I had my son to watch it with me, and we broke down in tears. It's so deep. Anyway I enjoy watching your reactions. Keep it up!
"Spring Day" is a song about loss, longing and missing friends but the video for "Spring Day" has a lot of symbolism/imagery for a Korean national tragedy where 304 people died (250 were students and teachers from one school) [Sewol Ferry sinking in 2014]. Ultimately the Sewol sank due to negligence. The student/passengers were told to stay put and they drowned while the captain and most crew were the 1st to escape. There were 172 survivors, including the school's vice principal, but he committed suicide two days later. The chairman of the ferry company also committed suicide, the Captain went to prison for murder and the Korean coast guard was eventually disbanded due to its bad response It is just an all around sad story.
Spring Day is a very emotional song, and it has its story like almost all BTS songs. The interpretive capacity of both the vocal line and the rap line is 100% superior, and that makes them different for me. In an interview for Jimin's song "Friends", with "V", Jimin expresses that before entering the score of a song he needs to know the story, understand the vibe of it, otherwise he cannot interpret it properly. For me that makes them different. His ability to interpret human emotions and transmit them. My bias is J-Hope and I love the rap line, but I also love the vocal line and recommend seeing live Jin's Epiphany, Jimin's Lie, V's Singularity and J.K.'s Euphoria. The range of their talent is unbelievable.

Sometime research the Korean Sewol Ferry (sinking) disaster-a huge tragedy that lost 300 school kids due to horrific reasons (Government failure to act and those on board basically being abandoned, when in truth, they could have been saved if the Government had reacted properly instead of worrying about "saving face." It was a huge, horrific event, and one that BTS took a brave stance on to even write this song, let alone perform it. It still charts high on the charts in Korea.

I don´t know how many times I watched the Tiny Desk Concert but it´s surely unhealthy. Thank you for this and I really enjoyed your reaction. Yes, JHope has a beautiful singing voice and it matches perfectly with JK. Jimins high pichted voice is out of this world. A lot of people call it angelic. Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions. DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly. Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much. Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly. I think that’s what RM is referring to by “roughest summer ever” and so we still had to go through autumn and winter where it’s known that the pandemic would probably get worse (and it did) so RM is hoping and praying that “Spring will come” and we can heal again. Once you know the significance of Spring Day you will understand how this performance of this song was also meant to comfort those who loss their loved ones in the pandemic and asking them to be strong and have hope for the future. My interpretation but I don’t think I’m far off 💜

I have always considered J-Hope as a melodic rapper. A blend of singing and rapping, so I feel singing is a lot easier for him then RM and Suga.
