Kirsty, I would just like to say how absolutely brilliant you are! You've given me the confidence to try out DIY projects for myself, and I love the fact that you give tips and hacks on how to do these projects on a budget! Keep up the great work! It's going to be a wonderful space for your friends and family to enjoy! Fab job! 👌 😊
Hi Kirsty this is a great idea as an alternative to a worktop / concrete mould. Install could be easier with some 6mm ply board between base and tile (would stop lippage and increase contact) also use a larger, more uniform bead of adhesive 👍🏻 looks great, hope you enjoy!
My husband suggested the same. I thought about it, but thought I’d get people saying it would go rotten underneath. I think it is something that would work well 🙏👍
@@kirstygriffiths749 that's true, maybe tile backer board would be best! Depending on budget. I should point out that I did an IKEA pax hack based on some of your videos for a friend. It turned out amazing so thanks for the inspiration! 😊

That’s great to hear 👍
Looks really nice. Personally I wouldn't use grout. Instead I'd use light grey silicone as it's flexible and weather proof.
That’s a great tip! Thanks. Will have a look at that instead.
Definitely fill with either grout or silicone! Prevent crumbs!
Oh! that’s a very good point !
@@kirstygriffiths749 Forgot to say how lovely it all looks!!
Great job, but the unevenness of the tile makes it look like a DIY project. I would grout it if I was you to give it that seamless, professional look.
It’s is a DIY project ? I may use silicone, been strongly advised against grout. I’m very happy how it looks
