We were pretty excited the first time we did the Blue Beacon with our 5th wheel. The only bad point is getting the roof and solar panels clean.
I was so excited to save so much time. Did it hurt your solar panels?
@@LiveTomorrowNow Actually, the Blue Beacon ceilings are not tall enough for them to do the top of our Grand Design Momentum.

@@WestsontheMove Due to insurance they are not allowed on top of any rig without fall protection. The ceilings inside are high enough to get on top .But just can’t go on top.

These wash facilities are basically just for an in-between full washing.

I was a bay leader at the "geekin beacon" for many years. Yours should be a 1 NBA wax 1 (if you wanted wax) I would have flashed the aluminum with brightener to kill the dull polish and bring out the shine but you have to be careful doing that or it will streak from the lugnuts. I would have also immediately called it a brush 1 so in all you would have the initial 305, wash, brush, wash, then wax and rinse. That wash with an appropriate crew should have taken 6-7 minutes from the moment the truck entered the bay. I would have been disappointed with myself and my bay to allow a wash leave looking like that.

When you were pulling out of their wash bay the windshield looked streaked. There was water running down but this looked like dried streaks, not wet streaks. Was that the rainx?

Just curious how bad the water stains were?? I realize they can't use DI water.
Well….wasn’t great, wasn’t bad. We dove on the highway quickly after the wash, which helped, but you could still some (but limited) spotting, more so in the black. I would love to get a DI system, do you have one?

I saw what appears me and upgraded radio for driver, was it a panasonic single din in there orgriinaly and any problems with install?
You are correct! It is a single din radio and recently replaced with a Jensen J1CA9. JENSEN J1CA9 9-inch Touch Screen... www.amazon.com/dp/B092PDRPYW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It works very well and even displays my Aladin information. Installation was straight forward and fit dash nicely. There is an adjustment and I was able to move the screen up and down to get a good viewing angle. Very happy with it. Good eye noticing it in the video! 👍
I'm a retired truck driver and I have never used a blue beacon. I was fortunate enough that whoever I worked for had their own wash service when the truck was at the yard. I have heard SO many horror stories about Blue Beacon. People who own REALLY nice trucks going in with dirty grimy road spray and coming out with polished wheels that got acid sprayed. (It works great on old rims but a glossy shinny aluminum it will strip the shine off and make look dull and whiteish) The shine they had on their truck (under the grime) would be significantly damaged.

You have to ask for non acid water. Blue Beacon is the best. Can’t beat their prices.
Blue Beacon refers to it as “No Brightener Wash”. You are right, the acid wash can hurt the finish on RV’s. 👍🏻

It has been a common concern in the RV community that the acid wash can destroy the shine on fiberglass, which most consider to be true. Hence the question, Destroyed Shine? All RVers should ask for the wash with NO brighter. The mistake, ugh, lol, we drove in the out. Rookie mistake. Thanks for the questions. Happy Travels!

No blower. Their website says some locations have towel dry. But not in Denton.

I have one of these truck wash’s by my job. I had to take the company dually and a 30 ft. Trailer washed for, I believe $60.
