Hi great videos mate, I subscribed. Wondering if You could help with getting to the air Recirculation motor for flap. It’s making a knocking noise when activated. Other videos seem to be USA models. Mines a 2014 UK , uk model has the fuse box behind glove box which is in the way. Thanks in advance :)
Hi John, the VW guide simply says remove the glove compartment, remove the two bolts which hold the recirculation door motor. remove from the air intake duct, then disconnect the connector. In the diagram once you take the glove compartment off it shows you can get to it, albeit it looks like it will be a nightmare as you don't have a lot of space. I hardwired my dashcam into the fuse box, at the weekend so know how tight it is in there, but saying that I did not take the glove compartment out, I just dropped the cover off. If you take the glove compartment out, I believe there are only 6 screws holding it in place - 4 at the top, two at the bottom. Hope this helps.
To remove the instrument cluster do you have to remove this radio cover? is there a clip behind the radio cover that is for the instrument cluster? Thanks
When I get my golf, it’ll have the grey trim so I want to take all the trim out to spray it gloss black, is it as simple as this for instrument panel, push in storage box thing, around the gear shifter and door panels?
Mate, some are a bit trickier than others. For the storage box, watch my other video - its pretty easy. Be careful with the trim around the gear shifter, you can break the trim if you are not careful. Haven't tried the door trim piece off yet.
They are simply car trim removal tools. If you do a google search you will find them from most autostore's for about $20, or if you want the cheap version like the ones I have, get them from ebay for $3. The cheap ones I have do what you need them to and come in a pack of 4. Thanks for watching, and subscribe to be notified of any new videos I do.
Have you ever removed the stowage cubby hatch below the radio/heater control? Mine seems to be dislodged on one side and I'm trying to figure out the best way to pop it back in place.
Hi @O.Yos93 I'm not too sure which metal clips you are referring to, however if I need any clips of trims, I just go to a car scrap yard / wreckers. There are loads of Golfs so you can always get any of the bits you need. They are usually always pretty cheap as well. Thanks for watching. Remember to subscribe.

Yes you do. There are a few clips under the cover just next to the instrument cluster.

No I cant say I have, however I will have a look.
Watch my new video, and you will see how to get the stowage cubby / compartment out.
Does anyone know where i can get the metal clips?

can this be retrofitted in a golf 5 with the appropriate fascia?
??????
This is good. But ....because you need so much time
where the hell is the actual radio CHASIS? cuz it aint behind that screen
The heart of the stereo is in the glove compartment. If you are replacing the whole unit, you need to take this part out as well.
Howto Man haha yup I found it. LMAO.
I had a china Navi to install and was like WTF?
all sorted 😁
