Audi A6 3.2 - Front sway bar links easy fix
Вставка

- I like to travel to exotic places. The roads leading to some of these places can be really bad. As a result I beat up my suspensions pretty much. One of the suspension components that usually fails first is the sway (stabilizer) bar link. When it fails, it clunks badly.
Do you know you can replace your stabilizer bar links without removing anything and without having to jack up the car? Don't believe me? Hold my beer...

I replaced mine follow your instructions in the video and it worked really well. Had a couple of issues removing the old one but after that it went well. A shop wanted $150 to fix it. Audi wanted over $200. I fixed it myself for about. $30 and an hour of hard work. Thank you for the video. Keep them coming please. ✌
Well done! I appreciate the feedback 😊
Very useful. Good detail and you made it as simple as possible for even a novice like me. 👍
I am glad it is useful 😊

Masz bardzo cenne i pomocne filmy, dobrze, że je wstawiasz.
Doceniam!
Dude this video is awesome! Editing is 🥇🏆🏅gold! Do you have any videos on replacing the breather hose system that connect to the top of the valve covers? I broke one of mine while replacing the gaskets. I wrapped some electrical tape around it and it's been a good temporary fix but I'd like to replace it. Thank you
I appreciate! No I do not have any video about replacing the breather hose yet but it is coming soon. I broke the tab in the driver's side and also on the PCV valve and it's leaking slightly at both locations. However, if you can't wait, here is how to get to it:
1. Remove the intake hose.
2. Remove the upper intake and cover the lower intake ports.
3. And it's right there in the V. Clean the area, cut cable ties.
4. Remove the breather hose assembly screw, pull it off the PCV system.
5. Installation is reverse of removal.
Hey! Super useful as always. :) Haven’t gotten to mine yet - it’s been too much winter still - super cool that you did this on the ground. Perfect answer to my AW question. 👍😃
I appreciate the feedback! I actually made this video thinking of you. I'm glad it will be useful 😁
Great Video, Going to try your method, Steve from UK
Good luck!
@@ThatAfricanGuy Had to jack up and take wheel off in the end, couldn't reach doing it your way, but was fairly easy job to do
@@stenor I am glad it went well 👍🏾
I have changed mine last year, those bolts are suppossed to be to long, you have to cut them, that's what an audi mechanic explained in a youtube video. Those bolt are also used on the D3 A8 if i remember correctly, thats why they are to long, with an aftermarket replacement they will be to long, like mine. Those bolts are also one time use.
Oh okay! I replaced these 3 times over 6 years and this was the first time I tried OEM instead of genuine. I guess I'm just gonna keep buying original genuine replacement parts instead. I don't want to have to cut anything 😅
@@ThatAfricanGuy Those bolts are very expensive if you buy them original, my aftermarket ones where like 10-20 dollars, orginal ones where somewhere like twice the price if i remember correctly for just 4 bolts, and the top nut and bolt are different sizes if i remember correctly, that was also the case with the aftermarket ones I had my eyes one.
@@anel115 I don't have parts available in my country. I order parts from abroad and they cost to ship, take time to get here and require me to pay customs and tax fees that are ridiculously high. It's almost impossible for me to return a part that did not fit and I would need to pay all these fees again and wait again for the right parts to come. So I don't take any chances. I don't mind paying more. I almost always buy genuine parts. They are expensive but with them I have peace of mind. 😅
Have the same Audi. Your videos are helpful.
Sweet editing!!! great job
I appreciate 😁
Damn, just placed an order on ECS with all my bushings, sway bars links as well... Glad to see your video before I replace them.
Are you going to do the control arms as well?
I bought a extractor tool, so I can replace bushings a lot cheaper, no need to buy the whole arm...
I replaced the lower control arms bushings recently but I did not make a video unfortunately. However the ball joints both upper and lower are on their way so I should plan on replacing the whole control arms in the future. I will try to make a video this time 👍🏽
*Thanks for your video. You doing grate job!*
I appreciate 😎
Hi from Holland, new fan here!! Thanks for sharing. Great!! 👍
I appreciate 😁
Bruh. I watched this video. I watched you have to take the bolts back out because they were longer than the originals. I had the same thing. Tried to fit them anyway. Wouldn't go into the anti roll bar all the way. Fml why am I so thick
@@Mike-xu2qh 😅 You shouldn't force it.
Awesome video editing once again! Do you have a sparks plug video btw? I couldn't find one I searched your channel.
Thank you! No I don't have one for the spark plugs yet. That may come soon ;) Stay tuned.
Oh I just remembered I showed how to replace the spark plugs in the following videos of valve cover gaskets replacement. There was oil in the spark plugs wells so I removed the spark plugs, cleaned the wells then installed replacement ones. The torque spec is 30 Nm.

@@ThatAfricanGuy Brilliant, I will take a look
Thanks for sharing. What were the symptoms before you knew yours were shot? I have a slight clunk under my front wheels and my mechanic is thinking that could be the cause.
I had a clunking noise up front and the link was damaged upon closer inspection. The lower bushing came out of its housing. I remember falling into a very deep pothole which should have caused it because the tire burst and the wheel broke when it happened.
Hi from Russia! Good job!
Thank you! 😊
