More and more people went to war which developed society and technology much faster. In Africa, if there was a dictator or war going on, there was so much room in Africa that you could just leave and start anew. People went to war for more people and so it never really developed anywhere. If the roles were reversed and white people lived in Africa and Africans were in Europe, ignoring the evolution that would happen where Europeans would be black and Africans would then be white, they would have developed the same as Europeans did.
