- I have very dry skin and i used on vaseline petroleum jelly on face for one week to see how vaseline works on the skin especially dry skin. As a black girl, I have struggled with dry skin and I have heard a lot of reviews about vasline being the secret to glowing skin and I decided to try it out for a few days to document the changes on my skin.

Do you use any other moisturizers? I’m 58, never really had any skin issues,never use soap on my face but noticed that my skin was a little dry after taking certain prescription meds so I started using a moisturizer. I like the moisturizer that I use but may try Vaseline because we did use Vaseline growing up.
Petroleum jelly may also clog pores. While some forms promise not to clog the pores, it forms a barrier that may cause skin breakouts, especially with frequent use. People with acne or sensitive skin should avoid using petroleum jelly on acne-prone areas, such as the face.

I was someone that did suffer with acne, one thing I learn after years of wasting my money on products, there is no fix but this. Time, just leave it, don't pop them don't worry about them, older you get the lest you will see. You can reduce the appearance with products but it won't stop the acne from coming back. Time is your cure.

Vaseline is like lotion, so just put some on after you wash your face in the morning or night or both. But be careful how much you put on because you will look super shiny lol. I know I’ve been using all my life and I had to learn how to not put too much on because it’s thick so a little goes a long way.
Olive oil is good too, honestly I use olive oil and Vaseline so I like the benefits of both but I will say they both make you shiny so again sis be careful how much you put on, but it will give your skin a soft glow look. And if you have dry skin it will definitely help moisturize it.✨

1. Stop using soaps/facewashes. Use Cetaphil gentle cleanser
2. Use a good moisturizer. Recommendations: Cera ve pm cream, Cera ve healing ointment, Neutrogena hydro boost.

Because it acts as barrier between skin and the environment. It doesn't moisturizes but traps the moisture inside which your skin already have. You can use a thin layer of moisturizer before applying Vaseline to see the results.
Also, is your skin acne prone?
