Shouldn't you have the "Rise of the Adversary" card in play? It's the one that details out the whole "When you throw the rune the adversary draws a card" bit, the "When you fail a challenge the adversary gains xp," and "If you end with less than 30 destiny the adversary gains 2xp."

You’re supposed to gain one experience when you lose a challenge. Thanks for the play through.

Hi :) Thank you a great play through and tutorial on how to play Call to Adventure. The game only came on my radar a week ago and I wanted to see how it played before I bought it. I loved the play through, purchased the game, and played through the solo last night. I love it! Thank you :)

Looks like a fun game to play solo for the purpose of creating NPC backgrounds for an RPG. Or for your own character in an RPG. For multiplayer, everyone can create their character stories as a "pre-RPG" activity and go into the RPG with more detail without having to make up random bits and pieces. Can also use the buildup of certain traits to place emphasis on those abilities when creating an RPG character, which may also lean into various available classes. I like it. Thanks for the video.

That's a great idea! Roll Player would work in a similar way too, though maybe not with as much story

When is it the adversarys turn? Is it just when u roll the triangle symbols on the rune?

I just got it and I'm excited to play it. But weren't you supposed to earn three more exp after you finished that first hero card? But thanks for the play through! It helped a lot!

Do the adversaries which were not selected as the main one are shuffled back in to the act cards or are they removed from the game?

In the solo variant they are removed, only the chosen "boss" adversary is present on the table.
(Solo rules at Page 10: "Choose One Adversary: Set aside all Adversary cards,
then randomly select one as your Adversary.")

I seem to be missing that victory conditions card from my box...couldn't find it anywhere, first time ever playing, and im playing the adversary and then a thought comes to me, how does he win the game? Then I am looking things up online and apparently he has "life" in the form of experience, that also acts as "experience" and when he reaches a certain amount I lose? That would've been nice to know, but the rule book does not even mention this in it, nor does it explain that card at all...does the core set not include this card?

Not only that, but the rule book also states that the adversary should start with 5 experience tokens for solo play +2 for every additional player, so...I am really confused by this at this point.

Good video! I played solo and it was very boring! I’ll wait to play with others
