is the Peek A Boo lounge?
The disappearance of the middle class is doing a lot of this in Florida
Fym bradenton been like this for years
I get so many packages i automatically hate this place
Come to Sarasota
🌴🌴🌴 beaches and shopping love Sarasota

Why didnt you show the nice places like near Lakewood Ranch? This video is VERY misleading.
Blame the DeSantis junta currently governing Florida.
Left a few days after high school graduation 33 years ago; glad I didn’t go back so it remains a ‘Narnia’ in my mind.
Goal for me, I despise this place
