Awesome hope your build is going well! Quite the process! Remember a lot of the contractors have "their way" of doing things, so if you want something specifically done your way, make sure you're there supervising. Sometimes my vision doesn't match...
Nice project. I use a Joy Charcoal Stove. Can place it everywhere I want. You even have more simple versions of it...but all originates from clay pots. If you paint the concrete, what could you paint/spray on top for more protection??
The wood ceiling also helps with the heat. If we just went direct the tin corrugated roof it really heats up! Just like upstairs on the deck. Eventually we'll do it up there too! Thanks man!

Any problems with rodents having a dirty kitchen?
We don't leave any cooking supplies out there and keep the grill closed. Haven't seen any obvious signs of any rodents.
