Paul is a great guy... This is one of those once in a lifetime things, canoe on Lake Manly. Crow Bar Saloon is looking great...hamburgers looked splendid. Thanks Sarah and Paul.
Lake Manly is 6 miles long, 3 miles wide and up to 2 feet deep. You could almost bring a "floatie" with you again . LOL What a pleasant surprise with Paul and his canoe, he is ready for anything cause he's a Marine. Nice lunch stop at the world famous Shoshone Crowbar Cafe . Great visit there Sarah. Enjoy your next trip south.
@@hestheMaster7 Miles long was at it's largest. Mountain snow melt? I suppose that would depend on the watershed of the mountain. I believe it was the torrential rains. Wind evaporates the water faster, but yes, the wind actually pushed a lot of the water to the end in the direction the wind was blowing. Pretty amazing stuff.
As someone who grew up a half hour from the Atlantic ocean I've had enough of sand and salt water, my father loved taking me and my two sisters to Sandy Hook New Jersey Island Beach State Park or seaside every chance he had, my mother would make sandwiches a gallon of iced tea we'd load up te old DeSoto with chairs umbrellas toys everything we needed for a day at the beach, when we ot home we'd all take turns taking a bath in our clawfoot tub with the same water, we didn't have a shower.
Hey Wonderhussy!👋🥰 At 6:49 Back in the late 60's and early 70's, my Dad and I would move our Aluminum, Grumman Sport canoe from the truck to the water with a wheel set up that would clamp to the back transom. (You can hang an outboard motor on the Grumman as it has a flat transom at the rear)! People would look at us a little funny too, but we didn't give care about what they thought, we were having a great time all over Oregon and Washington states! Was about 12 years old one summer when we were out on a Lake, when we had a conversation with 2 young women (College) in their canoe. My Dad definitely scored some points with me that day by going over to talk to them, as they were both Topless! 😁 Good Dad! 👍 Mike in San Diego. 🌞🎸🚀🖖
I heard that lake had about a foot of water in it, and instantly thought of you. Glad you got to go on it. Also heard you might get more rain. Thanks for taking us along Sarah!
This was a nice adventure vlog. Interesting that the basin is filled with all the rain coming into the desert. It is a sight to see the water in this lake. It was fun seeing you both having fun and a great meal afterwards. Best wishes and regards! Looking forward to the next adventure soon! 😀🤙!
I really enjoyed this episode. How intriguing is the reappearance of Lake Manly. Wowsers I say! Well done WH & Paul for providing such fantastic content.❤
Kudos to Paul for Paul, for being such a trooper, for going the distance to the water & back ~ ! Not every adventure has a triumphant ACT III. Keep the adventures rolling & Carpe’ Diem ~ !
Great video except that I was a little concerned regarding wear and tear on Paul's feet. Hope his "landing gear" heals up pretty quick. Anyway, I found this very interesting. Thanks to Sarah and Paul for inviting us along, and much love from northeast Missouri.
At 16:06 I got a glimpse of Death Valley Root Beer. That is made in Inyokern. It tastes like A&W used to taste in the 50's! Delicious. You need to also try their Vanilla cream soda. Made with REAL cane sugar.
It was good seeing Paul again!!! Poor guy I hope his feet healed! That looked painful. You made me laugh in this video 😂 but you always do that! That food looked good!!!!
Very nice outing . Could become a regular event. The Death Valley Regatta. Another Wonderhussy Spectacular. 😮 Since your boots are only good for draining pasta now, you may as well cut 'em down to cover your feet when wading. Thanks Sarah
Hey wonder Hussey, thanks for all the great adventures slim potato head is out in New Mexico. You should go show him how it’s done lol have a meet and greet yeah !
I spent a lot of time at Death Valley in the late 70's and the place was deserted hardly ever saw anyone for days. Now looking at recent videos of Death Valley it looks like a zoo now.
One summer years back a man walked away from his car and hiked out on that hard salt field of salt crystals and collapsed from the heat. When the search team found him he was of course dead. But the amazing thing is what state it was said his body was found in. The water in his body was said to had been drawn off by the salt beds he was laying on. It was said he was so dry his bones could be heard to rattle inside his body as they carried him off. Or so I heard.
My late father was on the board of directors of Cummins Engine manufacturing company. I have a cottage on Sebago Lake, Standish, Maine, US. Sebago Lake is Portland Maine water supply. It is 316 feet deep in deepest place. 49-feet below sea level.....
That's the way adventures work. There is always at least one unknown element you didn't expect, and you have the choice to either embrace it or not. Either way, it almost always makes for a great story. Thanks, Sarah and Paul, for letting all of us tag along. You both made it far more fun than one might have expected.
I was just thinking you should get yourself a couple of kayaks a canoe or two. Love you Sarah take care be safe don't drowned only because it's less than a foot deep
When I heard that I knew you’d be doing a video about it. They say it’s expected to stay around for a while, but it is shrinking and getting harder to kayak in!
I was there on that Saturday of that weekend and the water was just below my knees. I was thinking "it HAS to be the wind blowing the water away, THAT much couldn't have evaporated in 2 days!!!"
Badwater is also the start of a 135 mile ultramarathon that goes to the top of Mount Witney representing the lowest and highest points of California. Semper Fi
Three (3) Wonderhussy videos this week!!! I'm in heaven.
Lake Manly. Itchy boots is pretty good too.
In 15,000 years may your foot prints still be there. Thanks Paul and Hussy, that was alot of work...but fun too.
That was a super funny video. Paul is such a character. I'm glad that you recognized his veterans status. Stay blessed
The Death Valley Yacht Club is back and better than ever! ⛵️
What a great guy!!! We all need handsome friends like Paul.
Wasn't much water........ But it's still an adventure!!!!😂👍👏🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

It actually got to be 7 miles long. Apparently a 'mile' has already evaporated. LOL
@@jazzcatt Could be the wind and some extra mountaintop melting adding to the amount.

Wherever people congregate you can find a vendor selling trinkets or food, I'm surprised no vendor was there. Your vlogs always make me happy!
..Agree ,,WH needs to set up a kool-aid stand ..
I've seen people selling water. Plus it's a national park.
What a nice adventure with Paul! Thanks, Sarah!
Great video Wonderhussy!!😂❤
You have the coolest friends lol looks like a sort of good time minus the sore feeties
LOVE AN LIGHT
Now that was a very good adventure. Next Paul and Wonder hussy will be on the Discovery channel.
Yea!🎉 Another wonderful trip.
Paul was the star of this vlog , Good job Paul.
That was the longest boat ramp I have ever seen. But it was a once in a lifetime experience to canoe on a dry salt flat!
We have a canoe and that looked exhausting. Nancy
ha! i haven't heard the work 'Raunchy' in decades! i love it.
also am enamored with your adventures. thanks!
Once again Wonderhussy nailed another cool video .
How awesome to be able to be boating in Death Valley.
BAUTIFUL !!!!
I bet Lake Manly will be sticking around for quite a while given how much water there must be in the whole Amargosa river watershed.
Hey Wonderhussy!👋🥰

Finally got to see this . . ..
Despite all the challenges on that paddle adventure you gotta admit you had a "boat load" of fun! 😊
Oh my, how fun it was. Good people and good times Sarah. Love your adventures!
Great show
🍀Another great adventure. Thanks.
Paul is cool and that cafe makes nice burgers
galoshes are technically over boots (pulled over work boots)
irrigators are rain boots (with crew socks underneath)
The clouds are something else. Second time watching this…love it…thank you
Paul is great. I love this!!!
Paul knows his beer.
Thanks Paul , what a guy
Ancient lakes are so fascinating.
Amazing how much rain it takes to fill up that lake. Great video, and many thanks to Paul.
Paul Your a BAAdass and I envy you for being hanging with Wunderhussy
Thanks Sarah 😊❤
Hopefully Lake Manly will fill up even deeper we all can really enjoy the lake there in Death Valley.... yippie. 😂
I was wondering when you were going to do this! At least you got to float on something that doesn't exist most of the time!
We love Death Valley. We also love the Crowbar. I'm jealous!
thanks
Love love love as usual. The last time I went to Death Valley was in 1979; I need so badly to go back there
I heard that lake had about a foot of water in it, and instantly thought of you. Glad you got to go on it. Also heard you might get more rain.
Thanks for taking us along Sarah!
Bonus video from WH. Nice

I’m with you about root beer floats! Great canoe adventure. And thanks for the review of the Crowbar- I’ll stop by next time.

Now That's a great looking Burger.
You entertain me. Thank you. 😄
I like how the tablecloths are blue on one side of the restaurant and red on the other, lol
How highs the water momma? two inches and rising? to fun thank you ALL stay safe
You all did it great job.
That was fun. You'll have to show us what the lake looks like when it dries.

ikr 😉
Hello from Colorado
That's the way adventures work. There is always at least one unknown element you didn't expect, and you have the choice to either embrace it or not. Either way, it almost always makes for a great story. Thanks, Sarah and Paul, for letting all of us tag along. You both made it far more fun than one might have expected.
Canoeing in the desert? why not? Rock on!! Thank you Paul all your arduous efforts.
I love the crowbar , gosh darn I wish work wasn’t taking my time I want to paddle Lake manly . I did get to paddle Owens Lake which was legendary .
I was just thinking you should get yourself a couple of kayaks a canoe or two. Love you Sarah take care be safe don't drowned only because it's less than a foot deep
Sara, you and Paul make an excellent couple!!
When I heard that I knew you’d be doing a video about it. They say it’s expected to stay around for a while, but it is shrinking and getting harder to kayak in!
Haha. Everyone has to go to Lake Manly!
You the man Paul!
It's great to see Neil Young back on the channel.
I was there on that Saturday of that weekend and the water was just below my knees. I was thinking "it HAS to be the wind blowing the water away, THAT much couldn't have evaporated in 2 days!!!"
I like to "put in where I can" too! lol!
Badwater is also the start of a 135 mile ultramarathon that goes to the top of Mount Witney representing the lowest and highest points of California. Semper Fi
You’re pretty much the African Queen of the Desert! Hepburn & Bogart would be jealous.
You might as well throw those galoshes away those leaks don't ever heal up by themselves and they are pretty much worthless with holes in them
Or maybe you could try Flex Seal but that stuff would probably cost as much as a new pair of boots
Yes you need a new pair of “wellies”!!! 😃
Actually we used bicycle tube patch years ago on waders and had great results... (I guess it depends on the budget)😉
I'm glad you got to take the plunge in the temporary lake Wonderhussey! Ahoy !
They're essentially ga-"losses" at this point 😂
I had the experience of enjoining WonderHussy in her prime. Lovely wonderful fun woman !!!!
You absolutely crack this old man up! Lmao
