You can unlock and lock the deadbolt on your door with the Level Bolt app or Amazon Echo (Alexa) device. In this video, I installed the Level Bolt device inside my door’s deadbolt. My existing deadbolt wasn’t compatible with the Level Bolt and I also replaced the deadbolt with a newer version of the same deadbolt.

That piece that just sticks out is a security feature made to prevent the drilling out of the bolts in the lock. So using the level lock actually makes your door a little less secure because it doesn't have those features. If you get a grade 1 lock that works with level lock then you maintain your security. Thanks for the video just giving you some background information. Thank you.

Hi. Nice video. Do you know if the level bolt will work with Alexa Platinum instead of an Echo? Also, if I have ring doorbell can I control the bolt straight through the Ring app or do I need to connect it to Alexa 1st? Thanks in advance.

Alexa is saying that my level smart bolt lock is unresponsive and i called alexa and they said that Level lock is not compatible because its a bluetooth device but you got it to work with alexa. Please help

Having login issues on the Alexa app. When I try to enable the skill it opens the level login screen. I created my account with my phone number i put it in and my password. It says that it’s incorrect although I’ve changed it just to be sure. Is there an issue with logging with a phone number instead of an email?

Hi Caroline. Do you have a Ring doorbell? I followed your video and was able to enable Level Home on Alexa app. I linked my Level account and Alexa took less than 45 seconds to connect to my lock. Next I went to Devices then Locks, only to see the message "device is unresponsive". My research shows it would need a Ring doorbell in order to work with Alexa. Is that the case for you?
