Thank you for the vid. I intend to purchase such a pen in days to come. How durable is this filling mechanism? I am curious about all things vacumatic.

The filling mechanism isn't the most durable in my experience. I sent the pen to Pilot for service twice (both times free for me).
If you like to change inks, the Pilot Custom 743 is probably the better option.

I prefer the Pilot Custom 743 instead. But I change inks often. I have videos about both pens if you need to compare them.
