Def Leppard has always been one of my favorite bands because their music is awesome. But the best thing about them is that the drummer lost his arm and they figured out a way to keep him in the band. That is true rock and roll brotherhood. Rock on!
Uhh No RICK figured out a way to STAY I'm the band Sav even said it would be unfair of them to deny Him his right to try,but He put in years of rehab and practice as well as being a pioneer of electronic drums.
He also kept his severed arm in his freezer until it started to decompose then he had it taxidermied and displayed on his fireplace.
I was always impressed with that

I was just thinking if anything, it proves that the show is “staged”. I’m sure the show’s producers went through it with the people in the background to just act as if nothing’s happening otherwise everybody would want to meet Phil and Joe if they just randomly walked in.

Once Phil had come in, confirmed and played the guitar, she should have said the price is now $12k.

I think if she really wanted the best price, she should've sold it at Auction. She knew the provenance (who sprayed it etc, and who it was for). It was in mint condition also. All that's needed was a large Rock n Roll Memorabilia Auction (yes they happen) and she might have doubled that take for the instrument.
I'll bet the pawn shop put it on sale for at least $12,000 ! 🤔

I worked at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida from 2006-2008. Def Leppard played a show there. I told my coworkers that I had to hear "Foolin'" before I did any work. That was Song #3 of their set. I was happy to hear it in person and my coworkers were happy that I was going to get to work after the song concluded.

Hmmm could she have went to a guitar store and bought it in 2010? That's when they were made. Could also be that her ex was a big def lepp/ jackson guitar fan boy who either died or got the short end of the divorce stick. OR.... it could be that PS was making an all-rock star show (which they were), found out Def Lepp were going to be in town and tracked down the owner of one of these guitars, who didn't want to be on TV so he said "Hey honey..wanna be on Pawn Stars?"

Friend of mine in industry told me Paul McCartney bought a Strat used by SRV for about $180,000, about 8 years ago. He was also negotiating for one from Hendrix (for much more), but I never heard if the sale went through.

Wesley Zimmerman yeah and now he has video evidence of Phil playing that guitar. An artist played guitar is worth far more than just a signed and/or decorated piece. Its now a Phil collen owned painted and played guitar with absolute assurance given by the artist himself on film. It's a literally perfect example of unquestionable provenance. It is a staged scene obviously but still the value on the guitar would have doubled at the very least as soon as he played it and gave his own assurance that it was a piece of his work.

I was a back stage visitor in johnson city Tn in around 1990-91 with def leppard for their concert. Wild and crazy awesome night. Phil looks about the same as he did back then. Awesome guitar 🎸
