Marion, it's refreshing to hear you say, "I could use glue, but if I can stitch it, I'd rather stitch it." I feel the same way. I love your method it took cloth twine to the next level double needle hold is ingenious and the join in method a great superior hold for not pulling apart that’s one of the reasons why you’re my favourite on UA-cam your sweetness and personality and knowledge and creativity and everything else about you it’s just lovely thank you so much for all that you do much love and appreciation ❤️🥰❤️
I agree with you, Marion explained the cloth twine so clearly and doing the fine one with silk is divine. I managed to do it without it untwisting by following Marion's instructions.

Lovely beads Marion and a much easier way to make fabric twine! Thank you sooo much. You are a constant amazement to me - while I can’t even keep up with watching all your videos, you manage to DO all these things plus keep your garden etc etc etc. 🤯🥰❤
Marion thank you so much for the fabric twining tips. Ive tried the other way and had to give up because it hurts my arthiritic fingers! Your method looks so much easier and I'm definitely going to give it a try. Also your joining method looks much more secure. Always look, forward to your next videos. Thanks again Janet ❤
Hello, glad to hear you are feeling better 😊 your hair cut really suits you, you are looking perkier that's for sure and good to see🤗 well this was a good one for me, a while ago I got my straws out to make some beads, from a tutorial on here, then lost the video that had inspired me 🤦♀️and the cord making looks so fun, but For some reason it had me confused so I have put off attempting to try it. Now with your simple instruction I will definitely have a bash 🤞 I have some heart beads very similar from when I customised my Blythe dolls, pull chords, you make me wish I hadn't ever got rid of anything sometimes 😂 was thinking of the silky scarves I've taken to charity shops in the past, but I'm sure something will will be suitable from my rather huge stash. Have a relaxing evening Marion, thank you for the tutorials. 🤗🌈🌱🍄🌞 oh I started whittling a stick too hehe 😊
You've got lots going on Kim... just like me ☺️ I'm surprised everyone is noticing my hair. I literally cut it myself about half an hour before I did the filming. It took all of 5 minutes 😅

I am now addicted to the bead making, so creative and easy to get going on them, and I have had so much fun. They are turning out so pretty and I cant wait to do the string for the necklace, even my son liked them. I want to make a special necklace for his beloved, future wife. I can't thank you enough for teaching me. It is such a joy. You are a gift to the world.
I totally enjoyed seeing you make your fabric beads! I have made fabric beads in the past, a bit different but I love how yours look👍💕. I have made fabric twine but never used the thin silky fabrics, it looks fabulous! Your anchoring of the twine is great! I don’t have a sewing ham but will improvise something close! love your necklace, having an “ inspirational bead to start with sure is a motivator! Thank you so much for all your tips and suggestions! At the end of your videos you always say thanks for watching, etc! I say back to you, “thank you so much for your generosity, time and joy”🌹
Thanks Diana. Anchoring the twine makes such a difference. If you have nothing to pin it to, maybe try clipping it to something with a hair tie or a bulldog clip or even a pair of pliers and an elastic band!
Marion, I made my very first bead! I used purple velvet and pink thread. Just had to try it even though I am so far behind! I am still stitching leaves for my tree. Drooling over the bee! Thanks for keeping me busy! 😊
@@marionsworld24 you bet I will! Made a spacer bead too, addicting! Adding a bit of grass around the tree. Would love to make a butterfly but a couple of bees work too!
Good morning Marion. I am so enjoying seeing and learning a wonderful variety of creative crafts from you. I have wanted to make fabric beads but never have, now I have a perfect tutorial to make to make some fun fabric beads! Thank you for marking them fun and easy.
Thank you for showing a simpler way to twine. It helps to have the "3rd hand" needles in the ham to hold. The joining method also. I would like a wine to show..or maybe this is enough..I know this helped me.❤
Dearest Marion, thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge and creativity. The way of using the magic ham, double needles, and figure 8. I’d love to hear about your time working in a cordage. They were such a vital part of shipping and other industries. A separate tutorial on your twining method might make it more accessible to more creators. 💕♾💕xo
Hello Janet. I might do a separate video on the twining. There are plenty of them out there though.... I'm not sure if we have crossed wires either... I learned to twined nettle and bramble cordage when I was involved working on a nature reserve. I did all sorts of outdoors nature crafting and used to take people on wild flower identification walks etc.
@@marionsworld24 How interesting, Marion. You are right. I did believe I heard you say you’d worked in a cordage. Twining nettles and brambles sounds tricky and rough on the hands. I’m curious how you then used those twines. All my best, janet
Sorry for the extra comments, But I'm commenting as I watch the video. The colors you have chosen for the beads and twine are beautiful. You are so creative. And yes, you look lovely today.😊♥️
Marion, I just wanted to let you know that I only watch like 3 UA-camrs and you are one of them. So for me, I like it when you introduce things even if someone else on You Tube is showing a method. I would rather have you teach me. ❤
Glad to hear you’re feeling better! Lovely video! I’ve had those beads in my list for a while. You make it look easy-peasy. We should all come over for a bead party!!😂😂😂
Thank you Marion for your video. Your necklace is lovely I am in the middle of wrapping wooden beads in thread but these fabric beads are far prettier. The way to make fabric twine is excellent, I never thought of anchoring it before how sensible. I am glad you are on the mend, this cold does hang around a bit, so keep pampering yourself.
What a wonderful idea! You look nice today..you hairs looks nice too…I think you must be feeling better❤ Your wind twisting is the best I have seen! Thank you!
I think you are on to the real trick with making fabric twine--keeping your fingers a bit damp!! So lovely when the answer is simple and easy to do. In South America the native people make rope from the native grasses essentially the same way and the rope is strong enough to build a foot bridge across great gorges. I have seen this same technique done on a flat surface using a flat hand that rolls across the material that is being made into the twine with the twine held by a bit of painters tape to keep it stable. Love your pretty fabric beads! What a great craft to teach kids this month for Earth Day!!
Yes it's how I learned originally. Flat hand rolling both sides at the same time before letting the cord ply. It's how I learned to make nettle cordage...👍
You weren't kidding about how addictive these beads are....I was varnishing window sils today, and between drying times I was making beads. No other housework got done.😂

Thanks Kathryn. I'm woefully behind on watching yours. Apart from being poorly I've had big problems with the electricity here... Not quite sorted out yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
you are a treasure trove Marion! I just undid a previous cord twine and retwined using your method which gives a much tighter and usable texture. thank you for all your guidance and inspiration.
As hairdressers, my husband and I used to braid women's and girls' hair like the fabric twine. It was called Rope Braiding because its twisted like a rope. Its beautiful.
I loved this Marion, your excitement is infectious and I will definitely have a go! Thanks again for all you share with us, it's a highlight of my week 😊
Just love these beads Marion something I have never done before but will definitely be giving them a go. Your necklace is lovely and the cordage tutorial was very helpful. Thank you once again. ❤
So sorry you ve been unwell Marion and I am glad to hear you are on the mend. I did enjoy your bead tutorial and I need to look again so I understand the twining. It s quite challenging making cordage from nettle etc- my son does it and you have to really concentrate. I was out in a cafe today and I saw they had paper straws on the bar and asked if I might have one. They gave me one and I came home so happy I could have skipped ! 🧡
Yes, I agree with all of the comments, you are so beautiful, inside and out, and the way you teach is a gift that is going to keep on giving, endlessly to all of us around the world. What an accomplishment, to know that your talents are lifting our spirits, and making us more courageous to try new things, new ways of creating. You are the finest gift any of us could hope for in all that you share. These are so wonderful!! I love your necklace and your story.
It's a bit of an odd thing to get used to...that people all over are watching me stitch my things. Up until my channel nobody used to see anything. Except for family and friends I made presents for....
Dear Marion Your beads are gorgeous!! I don't wear necklaces but I like earrings, so you have given me a new idea, thank you so much. Maybe I also want to make something hanging in the window, they are meant for multiple use !! I hope you will recover soon, spring will help❤❤
Hello Marion, that was a really interesting video. Your method of making the twine is a very “user friendly” way of creating it. I suspect that by using both hands, as you demonstrate, also creates a much more even and consistent twine to use in whatever product you want to create. Also, the beads themselves were beautiful. And, again, the variety that can be achieved will complement anything they would be incorporated into. Thank you for sharing these techniques and I will look forward to your next video - but, in the meantime, look after yourself, and get well soon.
I love a statement necklace and this is perfect! ❤ I’ve just remembered, I’ve got some strips that are very narrow, from trimming some patchwork strips, I couldn’t throw them away cos they were so pretty and now I know how to use them up! Thank you.❤ glad you are feeling better x

Interesting to watch your twining method, it also occurred to me that it might be easier for people with hand issues than my way. The beads are beautiful and your hair looks lovely. Glad you are feeling better ❤
Thanks Kathryn. I'm woefully behind on watching yours. Apart from being poorly I've had big problems with the electricity here... Not quite sorted out yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
Oh no, I hope it's nothing major. ❤️
I love these beads! I’m going to have a go and maybe try a bracelet 😊 x
👍
Absolutely wonderful. Such a lovely talented lady. Best videos on UA-cam 💕❤️💕❤️💕
Wow.. thanks so much 💐
Love this Marion, thanks for sharing. Glad you are feeling better🧵💖.
you are a treasure trove Marion! I just undid a previous cord twine and retwined using your method which gives a much tighter and usable texture. thank you for all your guidance and inspiration.
Brilliant. I'm pleased it worked out better for you..
As hairdressers, my husband and I used to braid women's and girls' hair like the fabric twine. It was called Rope Braiding because its twisted like a rope. Its beautiful.
👍
Great project. Thank you for sharing.
I so enjoy watching you, Marion. And I love your techniques!
😊
Your new hairstyle looks amazing.🤩it‘s good to hear that you feel better👋🏼🇩🇪
💐
I loved this Marion, your excitement is infectious and I will definitely have a go! Thanks again for all you share with us, it's a highlight of my week 😊
Just love these beads Marion something I have never done before but will definitely be giving them a go. Your necklace is lovely and the cordage tutorial was very helpful. Thank you once again. ❤
You're welcome Anne 😊
So sorry you ve been unwell Marion and I am glad to hear you are on the mend. I did enjoy your bead tutorial and I need to look again so I understand the twining. It s quite challenging making cordage from nettle etc- my son does it and you have to really concentrate. I was out in a cafe today and I saw they had paper straws on the bar and asked if I might have one. They gave me one and I came home so happy I could have skipped ! 🧡
Blooming good thrifting there Lesley.. brilliant!😊
Marion, you look great and glad you are feeling better. Loved the video today, such a cool necklace. As always, your creativity is amazing!🥰
💐
Yes, I agree with all of the comments, you are so beautiful, inside and out, and the way you teach is a gift that is going to keep on giving, endlessly to all of us around the world. What an accomplishment, to know that your talents are lifting our spirits, and making us more courageous to try new things, new ways of creating. You are the finest gift any of us could hope for in all that you share. These are so wonderful!! I love your necklace and your story.
It's a bit of an odd thing to get used to...that people all over are watching me stitch my things. Up until my channel nobody used to see anything. Except for family and friends I made presents for....
Beautiful tutorial Marion, thank you! And your hair looks great!🍀💖
☺️ thanks Machteld
Dear Marion
Your beads are gorgeous!!
I don't wear necklaces but I like earrings, so you have given me a new idea, thank you so much.
Maybe I also want to make something hanging in the window, they are meant for multiple use !!
I hope you will recover soon, spring will help❤❤
Sounds great Karen..
Glad your feeling better, love the fabric beads & twine, will be having ago at making beads ❤❤
Oh, beautiful! I want to do this. Next shopping for silk scarfs. Thank you for a great tutorial! ❤
Thanks Angela 💐
I love a statement necklace and this is perfect! ❤ I’ve just remembered, I’ve got some strips that are very narrow, from trimming some patchwork strips, I couldn’t throw them away cos they were so pretty and now I know how to use them up! Thank you.❤ glad you are feeling better x
Ooh I hope it makes the most wonderful swine
Love your necklace ❤ and your new haircut!
💐😊
So joyous
So many ideas. ❤
Thank you lovely Marion.
And respect to you battling through.
I live in NZ. I like to think my ancestors sounded like you way back when. We hark from Normanton.
I certainly see you do and talk about things in such a heartwarmingly familiar way.
😊💐
Brilliant love the way you join and use of ham. Beads are beautiful ❤️
Ver y nice hairdo today and great project.
💐
I have been saving the cardboard centres out of the dog poo bag rolls with the idea of making some beads! They are a bit longer than the straws but I’m now excited to try making them, so thank you for showing this. Your necklace looks so lovely. ❤❤😊
Aren't they a bit thick possibly?🤔 Although they'd make good large beads for a handbag or journal charm....
