X-Men: Evolution is an American animated television series based on the X-Men superhero team appearing in Marvel Comics. The series takes inspiration from the early issues of the source material and follows the X-Men as teenagers rather than adults, as they learn to control their developing mutant powers and face various threats. X-Men: Evolution ran for a total of four seasons comprising 52 episodes from November 4, 2000 to October 25, 2003 on Kids' WB, which made it the third longest-running Marvel Comics animated series at the time, behind Fox Kids' X-Men and Spider-Man. The series was aired on Disney XD from June 15, 2009, to December 30, 2011.

Rewatching this show made me remember how much they endeared Kitty to me as a character. Seeing how much she’s matured and progressed in combat as well as a character she’s easily top 3 for me. Also hilarious Logan scolding his daughter Rogue for leaving his younger daughter Kitty behind 😂😂 Half-Pint
Another great episode. It was long overdue for a Kitty-centered episode and the twists were well done.
Danielle Moonstar was 1 of the new mutants in the comics. She was 1 of a few mutants who didn't make the cut in who tptb wanted to use as new students in season 2. But they still wanted to find a way to use her. And like Legion she's also a Claremont creation that xmen tas didn’t tackle, so ofcourse they wanted to do a story with her.
She actually made a connection with everyone on the mountain that's why you saw a version of the logan/Sam plotline through kitty's dream. But since kitty got the closest to her, Danielle's connection with her was the strongest.
Logan chastising rogue was tptb's way of saying that logan taking the kid gloves off with her was a sign that things were starting to get back to normal with her.
Sam getting a subplot here seems like something of an apology by the showrunners in retrospect given he gets the short end of the stick in terms of things to do in the finale.
The calm before the storm has ended, get ready for the finale. 😊
It's fun that since this episode was focused on Moonstar they featured some of the other New Mutants like Cannonball and Sunspot.
This 1 is #37 on my list of favorite episodes.

I did not appreciate this episode as much as a kid, given that this is one of the only (isn't it?) episodes where we see one of the newer mutants recruited.

Besides this daniel moonstar/mirage, The only time someone got to know her character was in 2020 The new mutants, The movie wasn't the best but it did highlight a few characters.

The show was always episodic. The show focused more on character than plot.
