I did a NorCal on my last Sierra. I also used rtv. After once Canadian winter the rocker was rusted to crap. The rtv held in moisture. I would suggest you weld the edge we’re the two panels meet then reapply some sort of rust inhibitor paint like por15
A Sp8 I love them, and will never do a build without using them. They get a ton of grip off-road and in mud but are some of the quietest tires I’ve ever used. Plus their LT weight ratings are usually really good if you’re wanting to tow larger amounts still.
Rustbelt Mechanic I have seen them on some 5.9 and 6.7 Cummins that roll through my bays here in Ga. I haven’t had a chance to ask how the customer likes them. I’m looking for a semi aggressive, E load range, and quiet-ish ride. Still wanna be able to hold a conversation in the cab over the exhaust and the tires talking back. But I’m only talkin 33” tires. My days of the big stuff is gone. Had 40” mud graps on my old LB7 and said after that never another nitto mud tire.
A Sp8 yeah the ridge grapplers are a totally different story, with a 4” straight exhaust and 37x13.5 tires I can hold a normal conversation easily in the cab.
Hey really liked that video I've got a question I've got an 05 Silverado 2500 HD and the parking brake cable is in the way on the drivers side pushing on the plastic fender well and rubbing on the tire I just need to know if there's anything I can do to pull it back out of the way away from the tire 🤦🤷🙏🤞!?
Doing a similar build what size are those wheels? I've got 22x14-76 I'm going with 9'' front lift. Worried it's going to rub like a mofo. Trying to find info out before dropping $2500 on 37/13.5/22s
How did the other side turn out? Was it even from the first side,? I always have trouble with that. Diggin the new intro n music. Tinted plate covers are illegal by me in Illinois, but that don't stop me.😎
Thanks! The other side worked out perfectly even, this is probably my 5th set doing this to over time. I hate the front plate and I would roll without it if I didn’t have holes in my front bumper already. Which is why when I upgrade bumpers it’ll just have to go! Getting close to that 1k mark aren’t you?!
Rustbelt Mechanic what about the front bumper? I have a 2018 midnight edition and im gonna have to trim some. Just not sure if the bumpers are actual metal were it’ll rust.
I watched a video from custom offset and it didn’t show where to cut at all. I appreciate you’re videos and getting in and showing how to do it.
This video was exactly what I needed! Thanks brother, I’ve been rubbing in that same spot when I turn too far after my lift and wheels.
Perfect video thanks for the how to explanation and nice touch on the intro
I appreciate this video man, I really didn’t want to get a body lift to try to clear my tires this looks way more convenient
Nice touch on the choice of song. You found a band that uses an air tool to match while you are grinding away. NICE!
Hey thanks for the quality video and good tunes. I wish more people would follow suite on here 💪💪

Janelle Taillon thanks for the advice and yes it’s going to get welded in here in the next few weeks. Until that time I painted everything in as well👍
I have 285/75r16s on some 16x10s that rub hahah I need a little trimming done for sure. Just browsing around at some videos.
Yes a good job _the head banging music .
Great detailed video. Thank you!
Great job. How much would you charge for that nor cal job??
Great choice of music🤘
I love the ending :D
Looks like a nice clean job, every NorCal job looks butchered up. Not sure why but your volume was kinda low. Thanks for sharing, peace out. Al
NOLAW47 thanks Al! Kinda trying a new intro and a new program for editing so I’ll adjust accordingly.👍
So how do you like those Ridge Grapplers?

Going outside right now to do this .. wish me luck lol

Nice video good instructional
How did you shave the fender flare?
Took just enough off with a rounded curve on the inside. Cut it off with a cutoff wheel
Would you still need to do this mod if you were one 33’s?
what size lift

@@RustbeltMechanic Should be 1k by Wednesday or so, we will see 🎉. I got some pretty cool tool review videos planned.
finger over the mic?
Wasn’t using the best mic setup at the time, have definitely since upgraded👍🏻
What did you use to prevent from rusting?
A can of black rubberized undercoating

Yes it’s metal and I used some clear silicone and trimmed it up with some black door edge trim as well to make it look clean
Great video!
about to be running 33x12.50's on my LLY no lift so lets see how this works LOL
I got 35s on a level 😂
Please adjust your mirrors lol

I second that.
Thank you
