Of course he said that. Benny was basically undefeated for 27 years almost all by knock out. Benny stated in many interviews that he had utmost respect for Jackie's fighting ability, skill, timing, and tenacity and that he truly believed that Jackie would have been a "champion" fighter in the ring had he decided to go in that direction. Jackie, however, felt that "real" fighting was for defense of himself or others and he had no desire to injure anyone if it wasn't necessary...a mindset definately not condusive to fighting for sport.
@@cherylcohen5700 Yeah, from what I've heard both men have always been highly complimentary of one another. It reminds me of the relationship that Bruce Lee had w/ Chuck Norris prior to his death, where both men thought very highly of one another & held each other w/ much respect.
@@Crimson_Titan Yep. Keith Vitali who was also in the movie said there was a little tension on the set between Jackie and Benny. In the close up slow mo shot of Jackie hitting Benny in the face, they did that shot a bunch of times. Jackie kept hitting harder and harder which is why that shot looks so good since it was real. So that kinda pissed off Benny a bit. But in the years after, Benny has been so complimentary of Jackie in his interviews about his experience filming with him. Benny was a true beast and a gentleman.
The movie is called Wheels on Meals, Jackie fights with Benny again in Dragons Forever. There's actually 3 fights going on, you'd only seen one of them, the other two features Yuen Biao and Sammo, Dragons Forever is their last collaboration together. The other movies with the trio includes My Lucky Stars and Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars. Sammo is actually Jackie's senior, though he's fat and big he's actually fast, more precise and kicks and punch like a brick. Just find the fights in Eastern Condor and Padicab Driver or find his fight with Donnie Yen in SPL (called Kill Zone in the U.S) Sammo is the choreographer for Wheels on Meals and the first two and best Ip Man movies.

This is the best fight scene in history of the martial arts movies. Equal to the fight in the Coloseum between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.
