- I've used MAG Grip Cable Attachments for years. And when they told me they had a new Three Quarter Grip that landed. between the mediums and the wide, I was stoked! In this video I cover my initial thoughts on where this ranks in the MAG lineup.

I find myself using the narrow grip supinate and the wide grip a ton. I also have a medium supinate, but don't use it quite as much. I think I'd prefer this three-quarter grip for a middle option. My favorite out of what I have is the narrow supinate. Love that thing, feel like I can hit my lower lats a lot better with it.
@@GluttonforPunishment everyone seems to have some slightly different preferences... My favorite is the Medium Supinate personally. That said, we use the close grip supinate a LOT in our gym, even my 7 year old daughter uses it.
The MAGs always seemed like a great option though I've never tried them. I ended up going with the Prime handles and the GymPin D handle bar. They've paired well for me so far.
No complaints there from me. Prime makes good stuff.
How're you liking the prime 4n1 and 3n1 to date?
Always appreciate your detailed reviews, Joe!
Thanks Dude. More to come.
After watching this video some time back,it has sit on my wishlist until TODAY.trying to get the entire collection like you.this will be 4 of 8 .since I have either the pronate or supine version of the close and medium grip,I just flip the handle on their back and it turns into their counterpart.just a suggestion for others until they get the entire collection too.great vid by the way bro.I’m about your height and purchased specifically cause of this videos feedback.also I love using the wide attachment and felt like the medium grip pronate is a little too narrow for me.
Very cool! Let me know what you think when it arrives. It's one of our more used pulldown options.
im waiting for these mag grips to go on sale. i have the 4n1 rot8 prime attachment and the close grip. I was looking for something a little bit wider and i have never tried mag grips before. This would be the only mag grip I would go for that im missing. I also have the wide rogue lat pull down bar so i wouldnt go for the widest mag grip either.
I'm pretty sure you will be waiting awhile... I haven't seen a sale literally ever.
@@GrayMatterLifting I'll try it out thank you.
Always appreciate your thorough reviews Joe ! Keep’em coming ! Review the Trak fitness handles !
On the list! It is just an ever growing list lol... More than likely I'll tackle a full video on cable attachments, opposed to addressing those individually
This review is history, of course, and now this bar is available widely. I got mine today. Love this bar! Just order it, if you haven't already. It feels great for lat pull-downs. Th ergonomics were well thought out and executed. And here's another big plus: MADE IN AMERICA, y'all.
MAG makes great stuff. Hoping they finally get their stuff locked down and release their new triceps attachments.
Which strap is the best to use with the MAG grip? Maybe wieght lifting hooks? I tried to use conventional straps and figure eight lifting straps and didn't work
You really shouldn't need straps. That is a big piece to the puzzle with them. If no straps doesn't work, you need to make sure you are grabbing them correctly. If that still doesn't work, I'd take a look at your grip strength. These are specifically designed to not need straps.
I can’t find the grip between the medium and wide grip where did you find? I checked the official website and didn’t see it?
That's the whole point of the video my man... It's not available yet. They sent me one, I think about 3 or 4 people have it.
It’s available now on their website
@@DarDarBanks1 yep, launched two weeks ago I believe
@@GrayMatterLifting awesome, yeah, I was randomly checking out their website and noticed the new piece and immediately came on UA-cam to see if anyone had a video hehe 😉
By any chance, would you have an affiliate link or discount codes for mag ?
@@DarDarBanks1 I do not! They currently don't do that. I think they are exploring the idea in the future, but currently no discount codes or links available. Just let em know in the order comments we chatted, it helps.
Just bought this one , in your opinion what one is best to hook on for low rows on a cable machine , and also had the longest bar and sent back cause it was to long , but been reading up and even though it might not went as low as I wanted it to towards my chest , maybe the longest bar would hit your rear delts hard with light weight , did not try that
Have you read this by chance? graymatterlifting.com/mag-grip-cable-attachments-comprehensive-guide/
Should give you a ton of ideas and info. The wide for seated rows never felt right to me.
@@GrayMatterLifting thanks I read about everything, never been big on the regular d row handle for low cable rows trying to find something that will work better
@@jamesdingess9988 medium grip supinated MAG for seated rows. If you have a dual cable like a functional trainer, you can toss in the PRIME ROT8 handles. I'll be using both today for my back workout
Great write up, thanks!
How do these compare to Prime 4n1?
Check the link in the description... I have a full write up on the MAGs and I talk about the Prime handles, compete sizes, feel, etc. And make recommendations on what to buy
Since this one feels more sort of like a standard pull and that the wide was too wide, why not call it standard? Medium, standard, wide. Or, call it medium wide. Wider than medium, but not as wide as what is already called wide.
They ended up calling it the 3/4 Grip. Because it's between the medium and the wide.
You tease...
This one was fun to make lol
Wedium
At least I didn't call it the Wenis?
Don’t do this to me, Joe. I have enough equipment already🫣
Lmao! It never ends dude.
