The Hangaround phase varies from club to club, but in my club, we need to see the initiative to make events/rides and reach out to the members. Once he’s coming around often, and he has expressed interest in the club, then that person can be made a handaround after voting on it.
Hey hope you are well. New subscriber here...love your content. I am in my 50s and never been in an MC but would love to be in an MC for the brotherhood and camaraderie it brings. Is 55 too old to prospect for a club ?
Thanks for watching and becoming a subscriber! If you can ride your motorcycle then it’s not too late at all. There are active members in my club in their late 70s.
De lo mioo klk? I just came across your channel and saw that you was from the X & 🇩🇴 like me and as someone who doesn’t ride (or own a bike) but who is fascinated by the lifestyle and hope to one day live it I had to come show love and subbed💪🏽 stay safe manito.
Wepa!! Thanks for the support mi hermano. I will have many more videos coming out for people just like you who aspire to one day get a bike and get into the club life. Cuídate por ahí
@@BxPolymath Most Def bro! let me know how i can send you my info and we can def link up. I was actually outside today for a ride, it was nice. Headed over to Mt Vernon, and back. I know some good food trucks to over by Mahopac!
All it took for me was to just go to the CH. the more you show up the more you are noticed and the more folks you meet. However as a “prospect” you should have already met the president. You should meet the president before your even a hang around tbh
Good info. I have a coworker who is one of the big four MCs. Great guy. Does a great job! He gives me great riding advice. We are friends, but we don’t hang out all the time. We treat each other with the highest respect. According to your advice, I can “announce” to him that I am interested in the club? I can sense that he wants me to ask about joining the club. I have actually already told him that I would like to invite him over to my house soon and talk about his club over a a nice shot of good bourbon. What do you suggest? I don’t know for sure if club life is for me because I am a family man with a wife and children. But I think if I get to the “hang around” phase, I can see for myself if it is for me.
100%. You let him know that you are interested and he will know whether you’d be a good fit or not. I call this the screening process. Members know what to look for in hangarounds/prospects so if you aren’t a good fit, then he will tell you straight up. Also, just know that whatever club you are looking into, you HAVE to commit to the time needed for it. This may mean that some weekends instead of hanging with family, you are with the club. You have to be ready for that
@@BxPolymath Thank you! If anything will stop me, it’s the fact that I love spending time with my wife & son. My biological father was a prospect for one of the BIG FOUR. He left me before I was born. I was raised by my step father. My biological father never gave a damn about me. I can’t imagine not being there for my son during a major game, Jiujitsu match or a major accomplishment. My wife needs me too, but she has her Vegas trips with her girlfriends. I have very few friends and long for the brotherhood and camaraderie that MCs have. I would talk to my wife about this. She has often told me she wishes I had more friends and guys nights out like she has nights with her girlfriends. One thing is I am a new rider and I don’t own a Harley. I bought a nice looking Honda bike for 3k because I could not afford the Harley I want. But another year, I will have saved money and will be ready to have a badass Harley!! Should I still approach my friend/coworker about learning more about his MC? 81!!! I am an Army and Marine Corps Vet!! Miss the brotherhood that I had! I practice on my motorcycle everyday. Want to become a very good rider!
Is it disrespectful to ask what club you are in? Dig your videos a lot. I live on the east coast myself. Was just curious if you minded sharing what club your with. Not looking to be a troll or anything like that bro.
BxPolymath I’m in south Jersey right by the beach. I deff wanna come check out New York one of these days tho. You guys have any good events coming up this summer?
@@Super.Deluxe1 One of the biggest ones is this weekend. Eastcoasting is having their annual party/stunt show in New Haven Connecticut. It's a bit of a drive for you but it's one hell of an event.
Then you have an opportunity to decide if the MC is right for you and a chance for you to give serious thought to how dedicated you feel. If you have doubts or second thoughts, wait a bit until you're sure. Good luck, ride safe!
Of course man. Very few people are golden gloves. You just have to stand up for what you believe in and understand the culture you are in. At the end of the day, bikers aren’t really looking for problems and it’s mainly about respect. You give respect and you will get it back.
you have to be accepted and prove your worth. If you have no discipline and a loose cannon you not worth having. Imagine being broken down. Ring up a prospect. He says he hasn’t got time to help or whatever. He ain’t worth 2 bob .. just an example.
Probably not good to watch these if truly trying to do this sort of thing, because it would be a great way for Google and the feds to assume that watching such things indicates your next move or whatnot.
May I introduce you to the concept of no cellular calls while driving and why? Because there is no difference between a conference on video while driving and talking to someone on the phone in my opinion... And if you research that, focus on the 'why'.
@@morningstarx5340 Very simple and easy answer and since you're too lazy to go check it yourself, I'll tell you: Despite the popular belief, the brain simply can't control two things at the same time. So in reality, what you do when phoning and driving is quickly alternating back and forth between the two activities. This happens fast but the brain gets tired of it quickly and the time between the switch gets longer and longer. The accidents happen during the switching time, during the second while it's doing nothing. During that time, it's not driving nor phoning. All of this is happening very quickly; but the actual cause of the accident simply happens faster. And you can't react while your brain is in between two activities.
@@raybois I'm not asking why you shouldn't make calls while driving, I'm asking why you posted this in the comments. There is a huge difference between speaking to a video and talking on the phone, and its obvious: you don't ever have to focus on reactions to feedback from a person on the the other end of a video because said person doesn't exist. You don't have to focus on listening in order to provide a response. Your brain doesnt have to solve that part of the equation. Seems like a pretty big point to take into consideration. Does it divert some of your brain power towards something other than riding the bike? Yea, probably about as much as if you were thinking about something other than driving while you're behind the wheel in my estimation. To say that there is no difference between what he is doing and being on the phone is just easily reputable at the level of common sense.
I agree, this video is about the M/C life & procedures, not safety obligations on the road. What club you in
9.57 spot on 👍
Hey man what kind of stuff do that make you do as a prospect
Can't really say but every club is different
Man what kind of stuff did thay make you do do some clubs make you do some dangerous stuff
Some clubs are nicer than others but it's not crime it's cleaning, bartending, driving drunk members home stuff like that
100%
I have a question. How do you as prospect get noticed and get attention from the Prez ?
You have to just do the right thing. Learn protocol, learn about your future brothers, and your sponsors job is to give updates to the prez.
You say hi
My opinion. If that’s what your thinking now. Your a me me dood

Does your club allow members to be of any race? Black, white,Hispanic,Asian etc
Yes. Any race welcomed.
To most it’s not race it’s club. You become a member. Of the club. New family no race anymore. It’s just club from then on.

What if the Mc says that you have a choice to be a prospect

Bruce Lee wasn't built like a tank and could kick 10 asses at once!
The next level is a prospect? What??
Not sure it’s the smartest thing, joining an M/C. The idea that you’re on call 24 hours....not for everyone.
