Here's something you might not know: you can guide the jury towards a decision by not asking certain questions. The effect is that you can either be a fair judge, a puppet or a puppeteer.
    I found this fascinating.

"it's like a high school relationship."
So I won't know how to play it and the game will laugh at me when I try to start it?

@rabid Jesus Christ. For a long time I wasn't happy with myself for losing my virginity when I did, but this made me rethink the whole situation lmfao.

they should've made it so that the ending dice game could happen after robespierre and the plot twist is that it's a game with your brother's ghost/a figment of your imagination. if you win, you go on to do whatever you do, but if you lose, there's a cutscene where it's revealed that you actually killed yourself. (like the barrel is put against your head, the gun fires, and the next shot is you, dead, holding the gun) if the game made it kinda easy to beat your brother, you would have to actively try to lose. by adding this, they are effectively putting you in the place of a man who is racked with guilt over the choices he has made. it also makes the whole "you left your brother behind" thing more effective as well.

Also, while I did justify the game's decision of not allowing you to go against history and letting King Louis go free. My stance really didn't age well when the game suddenly decides to throw an evil zombie brother trying to take over France.
Either that or France's history is *WAY* more random than I realized. If so maybe that's why the devs had such a fixation on dice rolls.

@@kgspvgsp7569 Should I just type in my own language so no understands, instead of committing mistakes like everyone does online?
I'm sorry if it seems like I tried to "sound smart" or pretentious. But I kinda feel inclined to using words i just learnt or words that i don't often use

This also just shows how much of a genius Lukas Pope is and how much a masterpiece Papers Please is.
It's not easy, and it seems this game came close but didn't fulfill on the promise.

You can win the dice game, and save your son's hand.

Good review. There's been a lot of indie games coming up with interesting gameplay but limited by story (like this is the police 2)

Delaunay triangulation? Nnnno, that's not it. Should i explain what's wrong with that idea? I'm not sure i have the willpower to do so.
However the look might have been partially inspired by looking at Delaunay samples or diagrams made from random points, this is possible, but unless that's something that developers said themselves, that's not something that is to be assumed.

It's kind of sad to think Destroy All Humans 1, a comedic and action filled game, had a better "convince the crowd" mechanic than this game.

    One question on the game.
Does it txt based or audio speech based to play?

Just like *This is the Police*, game focuses too much on narrative and too little on gameplay.
Just like Police, sheer linearity also ruins it for me. You will became a power-hungry, corrupt man no matter what you do.
I also think doing so many things at the same time results in game not being great at anything.

Hey Luke I haven't picked this game up, but I wanted to ask.
Do you think this game is forcing a political agenda or is politically pandering?
The mention of some of the late game systems and plot devise (mainly the women's suffrage) gives that impression.
Because I didn't even realize that during the French Revolution that "women's suffrage" was going on. Not something they taught in any history class I've ever been in. Just that it was the entire commoner against the entirety of royalty.
