I love my 31 years old analogue setup. 2 simple bulbs to light the thing at night, one knob to change the brightness (that goes from nothing to barely visible ahah) When I had to drive a modern car with digital stuff it made me almost blind. Nothing like an old setup. Better visibility, simpler gages, less info, less cluter, more driving. More reliability also

Different cars, look at the central navigation, one car is a 7 with old system and single zone sitcom and the one driving is a 7.5. With discover pro Nav and dual zone climate control.

All was well until the phone screen mirroring in the freaking dash. This is a big no. We are trying to avoid people being distracted by their phone at the wheel, not find ways that makes it easier to have their phone beneath their eyes at all times. And we wonder why people need driving aids now... You are driving, focus on driving. Nothing else. The disassembly/reassembly part is well done, though.

This looks awful similar to an audi B8 setup 2011 to be specific. Curious would you think this is possible for an audi b8 to get the newer lcd like you did here?im not sure about VW and the year that lcd came from. VW owns Audi. Depending on the cars, a lot is interchangeable. I'm fairly certain they've just got the digital cockpit from a higher model & retrofitted it to a lower model.

I´m really the only one who prefers gauges over some display ? And i think VW group has a very nice clusters.
What about active cruise control and all the other assistance systems ? Like lane assist and traffic sign recognition.
The car Needs the acc and lane assist units (sensors and cameras)
