These lyrics were absolutely life changing for me when I heard them... It made me realize that I had power over my mind, but at the same time I didn't kill my mind like a noose would, but rather I led it to where I wanted it to go instead of it controlling me.

It’s not the end. No one concludes a 10 year story with a riser. A riser, musically speaking, is a tool to lean into what’s next. It creates a swell to match the intensity of what’s COMING AFTER. There was a bass and a synth that made up the sound, and the bass was following a tempo which makes me convinced it’s the start of another song… another ALBUM??? “You tell me, does this sound like the end to you?”
This makes me cry. Thank u even if u meant it more lightheartedly. My 16 yr old Gabe passed away from bipolar 2 depression after a lifetime of fighting to get him the medical care he needed. This was his fav band. I have gotten way into their music since loosing him. We need to save all we can. I fought so hard for so long. It is a war.
What I feel like the last 3 albums represent: Trench: Stuck in depression (Trench). Scaled and Icy: Escaped the depression (Trench) but not actually really escaped it, more like masking it, everything looks so happy and unreal but really still stuck in Trench (depression), could also be linked to medicating the depression. Clancy: Accepting depression and the majority of the time free from it (Trench) but occasionally it comes back and is always still there, you never fully escape Trench but there are ways to cope with it.
Sometimes we all forget that everything in this lore is allegory for mental health battles and that everything has a meaning in these videos. The battle between the banditos and the zombies is such a powerful example of how you can be pulled toward the neon gravestone (knowing you could be revered) vs staying alive using the support of your loved ones. Those thoughts battle each other constantly. Obviously the CGI and the epic battle is amazing, but the undertones of what that battle really means is terrifying and awe-inspiring.
I feel sad for the zombies because they were young people who stopped their lives and they are being used to fight. Mental health and dark thoughts are a daily battle. A big hug for everyone who is fighting every day.
Such a great story. I think the whole story is the battle between religion (the Dogmatic kind - the dead kind - the expression of religion that judges and divides - the false light) vs. the living kind (the flame that brings heat, truth, life, and love). So poetic that the undead use their neon gravestones to fight the banditos (outlaws, rebels, sinners, heathens (my favorite gospel song) while carrying their torch (Car, a Torch a Death is so great! the vessel that carries the heart of God in that song - so good - and how it always gets smaller throughout...). And no, this is not the end, but the eternal beginning.
Is it strange that at 4:13 I just adore this scene? Even though it's just Josh, his face and everything, I genuinely don't know why I find this sequence endearing, but it is.
For me personally this song is the best piece of art they have ever produced, simply peak of their music career if we may say. The melody, the lyrics, the awesome and nostalgic sound design, the piece of hope in the synergy of that music with those lyrics. The song itself hit me so hard from the first listen during the stream and became my favourite on the album and now it did hit even more with the video. Would be a perfect end to a story they've been telling through the years, hope it's not though. Just love this band.

The fight is every day, and having the people who know you and love you the most be there for you and you for them as you bravely face the enemy head on.
This is how life is. We defeat demons, overcome trials, etc, ready to face more-and sometimes old ones creep back in. There is no Tyler without both Clancy and Blurryface. We need to keep close whatever and whomever is our support-faith, partner, family, friends, the strength we have developed in fighting through previous trials, the support we give to others, finding and following our purpose. We all can shoot for orange! But we can’t do that if we give up; if we leave.

Honestly, kinda happy with this ending. When Nico grabbed hold of Clancy in the past, Clancy would be recaptured and fall back into Dema. However, this time, Nico grabbed Clancy, who struggled for a moment before staring Nico down without giving into him. The way it seems to me, Clancy and the Banditos didn't necessarily "win," but they are able to take control and fight back without giving in to the power of the bishops. Quite beautiful.
Yea considering lot of their music and lore is about mental health and life challenges I am perfectly fine if it ends like this. Because like in real life - its a never ending story and cycle, you can overcome a lot but hey, usually still something pops up and its a constant battle. There is basically no life without a bishop or Nico. And in the end Tyler did not give in, like we cant give up!
A lot of the Clancy album is about not wanting to “backslide”, falling into your same old patterns of behavior. I think there will be sequel where we see Clancy successfully fighting off Nico.

This is how life is. We defeat demons, overcome trials, etc, ready to face more-and sometimes old ones creep back in. There is no Tyler without both Clancy and Blurryface.
We need to keep close whatever and whomever is our support-faith, partner, family, friends, the strength we have developed in fighting through previous trials, the support we give to others, finding and following our purpose. We all can shoot for orange! But we can’t do that if we give up; if we leave.
This is what I've understood watching the mv. Thanks. We are who we are because of our light and dark, our angels and demons. We have to keep on fighting.

Honestly, kinda happy with this ending. When Nico grabbed hold of Clancy in the past, Clancy would be recaptured and fall back into Dema. However, this time, Nico grabbed Clancy, who struggled for a moment before staring Nico down without giving into him. The way it seems to me, Clancy and the Banditos didn't necessarily "win," but they are able to take control and fight back without giving in to the power of the bishops. Quite beautiful.
Yea considering lot of their music and lore is about mental health and life challenges I am perfectly fine if it ends like this. Because like in real life - its a never ending story and cycle, you can overcome a lot but hey, usually still something pops up and its a constant battle. There is basically no life without a bishop or Nico. And in the end Tyler did not give in, like we cant give up!

A lot of the Clancy album is about not wanting to “backslide”, falling into your same old patterns of behavior. I think there will be sequel where we see Clancy successfully fighting off Nico.

i feel like, maybe even if its not true, the message they would/should put out there is that you can do it and you shouldnt stop trying and you shouldnt ever give up your battles
