It's nice but it smokes a lot... And Taramps smart 3 does a better job more power. (I know cause i have them both).. downside massive current draw even with my darn mechman elite Alt 400amps and xs power titan 8 under the hood but I have 2 1 ohm skar zvxx how to get to half ohm
@@RealPivotTV it was a lot at first it wasn't a heavy cloud but it was smoking a lot. I sent Surge audio a video and pics and they said "It's excess flux from the solder job on the amps. The output inductors do get warm on this model, so it's burning off that flux. And it takes any anywhere from 10 to 15 hours of playing time for it to burn off."
@@crandallexpo0648I have heard of this. It is very possible, a lot of electronics and metals have flux and oil and other lubricants and stuff on them from the factory. I wanna hope the factory would test each one and burn any of that off there but they are in a hurry understandably. I’m guessing it was fine after it burned off?
@@RealPivotTV well I haven't had that much playing time that they recommended for the full burn.. But it's still burning I can smell every morning dropping my kids off to school etc... I'll probably keep it still and give it to my wife to replace that jp23 V2 she has. And get myself a newer taramps big boss model and JP 6.0 LTO battery in back since it's been highly praised as giving results 🤷🏽♂️. Meh

My wife is running one of those super big pink breast cancer ab amps that Down4sound sold but I am really thinking about putting the surge in her car. I’m sure Surge would replace yours if it doesn’t stop. I would probably just hook it up to a battery and let it just run and see if it stops and if that didn’t work I’d send it back for an exchange. Let me know when you are ready to get rid of the jp23v2 I need to dyno one of those maybe we can work out a trade or I can just buy it from you.
I recently ordered two of these Surge Audio 3k because they were out of the SA 7k at the time of ordering. My question is would it be safe to say both of my Surge Audio 3k strapped will do around 14k Dynamic into a 1 ohm since individually they're good for half ohm? Thanks for your videos.
Thanks for commenting! I personally would see no issue doing that. 1 ohm final load should be fine but always check what the manufacturer says if you don’t want to void your warranty!
I literally just fired mine up . Kinda bumer shits smoked like a bitch and i get no output out of it . I send them a video and straight up got ignored by customer service . I pre ordered on November got it January. And barely got it fired yesterday obviously still under warranty . But seems like who ever is in charge doesnt care . .down4sound reviews on this amp also ain't good . They smoke .
I don’t like amp dyno test it’s not a real test we don’t play sin waves or 40 hrz signals when the amp is in the vehicle you play music and I’ll put my life on it that the amp will do no where near that power on music it’s just not going to happen that amp is on the line of blowing up on those test don’t believe the BS these amp dyno test are just lies created by people to make money how many volts AC are coming out of that amp that’s the true test not some construed amp test with made up numbers play it on music then will see how it does don’t fall for the BS just saying there are way better products out there for way less money that’s not a 6k amplifier it’s just not sorry to burst your bubble stop leading people down the wrong path

My point is this is my channel, made for me to express how I feel and what I think. I just don’t understand the mentality of showing up to watch someone else’s stuff and then shitting all over it. Amp dyno’s aren’t new. I am not the only person filming them. It’s supposed to be entertainment. Car dyno’s are exactly the same thing. In fact all dyno’s are. It’s an example of what any product will do with perfect conditions. Who asked you to “educate” anyone? Have fun being a self proclaimed “educator” no one asked for or needed. We all know it’s entertainment. You just sound goofy..
