I rescued an over sized husky at one of our shelters years ago. He was 5 they thought and weighed in at 103:) that was the best dog I've ever had hands down! When I was walking him at the shelter to see if "we were a good fit" he went straight to my drivers side door, sniffed it and sat down! From then on we were inseparable! I had him for an amazing five years. It's been 7 years since he left me but I still think of him daily! He was my furmate:)

Aww big baby :) A friend of mine has a gigantic Malamute but he's like a teddy bear :) It's so heart breaking to see them age, and not be able to do the things they used to do. My friend's dog gets injured so often now and he can't run major races anymore. But he's been so well taken care of just like your baby :)
Hi sweet thing. First off what a sweet fur baby. I have 2 dogs 1 was a Siberian husky who was almost 15. In lost him October 26th 2017. My heart was torn out of my heart that day. I still talk to him as tho he is still here, which I do believe they visit in spirit, he will be in my heart forever and look forward to seeing him again. My 2nd dog husky mix, she is 17 and still with me. Seeing this video made me smile to know people love their dogs tremendously. Dogs are the best. Give your senior pet a hug from me, he is beautiful.

Judi O'Regan - His tail is going bald from old age and he's always had sore joints because his bones grew in crooked from being starved before we found him. That's not blood on his fur lol it's just water. He likes to lie in it to keep cool and it makes his fur go brown.

OMG- you guys are awesome with the teeth brushing. I'm a vet nurse, but I share my dog with my folks, because they left her with me too much, and I got too attached, so we sorted a custody arrangement lol. HOWEVER- they trained her. When I do get a puppy far off in the very distant future that I don't really want to think about :( I will train her/him to accept tooth brushing everyday from the get go. Dental issues are not only painful, terrible for health and very, very common, but they are also expensive. Prevention is always best.
Danny reminds me of Roger, my senior dog who passed away a few years ago, despite Roger being at least 1/4th of Danny's size (he was a corgi x lab rescue). I'm so glad to see other senior dogs getting the love and care they deserve

I think I saw Danny winking at me right before his afternoon walk. Awwww..... I'm glad to see you brush Danny's teeth too, but I must say he is sooooo great with brushing. He allows you to flip his lip to brush which I can't do, so I must compliment you on that since it's not an easy task. Danny needs to come back to Portland to show my mal how to take long naps. :) :)

Ive had 6 dogs in my lifetime, 3 are still with me. One jackrussel 11yeara, one purebred whippet (very large) 6 years and one lurchur 2 yeRs. Everyday (no matter the weather) they get a 1-2 mile off the lead run, a ball or stick that is continually thrown for the lurchur, the whippet when he can be bothered also gets a ball thrown and the jackrussel had no interest. Either that or they get a 2-4 mile walk on extending leads. And sometimes they get both walks in one day if the weather is nice and we have the time. My jackrussel is in very good health for his age and his vet said to just keep doing what we are doing. He gets stiff limbs sometimes in the morning but to fix that i give him a bit of a massage. The onky reason im writing this is because i want to show that not every dog is the same. Some older dogs get tierd quicker than others. Etc . Your dogs is very well looked after and very fluffy ( must be hard work!)
Have you ever thought of putting him on a raw diet? The biscuit type stuff you are feeding him is like giving him a sugary breakfast cereal. I am not having a go at you, I was just wondering. My puppy started on that food and go really sick, once on a raw diet he was bouncing around within 24 hours, his coat is shiny and never oily or smelly, his teeth are white (without brushing). a good bone to knaw on helps his teeth and he is very strong.I He is now 3 years old. Point I am trying to make is they need more than just these biscuits to stay healthy.

Have you had Danny since he was a puppy? It’s amazing how well he can still eat dry food. You sure keep up good hygiene with his teeth. Not many if any ppl do this for their K9’s. Much love ❤️

Alaskan malamutes are actually sled dogs like their look alikes,huskies, but are slower and are used to pull heavy sleds.

Yes, we rescued him when he was 4 months old. He's been with us ever since and now he's 12 years old :3 The vet is always impressed with his teeth.
