What would you recommend as a "budget" rod and reel for casting to sharks from the beach? Only get to go 4-6 times per year and don't want to drop $1k+
Cool...can you tell me what app you use? I have a new FD3 but had to order my remote ID, but im having issues trying to adjust settings on the 4k single axis gimble...the instructions are not so good on the camera settings
@YakinwithJack ...honestly, having trouble with app communication, home shows it as in the east coast by New York and I'm in Texas. Have only had the FD3 in the air a short time without the app, just controller only and it was stable. My camera is set on 2k presently and I wanted to set it to 4k. So what I see is I have to use the settings buttons on the camera and that's a challenge in itself so far. But, if I can't use the app I guess im fine with the default settings...I know it's self calibrating but it kind of scares me thinking I make a bait drop, hit return to home, and it starts heading across the gulf. What do you think?
Hey Jack! Do you not use your floats on the drone? I saw that Perdido Blane had lost a blade or something, causing his to crash on the beach. If that had happened 200 meters out in the surf, I'm guessing it would have been lost. Just a thought for what it's worth. Another great video, as always.
@@YakinwithJack yous good no worries I miss shark fishing offshore Charleston SC . We'd soak the meat a couple hours in milk and grill it yum yum yes milk it gets rid of the fishy taste good luck fishin
Why should it be illegal? It’s an awesome way to get big baits out way farther than you can cast to catch big game. I’m about to buy a drone myself Lol
@@YakinwithJack whatup, whats a good starter rod and reel to start deploying baits with drone? ive been looking at the Penn squall 50vsw 2 speed with maybe a penn carnage 3 surf rod. also looking at the slammer 10500 as i think open reel might be more fun but doesnt have as much line capatcity but still decent Braid Capacity (m/lb) 845/50 780/65 540/80

Depends on bait size and distance
But with spinning gear and about 1-3 pound baits I can get 4-6 bait drops

A Penn battle 6k-8k reel will a heavy dirt rod. Ugly stick makes a fairly cheep one around $100

I use the fd fly app if I use the app most of the time I just use the screen on the remote. What kind of issues are you having ?

You should be fine just check to make sure you aren’t by any air ports or military bases

Most of the time I don’t. He must of not of tightened them down properly they come with a wrench to torque them down
