I feel like after Tøp more and more artists are starting to add lore to their works. Bring Me The Horizon is cooking something with their Post Human releases and it has similar elements to Tøp's story, evil cults and all.
My chemical romance did it over 3 albums. But their story was much more interpretable. They tried to go for something more akin to this with danger days but it didn't do well

when trench was released back in 2018, my younger sister Leah and i woke up early to listen to it before school. we bonded over this band for years and we were so excited once the cryptic clues started coming out for sai in 2021. she took her own life a week before the first single of the album was released. since then i've had such a bittersweet feeling listening to sai. i went to both tours, feeling mournful that i couldn't experience it with her. and now with clancy coming out, im able to connect with my youngest sister, elizabeth, about the one thing that connected all 3 of us. i'll be bringing her to this next tour (assuming there's a detroit date) and im so grateful for tyler and josh for continuing to go above and beyond and connect us in a way that didn't seem possible 3 years ago. Leah might not have been able to see the everything come together on this plane of existence, but i know she would have loved every second of these eras just like i do. thank you ❤️
at the very end when josh/torchbearer is pulling the boat onshore, tyler/clancy looks very solemn, but then you can see him give this small knowing smile. at the last moment.
The entire song is amazing, but my jaw dropped with the intro, they sampled Leave the city on a higher key, then the message in multiple langages, then Wlecome back to Trench, then THEY SAMPLED BANDITO, and then JOSH ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED THOSE DRUMS. I can also speak about the lore SO MUCH, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.

I've never seen a band have such a big audience full of so many from every generation. I'm 44 and this is my favorite band. My kids got me into them. And now my 8 year old son is a ginormous fan! Love how Tyler shows how he fights the elite in the music industry. Fantastic beautiful music!

I can agree that I think that the power and control that Clancy gets from seizing may go to his head... but I don't think that Clancy will ever become a villain. I do think that the struggle with himself in that sense will be a a major theme in the album though, which will be pretty cool to see/hear.
The last scene 3:58 is referencing “Hometown”. “I know, I know you can bring the fire, I can bring the bone. I know, I know you'll make the fire, my bones will make it grow." Tyler has the antlers, which are bones. Josh brings the fire when the boat comes a shore at 4:03 Genius.
This feels incredibly full circle for me. When trench first came out I was in the throes of drug addiction and I spent hours listening to theories and the lore and watching the music videos trying to make connections. I accredit a lot to that album. It was with me on my journey through sobriety and now I've been clean since December 2019. This is going to be amazing!

The rest is illegible but sounds kind of French. I can clearly hear the word "guerre" which means "war".

when trench was released back in 2018, my younger sister Leah and i woke up early to listen to it before school. we bonded over this band for years and we were so excited once the cryptic clues started coming out for sai in 2021. she took her own life a week before the first single of the album was released. since then i've had such a bittersweet feeling listening to sai. i went to both tours, feeling mournful that i couldn't experience it with her. and now with clancy coming out, im able to connect with my youngest sister, elizabeth, about the one thing that connected all 3 of us. i'll be bringing her to this next tour (assuming there's a detroit date) and im so grateful for tyler and josh for continuing to go above and beyond and connect us in a way that didn't seem possible 3 years ago. Leah might not have been able to see the everything come together on this plane of existence, but i know she would have loved every second of these eras just like i do. thank you ❤️

The entire song is amazing, but my jaw dropped with the intro, they sampled Leave the city on a higher key, then the message in multiple langages, then Wlecome back to Trench, then THEY SAMPLED BANDITO, and then JOSH ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED THOSE DRUMS. I can agree that I think that the power and control that Clancy gets from seizing may go to his head... but I don't think that Clancy will ever become a villain. When trench first came out I was in the throes of drug addiction and I spent hours listening to theories and the lore and watching the music videos trying to make connections. I accredit a lot to that album. It was with me on my journey through sobriety and now I've been clean since December 2019. This is going to be amazing!
