Hello i,v been watching your videos, and i like them very much, i,v learned i lot. what sort/type of hydrostatic stearing did you ad on your Nuffield and what sort of oil do you use on it? Is it wrong to use a tractor combination oil, thatis a bit thinner than normal engine oil on a hydrostatic stearing? thanks alot in advanse if i get an answer. :-)
The kingpins are usually that worn that it is unlikely they are seized up but worth checking. The wandering is general wear but a radius rod usually vastly improves things, also a steering box refurb.
+1394db Hi, Well I was on it just seconds ago. But I do have spells when my phone says the page cant be found, but no one else is complaining. I will resend your password!
My Leyland takes lots and lots of steering wheel revolutions before it begins to turn then it's often over turned. So it ends up looking like a drunk used the brush hog. What might be the issue with slow/weak steering response?
@@montegoson Thank you so much for replying, and sorry that I didn't mention the model. It is a Leyland 245. I topped up the hydraulic oil above the PTO and it was very low. Is there another place that I need to add oil for steering or is this the only place? When you mention checking filter, will this be a filter near the front of the unit? Sorry that I know so very little and thank you for the help that you have already provided.

You don’t say which model but I’m guessing you have hydrostatic steering, check filter in rear of pump/ fluid level.

I have a picture for you of where to top up the power steering on your tractor but I don’t think I can send it on UA-cam?
@@montegoson I have tried to post a reply with my email four times over as many days but it seems UA-cam deletes the reply
