3rd Rock from the Sun was an awesome show
3rd rock from the sun was the greatest
John is fantastic in 'The World According to Garp'!
He will always be Lord Farquad to me...!!!
Shrek was the first movie of his I ever saw.
Me too
LOL I thought this was gonna be a genuine (and possibly hearthwarming) moment lol...oh Jimmy!
Ayyy the trinity killer. Damn he's one talented actor
He was also Winston Churchill.
Damn he's tall!! Such a funny guy!!
It's funny when John stands up and completely dwarfs him!
Awww I remember him from "3rdRock" he was and still is hilariously funny. Loved that show... I binge watched it on Hulu
Omg, diaper and all 😂🤣
Even though I was barely 3 when it came out, Garp is my favorite film of all time. Saw it in my early 20’s on HBO real late at night one time, and that was it. It instantly became my favorite film, and has remained so all these years. Have shared it with many friends over the years and they fell in love with it too. Yet I’m still Always impressed when someone has actually seen it, because sadly, it’s hugely under known, underrated, under mentioned, and under seen. When it’s actually one of those rare films that is simply perfect. From all aspects, from all categories-It’s just a brilliant, perfect film. Will love it forever. If I had to choose a final film to watch before I die, it would be this one.
*WHERE'S CAESAR?*
What a joy to hear the stories of these older entertainers! lol
I just commented something similar on a previous video * *hidesface* *
It's Trinity...
One of the best portrayals on TV. Such a scary character. When I saw him in 3d rock from the sun I was amazed at how funny he was.
He can do anything, this one. Great actor!
Out of all the roles I've seen him play, that is the one that stuck with me. Dude creepes me out lol.
OH Lordy they shouldn't have done that 🤣😂🤣😂🤭
i watched john for the first time in 1991 when i was a kid, in ricochet, that role stuck in my head and i always see him as that :D great actor, very underrated. the only thing i dont like about him, is that he's liverpool fan :P
For me, Lithgow is Qualen from Cliffhanger (1993) and Arthur Mitchell (Trinity Killer) from Dexter :)
weird that they didnt interview him after turning up. i would like to hear some anecdotes
It was a joke! It's unlikely he would come out in his underwear if this were real...
I know, it was funny with the underwear but I would like to hear him say some words about the film
Best actor in the world by far
I have to admit though there was disappointment it wasn't the real Brandon that was a really funny joke and John seemed to love it.
womp womp womp
2:03 Show hits new low in 3, 2, 1...
Jimmy... Jimmy... "35 YEAR anniversary" ??? There is only ONE anniversary per year, so why not go back to saying it right "35th anniversary" ??? I know that without seasons, on the west coast, "Time" has a different meaning. I.E. Celebrating a "3 month anniversary" or a "2 week anniversary". Even the word "Anniversary" comes from the word "Annual" !!!!!
I wonder if Brandon ever met Robin Williams or Glenn Close.
Awkward hand groping? Check.
Trinity killer :)
Look at these comments; people know him from EVERYWHERE.
That’s not the baby….lol
He does not age.
if Aaron Paul miraculously gains 130 lbs overnight he'll look like Brandon
Don't trust him he's a killer
I honestly haven't liked this guy since season 4 of Dexter.

So a non transgender person playing a transgender. Is that like a white person playing black face? Lithgow did that in World according to Garp and that's what another emmy award dude does(guy from Arrested Development). Things that make me go hmm.
no one wants to look at a real transgender person. that's just gross
Are you calling my best friend gross? The only thing that's gross is your personality.
Brian McAfee it's not the same thing at all. Because whilst being transgender isn't new, it's still a fairly new concept to most of the world. A lot of people are still in the educational phase of its cycle. People like John Lithgow and that "Arrested Development guy", aka Jeffrey Tambor, aren't being ignorant or disrespectful, they're paving the way to understanding and acceptance. So that there can be more Laverne Cox's and Jamie Clayton's in the world. By the way, you also referenced Jeffrey Tambor's Emmy win, but failed to acknowledge that during his acceptance speech for his transgender role, he acknowledged that there are so many great transgender actors that could have played the part, and that whilst he was grateful to have been embraced by the community, and of all the friends he had made, he hoped he was the LAST non transgender to play a transgender role. Change is coming. Don't misplace your frustration.
Just saying, let's not hate on the rare old white rich privileged men who actually do good in the world.
Christina Stork One of these days maroonoasis will hit on a transgender and get turned down. Or probably already has and got turned down. Lmao
