I honestly don't recommend disassembling the LAMY 2000. It can be done and there's plenty of videos online that can show you the steps, but it's more trouble than it's worth. Just using the piston to flush out the ink over and over is a pain but it works well. - Colin
The bulb syringe method has never worked to completely clean any section I've ever used it on. Repeated attempts never remove all the accumulated ink. I always have to disassemble the nib and feed and clean them separately. So, no matter what Mr Goulet and scores of other UA-cam pundits recommend, I can't believe one can miraculously clean any pen section with one quick and easy flush.
+The Goulet Pen Company Question for you: Do you need to use distilled water when flushing a pen between ink changes? Or, is regular tap water fine? TIA!
Same question! I have the Pelikan M205 (Moonstone) and I so badly want to clean it thoroughly but I'm afraid of breaking it because I don't know if the piston bit can be removed (like in a TWSBI). :(
If you can remove the nib section* why would you need to remove the piston? People who don't know the basic facts of pen construction probably shouldn't be allowed to own Pelikans and such. *Pelikan actually offers instructions on how to clean their pens. Doesn't anyone bother to read the instructions?

They genuinely don't know and thats okay, that's why you ask questions. Also its their money, you can't gatekeep a pen bcs you don't like that they're asking questions about a product they purchased with their own funds.
Just used the rubber syringe method to clean my TWSBI Eco for the first time, and it worked like a charm. Thank you! :)
Yoplait oui yogurt cups, eat 2 and wash the glass cups. One for clean water and one for dirty water. This eliminates the twisting up dirty water.

How can I pack up the pen if I just used it but the nib is still wet of ink? Do I just dab it with cleaning paper?

Unfortunately not, those wrenches are designed to fit in TWSBI piston pens. - Colin
