Welcome to another video of the drum-tec "milestone kits" series, which we have created to demo only the most beautiful & high end electronic drum kit configurations imagineable.
Today we have hooked up a drum-tec pro series kit (Black finish) to the Pearl Mimic Pro sound module, and added both Roland and ATV e-cymbals to complete the kit. The configuration in detail:

Subtle and beautiful playing to the heavier progressive playing that shows of the power of Mimic Pro, ATV cymbals and drum-tec Pro pads at a new level. The Mimic excels here like I've not yet heard it demoed, and I've already been beyond impressed in subsequent videos.

Awesome idea to include some playing with background music! Please do one of those with other modules, Ad5, Roland etc

Why the mix of Roland and ATV cymbals? Does one work better than the other or was it just a size issue with ATV offering 18" Ride and 17" China which Roland does not? Just curious. Great video as always!
I was wondering the same thing. Why choose the Roland HH over the ATV? Any advantages?
Hey Pete, exaxctly! The ATVs were chosen for their bigger diameter (Ride) and cool / authentic look (china), to get a nice "creatively mixed" setup, that features as many configuration possibilities as possible. Apart from that, both ATV & Roland cymbals are working nicely with the Mimic Pro. We just try to cover up all combinations that are possible / imagineable for the Mimic :) kind regards!
Are their any percussion sounds in this at all?
Hey Randy, well there is a cowbell sound :) but you can load percussion samples to the module (one shot) & assign those to your trigger zones. Kind regards!
I am guessing there are no reso heads on the toms?
Hey Jason, all of our drum-tec pads come with single ply mesh reso heads on the bottom :) kind regards!
This marketing works counterintuitive: I do want this set, but Ralphs playing makes me feel unworthy of it. :p
