I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this tutorial. I’ve bought my beads and ready to go. I’ve got into this slow stitching rabbit hole…your fault 🤭 and loving it. This is so helpful. Thank you 🌸
You are just the best at teaching - not adding too much chat but enough to get to the point and then move on to the next example. This video is one I'll keep as reference to review as needed. Thanks so much! I appreciate you.
Thank you so much for that Sarah, it was wonderful, and such a lovely design too!. Beadwork is something I have always looked at from afar, thinking how nice it is, but never understanding how to use it so interestingly in an embroidery setting, your 'embroiderers collection' of useful bead techniques has as ever inspired me, but now - and "oh what a personal disaster" (throwing my hands up in gleeful mock dismay) - I will need to go and buy myself a bead stash!!!!xx
Laughing so much at the end of the video (too funny, my mum was a kindergarten teacher) but so much wonderful instruction as always and the fun donut reference along the way too. Cheers, Christine
Loved this video. It's been years since I've done embroidery and cross stitch. I did lots of embroidery, cross stitch and 1 strand petit point. Glad I learned so many skills years ago. I didn't do a lot of beadwork, but am definitely inspired to create with beads, embroidery and other mixed textures.
Thank you so much Sarah and Jonathan for this very enjoyable video. I used to make jewellery to raise funds for a local charity but now I am going to buy some beads to have fun with in my embroidery. I loved all of this and also the choice of music. God bless you both love Vera in Northern Ireland ❤❤
I love bead work. I never thought about couching beads until I saw one of your videos a while ago. It has saved me soooo much time. And you got me in sequins. Which I have discovered are fantastic for creating scales on fish. You can add a bead on top of a sequin for another effect, like you demonstrated with the doughnut 🙂
You are a great artist and you made a very clear tutorial insruction that makes beading stitching easier to understand and make.. Thank you so much. It is inspiring to start and make projects ❤
I really enjoy watching your videos. You're professional without being stuffy. And you're cute without being cutesy or cloying. You're super easy to learn from and I enjoy your subtle British humor (that's coming from a US person with British and other European ancestry.) I'm so glad you've mentioned this video in some of your more recent videos, bringing my attention back to the main reason I became interested in embroidery these last few months to begin with. I've been needle-weaving beads for about 13 years, except for the last 3 years while on a hiatus cuz of life's challenges and inconveniences. I'm so amazed at the bead embroidery I've seen stitched by some of my fellow beaders in other FB groups. I've always hesitated to try it, but you've taken the mystery out of how to bead embroider for me and given me confidence and encouragement to give it whirl now. Thanks so much. Now, I just need to get my hands on a beads collection I ordered about a year ago or more, which will determine my fabric choice. I'm looking forward to incorporating bead embroidery in my Slow stitching project. Like you, I love the texture and dimension made with beads as well as the color they can add.
THIS IS FANTASTIC! I LIKE THIS VIDEO! I DESIGN TOTE, CROSSBODY AND WRISTLET POUCH BAGS AND I WAS LOOKING AT BEADING AND THIS IS REALLY GREAT TO DO! BRAND NEW CRAFT TO ADD TO MY CREATIONS!
Another wonderful video, Sarah, thank you. In case you're not back before the holidays, very best wishes to you, hubby and ginger cat for a happy Christmas, and everything wonderful in the new year. Take care, and happy stitching (and beading), Arleen
😊 I found out about beading a couple of years ago. I've done a couple of Christmas tree ornaments and a couple of butterflies. I have a pattern I'm working on from Mirabilia called Raven Queen that has a lot a beading. She's gorgeous.
You are a wonderful teacher. I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you for the thousands of hours you have invested in making each one for us to enjoy learning from ❤
Oh, Sarah!! Thank you so much! I have always wanted to learn to bead on material! This was an exceptional tutorial as all of your tutorials are! Thanks again!
Sarah, I just subbed, because I just binged watched a bunch of your videos. This one on beads was the one that really hit home. Thank you for sharing your talent. God bless!
What a fantastic tutorial! I was preparing to sift through a stack of videos for some techniques, and here you are covering EVERYTHING I wanted to know for some new projects. Thank you so much for providing free content of such a high standard😁
Absolutely gorgeous Sarah! I have tons of beads I want to use in my embroidery. Your tutorial is very useful. Thank you so much for all your ideas, creativity, professional teaching. Have a great day!
Wow Sarah, this is so beautiful! I am loving your channel and you have been such a big help to me. I've done lots of cross stitch for many years but since finding you I am exploring hand embroidery and loving it. You are a wonderful teacher and I appreciate what you do here. Sending hugs from Massachusetts U.S.A.
Wow Sarah! I love this tutorial, excellent marriage of beads and thread. I am a beader and recently entered the world of embroidery(slow stitching). I love adding beads to my work. You are such an inspiration!
Wow! Sarah, that is so beautiful!! ❤ I'll bet you didn't use up all your beads in that tutorial, but it is magnificently loaded 😂. Thank you so much for sharing.
Sensational! You've set off an explosion of ideas in my head. 🤩 Your renditions of the generous free design and the thread/bead mandala are gorgeous. Great idea to use a stencil. Thank you very much, Sarah! 💖 Hope Jonathan made it to the loo in time. 😯
Lovely video. I did a bead embroidery class through London Embroidery School and was amazed at all the things you can do with beads. After the holidays, I’d love to do this little flower beading project. Love it!
Currently completing my Textiles and Design Major Work for my HSC, with lots of beading. This was very helpful - had no idea you could do so many beads at a time! I was going to do them all singularly so this was a lifesaver
Hi Sarah, you are going to have a wee giggle at me. I downloaded your design of this one, and thought well I will just stitch it with cotton, as a practice piece, however, even though my eyes are on straight, new glasses and all, it does not look a lot like your version at all. Even though I looked at it several times before I started so I could see where to start as I am sure others do. I have created a different design. I actually love yours, but you know what I love my effort too. No beads at this stage, but I might fussy it up a bit at the end.
Love your tutorial! Makes me happy that I was using a couple of your exact methods I’m very interested in your embroidery stand which gives you two hands to use your laying tool. Can you tell us the name brand and where we might get it?
I'm a new sub. I like the way you teach. You're very pleasant, funny sometimes and easy to understand. I do have a question. At 19:51, you have just explained about the tube beads with a round bead on top. The part where you say go right back into the same hole. You said this before as well. If you do that won't you "undo" your work somehow?
I am struggling with sewing beads and flowers on the already made dress because the back doesn't look neat that way. Do you have some video on doing the beads, pearls or 3d flowers on Muslin fabric for example... Or idea how to hide the back of this where uneven thread is showing😊
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this tutorial. I’ve bought my beads and ready to go. I’ve got into this slow stitching rabbit hole…your fault 🤭 and loving it. This is so helpful. Thank you 🌸
Hi i m zia from Pakistan.. I m a hand embroidery designer. And carft man i need a job plz contact me
Ditto hear❤ so grateful for this tutorial and rabbit hole is neverending 😂
You are just the best at teaching - not adding too much chat but enough to get to the point and then move on to the next example. This video is one I'll keep as reference to review as needed. Thanks so much! I appreciate you.
I’ve never really done anything with beads but I learned so much from this video . Thank you for sharing!
I will now and forever appreciate anything that is hand beaded!!! Wow!

It's a slippery slope!
Oh noooo....and you thought fabric stashes were addictive...
Bread are smaller so you can get more...
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery Don't you mean, hide them better? Lol.
But when your husband sees your tiny bag of beads he will be so happy that you didn't spend too much money.😂😅😉 Yep Honey, just a small bag of beads.
Laughing so much at the end of the video (too funny, my mum was a kindergarten teacher) but so much wonderful instruction as always and the fun donut reference along the way too. Cheers, Christine

As a NEWBIE……this indeed looks MAGICAL!

I love this bead video and can’t wait to try. Love your teaching style.
I love your tutorials. Thank you! (I've never seen such beautiful "free" designs) Again, thank you so much!
You are such an extraordinary teacher. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
Really enjoyed your beads video with the different techniques rather than just sewing them on individually.
I love bead work. I never thought about couching beads until I saw one of your videos a while ago. It has saved me soooo much time.

Great instructions on how to bead, not something I've done before so thank you.
Hi, Sarah! So glad to see your new video. It’s a brilliant tutorial: educational, simple, and demonstrative. Thank you! ❤
I love your tutorials! Thanks
You are a great artist and you made a very clear tutorial insruction that makes beading stitching easier to understand and make.. Thank you so much. It is inspiring to start and make projects ❤
Brilliant! Beads are on my new year's list of what to try next! So this is spot on! Thank you, Sarah. Have added this to my "watch again."
Clear a space Kay because once you start buying beads....

The completed projects are so inspiring
Gosh how beautiful. I must try. I wonder if adding a few seed beads to a quilt block and reinforcing them one by one would hold up?
Thank you Professor Hamfray

awesome
Lovely fun! Just a word of caution, bugle beads and faceted crystals can have very sharp edges that can cut the thread so watch your tension!
Hence the beeswax!
Fabulous Sarah thank you so much ❤ I would appreciate some guidance on bead suppliers in the UK ❤
Spellbound and The Bead Shop, Nottingham - both online!
maravilloso
