Victims of IRA bomb attacks react to McGuinness' death - Daily Mail

- Distressing as they are, these images recall the appalling bloodshed and senseless bombings carried out in the 1970s and 1980s (pictured), before Mr McGuinness turned away from the ‘armed struggle’ he had embraced. Decades later, he spoke of his regret that the past could not be undone, although relatives of the IRA’s victims said he had never shown repentance or remorse for his role. They contrasted his death, at the age of 66, with the bombing campaign carried out across Northern Ireland and mainland Britain which killed and injured so many, striking without warning or compassion.

When civillians are targetted, innocent people by all accounts, thats when it really triggers strong emotions whatever side of the barricades you're on.
The deliberate murder & maiming of innocent people is not only morally wrong but also very Stupid.
The world is better off without McGuinness. He was a stain on humanity.
I disagree with the idea that you can’t be happy that someone’s dead. Yes, as a human I would never wish innocents to die. But someone who’s harmed others? They should die and we should be happy and celebrate their death. They’re not human. And they don’t deserve to be treated like humans.
Oh no a serial killer died
Prod here. I have huge respect, but no love, for McGuinness and Paisley. They did their best to bring together our divided communities, and while their previous actions can't be forgiven, they tried to change NI for the better.
And here say all of us

Dude North and south have more in common than not ...I'm in wicklow and half the lads in my gaa club are protestants...my neighbours have a rich British army tradition and are also involved in the gaa club ...for the the sake of protecting what's left of both of our cultures we should stand together united .maybe I'm asking too much.
This guy came to my school I told him a joke he laughed we were talking about them buying and I could see the upset in his face
Anyone heard the Cranberries song?
Do you mean Zombie or another one?
@@Eddie-lm3jf yes, that one
Yep, I've heard it several times
How many atrocities have the British government committed
Too right
How many atrocities did a 12 year old and a 3 year old commit? None. IRA apologists are unbelievable!
Not an excuse. McGuinness was still a mass murderer with fewer morals than Heinrich Himmler.
In Northern Ireland fewer than the IRA in terms of the number of civilians killed
That doesn’t mean the same should be done. By that logic, the IRA are no better than the British Government.
Let’s be real, a lot of countries have messy histories. Mongolian for example, Kublai Khan butchered civilians for the Mongol Empire.
That’s all in the past, nothing can change it. We have to move on.
Rest in peace mcguinness a hero in some hearts
The angry leprachan he is dead! Hahaha!

Us Irish don't forget what the British establishment did to our people & millions across the world.
I can't name one nation that like the British & you wonder why 🙄
USA,Australia,New Zealand, Canada, Poland, and others do like the British actually.
British people generally don't spout hatred of other nationalities on utube.
The members of the CommonWealth seem to like the british, Israel likes the british also.
No one cares
Here in canada we love em. Ya bugger.
If you’re English, you are not a victim.
If that was true, Tim Parry would still be alive. Try using your singular brain cell.
@@invisibleman4827 English get what they deserved. You seem dumber than even the most subhuman slav. Sure you're not a filthy Ukrainian or Pole?
87 of 133 regiments 1840s Eire. What were they doing? Genocide not famine. Why did Victoria and Disresli honour General Blakeneys Men?
And the 1840s are a relevant excuse for the murder of these two kids how?
