Cheers. Yes, we would. Sunnyvale is definitely hurting. We consolidated hours and shifts so we can properly staff and stay close to profitable. Unfortunately, it is not profitable now, but it is a lot better than it was (and our team is not stretched as thin). The biggest issue is the lack of corporate employees not going to the office. We lost almost all catering and there is no such crowd. Staffing is also difficult. We would need to hire 5-6 more people to properly staff for lunch, and in these conditions, seems impossible (not sure why). Thank you so much for the support. -Kirk
After moving from Connecticut, the US birthplace of pizza (Frank Pepe), to California, I hated the San Francisco pizza. It just did not compare to NY style pizza. Then, I found this place! It is indeed awesome pizza. Kudos to the business structure, but the pizza is the star here!
Kinda, but not exactly. The member/owners in our business have governance rights and control. They can vote as 1 person = 1 vote. You cannot buy more influence or voting control, and you need to work in the business to be an owner. You can't sell your ownership to someone else.

That's correct. I am accountable to the workers. We built this company on respect and empowerment. If the team wants me out and wants to step up, they can take over the business and run it. If I am not performing my job well, instead of them leaving and working somewhere else, they can take action and make the business look like they want it to. I'm good with that. And if they do that, they will have grown into the team I have hoped for. Now, I hope I don't get fired, but I do hope I can eventually exit the business and have them flourish. That's the whole point!

Hi Tom, in fact, the Health Department has no issue with it. You can look at all of our health inspections online and see that not once did we get written up for glove usage. They was cleanliness. And as long as the people not doing customer stuff (like handling money or taking phone orders or cleaning) aren't making food without first washing their hands, there is no issue. It may seem to you like there is an issue because you want to see gloves being used, but I will say this: gloves desensitize the person. People often think wearing a glove makes it impossible to contaminate food. How often have you see a cashier wear gloves, take your money, and then make your sandwich? I'm not saying gloves can't be used properly and in a sanitary way, not at all. However, we prefer to educate our team and raise awareness about the issues. Health and Sanitation is our second highest priority in our business, and we take it very seriously. The only thing more important than sanitation....employee safety. The top two are pretty close, but all priorities need clarity, so employee safety is an easy winner. Our third priority is customer service, and it is a distant third to the first two. Hope this helps raise a bit of awareness to how we and others might operate. -Kirk
