we had a Nuffield 460. it end up with a 180 hp engine from a Leyland Clydesdale truck in it. it could drive any forager you put behind it. it was fast on the road. some contractor bought from us and fitted it with a Leyland cab. bet the thing is still doing a job somewhere.
My father was a tractor dealer in Eire Ireland, he traded in a Nuffield tractor in the early 1990;s i think it was a 10/60 , he discovered that the tractor was a test built tractor prototype, as none of the parts supplied by Mahon Mc Philips would fit. The tractor was exported to Ireland by a scrap merchant from England in the 1970's he discovered. Unfortunately the tractor was sold as scrap melted down, as my father could not sell the tractor to another farmer at the time.
Lovely film,,But, My 4/60 was not one handed steering, especially with the Horndraulic loader on it. seemed a big powerfull tractor compared to our older Nuffields at the time though.
My grandfather has just the same tractor after 64 years the tractor still works. on a beautiful sunny day we sometimes take it for a ride.
Sweet memories my lovely grandad with this tractor when i was child.🇮🇹🤟💪
We had one on our farm back in early 1970s sadly the engine got tired and we had changed it from a replacement engine from our BMC Lorry .
Most interesting, thanks for putting this video up here on UA-cam.
Thanks Nuffieldcountry
there’s the best beautiful Nuffield video I ever seen.
An excellent video, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
So did, and do I, Colin!
Mooie film. Ik heb er erg goede herinneringen aan de 460.

What a pity! Thanks for the story!
After the 460. It was the end of Nuffield .
These were fast, very very fast, Leylands kept up the tradition when they took over, leave any other tractor in the dust for roadwork.
Böyle tüm tarihe mal olmuş traktörleri yeni nesillere aktarılmasına yardımcı olanlara teşekkürler. İzmir/TÜRKİYE
Spent my youth on these. Underpowered for Australian purposes but a lot of fun
Direksiyonu bu traktörlerde niye ortadan yapamamışlar

Great! 💯👍
