I’m new to your channel I came from send it Steve channel can’t wait until you start this build no matter witch way you go it’s going to be awesome keep up the great work
It doesn't look to bad.some body just got in over their experience level and dumped it it looks like to me....as long as you're interested in building it,i think it could be neat done especially with an ls in it.good job Danny.
The transfer case is definitely the original from factory, also the distributor is from the throttle body injection. The multi port has the spark plug wires coming out from the sides. I have a 94 s10 extended cab with the throttle body injection. However you build this its going to be a awesome truck.
It looks like they built a pavement pounder not a trail rig, that's why the front axle is on the spring to give it a softer ride. Once you put the spring over it's going to be a rough ride even with the engine and trans in it I don't think it will be enough weight for those springs. And watch how high you go cause these trucks are prone to flipping the higher they are because of the wheelbase length but im Looking forward to seeing what you do with it though
See your perfect for that S10 you can save it and make it look awesome and my goodness did you say 44s that thing will look like a mini monster truck I can't wait to watch this build
Speaking of rear-view mirrors.🤔 My rearview mirror fell off twice in my 94 chevy Cheyenne truck.... So I just screwed it up onto my headliner... I made a tiny hole in my headliner and used as self-taping screw into to the metal to hold it up. 👍 It's up higher and works but it won't fall off again. 🤣
Im a big S10/Sonoma/Blazer/Jimmy fan an cant wait to see what you do with this also need to watch your videos on your turbo full size i have a 06 cat eye 1500 5.3 that needs more POWER!!!!! LOL
Nice base for this project, always enjoyed the 3 -S10/blazers 4x4's I've had, would love to have another, this time a V8 street truck. I personally would make the front springs hard mounted in front and put shackles as the rear hangers. I know the old Jeeps had it in the front, but IMO, I think my 87 K5 handled better with shackles in the rear than my 80 CJ5 with shackles up front.
I have a 94 Chevy Silverado Suburban and I'm wanting to put a 6 inch lift with 20s on it and change the front and rear bumpers and headlights and taillights on it they have a kit with headlights, taillights, and 3rd brake light on eBay for $131 unlike Napa that wants $230-$250 for headlights and another $230-$250 for taillights so saves $400 or so to go on eBay
i dont know if danny reads these, but the 98 dash wont work in a pre98, from all of the checking ive done, the firewalls look different, BUT, if danny does it, then i would LOVE to see it happen so i know what to do to my 96 cause i would love to upgrade my interior, i already tried with seats, and the seat rails are wider, and longer, and the brakets dont have the same bends
Danny put a 700r4 old style with a TV shift cable. Forget the 350 or 400 the 4 speed will give you a lot more speed. I have built a lot of 700r4 for mud trucks and race cars.
Unless someone changed the front grill to earlier model, that's a 94-97 model year. I hate those rear bumpers also. Roll pans are cheap and easy for those.
I've got a 99 xtreme single cab, stepside. I need a good gray dash if you have one. I'll pay for shipping. I'll pay for the parts. Also need a sliding back window.
slow_restoration how much for the back window? Shipping to Florida,34609. If you find a great dash, let me know. I don’t even care what color. Everything in Florida is cooked and cracked from the sun. And thank you.
I got a question?. On a 98 Chevy Silverado... How would you bypass or plug-off the front brake hose to get the truck home....Cause the brake keeps locking up... Just wondering?. 🤔
I would highly recommend not driving it like that, it would be easy to put a caliper and or hose on then your safe! Or get it towed. There are ways but definitely last resort, like if you're on a trail, but it's not safe to drive on the road.
@@slow_restoration ...I Got the "bright idea"🤦 to go look at my parts truck and I figured it wouldn't work after looking at it. 🤔... It would just tear up more stuff to replace.😕
I just turned to your channel and recognize you from saving Steve. Just kidding . I enjoy his videos and look forward to yourz. Cheers mate.
nice truck!!! Love the s-10's especially the 1982-1993 first gens.
Love watching every video man. Life changing motivation thanks.
Thanks, glad you like them!
Rockin with yah! doing a SAS on my square body in the spring (no garage driveway warrior) keep up the details, love it!!

Welcome to the channel!

Thanks, agreed!
looks like a good start to whatever you want to do with it. cant wait to see what that is
A lot of possibilities and directions to go!
sweet I have a 91 s10 that I might play around with at some point could be fun to ls swap

Thanks for the info! I'm excited for this one!

I hope u do build this
Cool cant wait to see what you do
Great vid
Thanks for the support!
I would love to see an S10 build
Coming soon!
Can’t wait to see the build you should take the white strip off the side
Thanks, it's actually silver and painted on! It's not for everyone but its got a vintage look to it!
See your perfect for that S10 you can save it and make it look awesome and my goodness did you say 44s that thing will look like a mini monster truck I can't wait to watch this build
When it's done. I wanna see him race the monster S10 with send-it Steve's monster Corvette. 🤔
Not sure if we will go that big but it would be cool!
Well hopefully you will L.O.L

Nice solid s-10 be a great platform for an awesome build
It's not bad! I'm liking it!

I definitely would have changed that too, but it's there now. We'll see!
Sweet video! The S10 will look sick when its done:)
The blue looks nice on it! Incorporate the color in your final paint👍
Love to have that t-case
I would love to sell it cheap to you, are you local?

2wd early astrovan box and high steer. Built 3 sas 1st gens with a waggy front axle.
Thanks for the info!
Lq4 and some 60s. Lol you will definitely have lots of content.

I'm going to check into it!
I can almost bet the front axle isn’t welded in straight

Hard to beat even a stock 4L80e!
When you run a computer controlled engine and transmission
Unless someone changed the front grill to earlier model, that's a 94-97 model year. I hate those rear bumpers also. Roll pans are cheap and easy for those.
Yeah, it's a 1994. I like a roll pan also.
As long as you don't find any🦆duck-tape and zip-ties? 🤣
I would ditch the 350/400 for a NV4500/5600 for better gearing. Unless you’re doing a sbc or LS swap
Would like to see it with 44s and street legal which ever way you go with it it will be awesome
Thanks!
I think you should do mud truck or trailer truck
Would be a cool 35 or 37, but 44 be lierlt much for it, cool start
Yeah, I know! I just want 44's! Probably won't though.
44's Yes!
That would be huge! When I started fitting the 35's they looked bigger than I thought!
@@slow_restoration Yeah it looks good with the 35's , what year is that s10? Love that body style
Looks like you have a few things to address, but overall seems like good platform
It's definitely a starting point!
slow_restoration yes sir
Front axle is NOT from a Wagoneer... 70's - mid 80's Jeeps were passenger side drop, so the pumpkin would be on the passenger side like older GMs.
Looks like the 1980- 1991 is a drivers side drop, earlier ones were passenger side.
Current performance sells them for 94 and up.
I've got a 99 xtreme single cab, stepside. I need a good gray dash if you have one. I'll pay for shipping. I'll pay for the parts. Also need a sliding back window.
I do have a sliding back window, the dash I have but has some cracking.
slow_restoration how much for the back window? Shipping to Florida,34609. If you find a great dash, let me know. I don’t even care what color. Everything in Florida is cooked and cracked from the sun. And thank you.
14 bolt Dana 60 and a big block
Was this a 2wd originally? Chevy Astro steering box puts the pinion pointed forward and will fix the steering linkage issues.
It was 4 wheel originally. I'm probably going to do a aftermarket cross steer!

You can do a lot of things with an LS as power .. move the gas-tank in the bed unless it’s puncture proof, and put a snorkel on it just Incase.
They're amazing, endless possibilities!
LS with bed mounted turbo and a 4l80 if it'll fit with 38s
Solid build plans!
what happened to the full frame restoration s10
Still have it, updates soon!
wow someone didnt no what thay was doing .sky offroad makes a kit for the s10 .i used the kit on my s10 blazer and got 44inch super swompers on it
I think it was built a long time ago!
Why not 4bt? LS is over done ether way makes me wanna find something along the same lines midsize and do a 4bt
It all comes down to horse power to $ ratio!
@@slow_restoration I know they are real toquey not so much on the horses
And of course 44s
Gus's they didn't know how to make shock extensions
Ls turbo build on 35x13.50 wide super swampers!!!!!
Put a big block in it
The LS is so much cheaper and makes great power!
You can give it to me LoL 😜😋😉
The next giveaway! 👌
